2002 Lexus Sc430 Base Convertible 2-door 4.3l on 2040-cars
Decatur, Georgia, United States
2002 Lexus SC 430
This auction is the result of a sales manager and a general manager having very different opinions on how to sell vehicles. They are both great people, but having the final word in this sale, I've decided to use this as a learning experience for them. If the desired price I expect is not achieved at the end of this auction, there will be two people with a mysterious "deduction" in their pay for the month.
I have great working relationship with a dealer that because of strict corporate rules and regulations can only stock vehicles with under 120,000 miles. I have the luck of being the first to see the vehicles he has to sell dealer to dealer or auction. I get to see, drive, and hand pick what he has. Once we agree on a price, I buy the vehicles and pass on my savings to the retail customer.
I am not a huge dealer and therefore do not offer financing or warranties. All vehicles are sold as-is with no warranty written or implied. The perk to buying from my listing on eBay is that the DOC fee's are waived and the other fee collected is the Dealer fee. We charge $599 for this, but because of the nature of this sale.....I am letting the sales manager and general manager pay this for the lucky winner. This is an ABSOLUTE sale. The winning bid is the total sales price.
We have this car listed locally ($15,995) and reserve the right to remove the listing at any time. The car can be seen by appointment in the metro Atlanta area. Please see my 100% positive feedback and know you are buying from a trusted buyer & seller.
Most desired color combination available Black/Camel Top works flawlessly Very fun car to drive

Mazda and Lexus crowned with KBB 5-Year Cost To Own awards
Tue, 12 Feb 2013We report on a lot of awards, some of which are given out based on more solid criteria than others. This one, the Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own awards, seems like one that new car shoppers should pay attention to.
The cost of a car goes far beyond what you pay for the actual metal, leather and rubber at the point of purchase. Fuel, insurance, maintenance and repair costs, and the cost of fees from the state and financing will all weigh on your wallet while you own the car. That's not even taking into account the biggest cost: depreciation, or the amount of money you lose based on what your car is worth years from now versus the day you bought it.
KBB tracks these sorts of things, and they've compiled a list of winners for 2013 models. On the brand level, Mazda and Lexus earn the 5-Year Cost to Own award for having the lowest overall projected five-year totals (though, curiously, we note that Mazda and Lexus each had only one segment winner). There are lots of winners for all the various segments, so we'll just pick out a few surprising ones to share and you can view the rest here.
Lexus LF-NX gets turbocharged second act [w/video]
Thu, 21 Nov 2013Don't let its supremely polarizing appearance fool you, this is not the Lexus LF-NX Concept that you (probably) had a strong reaction to when it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The German version of the concept car featured a variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, while this LF-NX Turbo, well, it has "turbo" in the name, you see?
If fact, the namesake turbo would appear to be the first for Lexus; getting off the line in the forced-induction race with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine that "paves the way for the introduction of turbocharged powerplants in future Lexus models." Sounds good to us. The new turbo four has plenty of tricky tech, too. Lexus tells us that the engine makes use of an advanced high tumble port, fan spray fuel injection, VVT-iw variable valve timing, an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head and, of course, a twin-scroll turbo with active wastegate valve. The result is said to be a blown engine that offers quick throttle response and "exhilarating" performance, along with excellent fuel economy and low tailpipe emissions.
As for the rest of the LF-NX Turbo concept? Well, you've seen this angular concept crossover before, basically. There's a slightly tweaked front end and new wheels sitting in slightly cleaned-up wheel wells. The boldest-yet version of the spindle grille still bears an uncanny resemblance to The Predator, and the slightly revised exterior visuals won't change your made-up-mind about this vision of Lexus' future.
Lexus RC configurator comes alive, priced from $42,790*
Sat, 15 Nov 2014Fancy yourself an example of Lexus' take on the BMW 4 Series and Audi A5? Well, now you can customize your very own RC on Lexus' consumer website. With prices starting at $42,790 for a rear-drive model while an all-wheel-drive RC kicks off at $45,025. Neither price includes Lexus' *$925 destination charge.
With a wild (by Lexus' standards) color palette and the option of regular and F Sport trims, there's a fair amount to play with in this configurator. That said, it follows the brand's typical strategy of offering colors and upholsteries along with a wide range of pre-determined options packages.
For those waiting on the configurator for the RC F, it looks like you'll have to wait a big longer, as Lexus hasn't launched a builder for its high-performance, 467-horsepower, $63,325 coupe. Stay tuned for that one.
