This 1997 Lexus SC 300 coupe is completely stock with no mechanical modifications. It has 109,000 original miles. The body is in beautiful condition without dents or dings and is in the rare and beautiful sapphire pearl blue color that shines like new. The rear bumper has a small scuff. The interior shows normal wear. The driver's side seat has a small rip on the side. The rear seat has a small tear, although the rear seats otherwise look like new.
Recent service includes new brakes and rotors (back and front) and current inspections as well as oil changes (Mobil 1). The previous owner changed the timing belt and water pump at 90,000 miles. HID lights are 8,000 K headlights and 3,000 K yellow fog lights. Brand-new Pioneer AVH-1500 double din stereo system that is connected to the premium JBL stock system. Additional wires from the stereo are ready for a boom box to be added, if you like. Rims on the car are not perfect (purchased in this condition). Toyota Hilux gets heart transplant from Lexus IS F
Thu, Sep 10 2015The Toyota Hilux might not be sold in the US, but Toyota's venerable pickup has an international reputation of being able to go anywhere and do just about anything. The trucks aren't really known for their speed, though, at least until Toyota South Africa Motorsport's new, one-off project. This bruiser ditches the usual diesel engine and replaces it with an unrestricted 5.0-liter V8 from a Lexus IS F making 449 horsepower. Of course, it takes more than power to handle the rigors of high speed off-roading. The motorsport team also adds bigger, competition-spec brakes, fully adjustable dampers, new springs, and retuned gearing to make the truck look practically ready for the Dakar Rally. The gearbox is really the only part that carries over. The V8 gives the special Hilux quite a mean growl, too. With the new Tacoma just launching in the US, maybe the engineers at TRD need to apply this same concept over here for its own Lexus-engined, one-off pickup.
