For sale is an excellent condition 2005 Lexus LS430 4.3L V8 equipped with the Modern Luxury Package (+$4,980 MSRP). This LS430 has been religiously maintained and therefore runs like NEW. The car was purchased new at MotorWorld Lexus and has changed ownership once within the family. Since the day it was first brought home, it has been stored in a climate-controlled garage on a battery tender and has been used as a weekend cruiser. It has NEVER seen road salt or snow and has NEVER been smoked in.

Just to clarify, I've received a few questions regarding the pictures. There are no dents, dings, scratches on the vehicle. Anything resembling such in the pictures are reflections indicating the shine and depth of the paint. As an auto enthusiast and collector, I'm (begrudgingly) selling this beautiful car because I recently added another car to the collection, and this one needs to go.

The only modification to the car is a wheel/tire upgrade. The car currently sits on 18x8 Bremmer Kraft BR02 BSML wheels wrapped in 245/45ZR-18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. I do have the stock tires and wheels which show some slight curb rash.

This Lexus is loaded with luxury and convenience features. Among them: adaptive xenon headlamps, 14-way power-adjustable driver's and 10-way power-adjustable passenger seats, HomeLink® universal transceiver, leather-trimmed upholstery, all weather mats, auto oscillating vents, power moonroof with auto open/close, power rear sunshade, lighted rear-seat vanity mirrors. The Modern Luxury Package bundles a Mark Levinson® 11-speaker, 240-watt Premium Audio System and in-dash, single-feed, six-disc CD auto-changer, DVD-based navigation system, rear backup camera, Bluetooth communications technology, climate-controlled heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and Intuitive Parking Assist.

Serious inquires only. Buyers/bidders of this auction must have a feedback score greater than 0.

2014 Lexus GS gets eight-speed auto, other enhancements

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

The Lexus GS was totally redesigned for the 2013 model year, but Lexus is already tweaking its midsize luxury sedan. While a handful of small changes are being made, the big news for the 2014 model year is that rear-wheel-drive GS350 models will be getting a new eight-speed automatic transmission for improved fuel economy and performance.
Official EPA estimates have yet to be released, but Lexus expects this new transmission to return 19 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway - an improvement of 1 mpg highway. The GS450h still uses a continuously variable transmission, but Lexus says that it has been optimized to mimic the shift points of an eight-speed automatic. The final powertrain change made to the 2014 Lexus GS include tweaks to the GS350's engine intake and exhaust systems, which should help give the sedan a sportier feel.
Inside, Lexus has added Siri Eyes Free inside both the GS350 and GS450h, which allows drivers to use their iPhone's Siri voice assistant simply by pushing a button on the steering wheel. Other changes include a new full-color head-up display, and an available power trunk opener. A new Luxury Package adds LED fog lights, 18-inch "superchrome" wheels on the GS350 and 18-inch graphite-finish wheels on the GS450h. Interesting, the optional Lexus Night View system has been dropped.

Lexus ES350 confirmed for Kentucky production starting in 2015

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Following Thursday's report, Toyota has confirmed that production of the Lexus ES will move to its Georgetown, KY assembly plant starting in 2015. To accommodate the extra 50,000 units of capacity that the ES represents, Toyota will be investing $360 million in the plant and hiring 750 new workers.
In the previous report, sources stated that the state of Kentucky had offered Toyota as much as $146.5 million to move ES production to the Georgetown facility.
The press release, posted below, specifies that only the ES350 will be built in Kentucky, so it's likely that the ES300h hybrid will continue to be built in Japan - where all ES models have been built since the car was introduced in 1989. Toyota's Georgetown plant, which currently builds the Toyota Camry, will also be getting an expansion to its engine plant to produce more four-cylinder engines at a cost of $30 million and will create an additional 80 jobs.
