The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"The color is deep and rich and really, looks stunning from the outside. It has very minor scratches and chips, a few dings, and some leather tears on one small section of the passenger side interior wall near the seatbelt. It's missing the front right lower running light (I had it priced at $60 from an auto shop)."

This is a $10,000 car that I'm selling for $7300 because I need of cash right now and because it needs two front engine mounts replaced at some point (~$400 at dealership). The engine runs great as is - it's NOT a reliability issue, just a nuisance. There's an engine vibration @ ~2300rpm. I had the chief mechanics at a Firestone Repair Shop and at a large dealership inspect the car. Both said the engine and transmission are perfect (perfect timing, no misfires, etc) - only problem is the mounts.

This is a beautiful, spacious, 300 HP luxury sedan with great acceleration, incredible cornering, and powerful braking. Power everything - seats, wheel, mirror, setting memory, garage opener, heated seats, rear A/C, etc. Clean carfax but I can tell the prev owner had a front-end accident that was not reported (but did a good job repairing - only cosmetic damage/not structural).

Clean/clear title (NOT "salvage"). Easily has 200k miles left in it (~20 years).

Contact Eric via email (I'll respond within a day) or via text 803-three-one-six-6336 (I'll respond within a few hours). Thanks.

More pictures of the car are here:

I took pictures of all cosmetic damages and posted them here:

Lexus asks fans to help name new orange shade for RC F

Thu, 08 May 2014

Flip through the catalog for most Lexus models and you're bound to see an array of different shades of beige and gray. But even Lexus has its wilder side, denoted by the letter F, and those models can wear brighter hues.
The IS F, for example, offered an electric shade of blue which Lexus called Ultrasonic and a deep red called Matador, along with the usual silver, gray, white and black. But for the new RC F, Lexus is preparing to offer an even more vibrant shade of orange. It just doesn't know what to call it. That's why it's asking fans on Facebook to help it name the color - similar to the crowd-sourcing SRT did for the Viper's bright blue and Chevy did for the Volt's pale green.
Top suggestions currently include Tangerine Flame, Solar Flare, Outrageous Orange and Fiery Orange. Given how similar the shade looks to that which adorned the track-tuned LFA with the Nürburgring package, we can't help but wonder if LFA Blaze or Nordschleife Blur might not be more suitable. Or, if we're being honest, McLaren Orange or Arancia Borealis... though we know some guys in Woking and Sant'Agata Bolognese who might object.

Lexus bringing next-gen IS to Detroit

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

With ES, GS and LS models all now minty fresh at your local Lexus showroom, it was only a matter of time before we had official word that the company's IS had a replacement in the wings. That word has come down today in an ultra brief press release that names the date and venue that the sheet will be pulled on the new car: January 15th in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show.
Don't pay too much attention to the test mule in these dusty spy shots, we're told that the small Lexus has been "completely redesigned" from the inside out and that it has drawn inspiration from the sultry LF-CC concept car. In LA we learned that the LF-CC has been green-lit for production, so we'd expect to see a lot of cues from that car (in the gallery below) lifted directly for the all-new IS. New fang-face, here we come.
While a coupe and a convertible version of the next IS are undoubtedly in the cards, too, we'd guess that the sedan will be first to go on stage at Detroit next month.

Lexus LX to get diesel engine?

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Australian consumers appear poised to get another diesel-burning luxury SUV in the near future, and word is it's coming from Lexus, of all automakers. Sean Hanley, chief executive of the company's branch in Oz, recently told Aussie website Drive that he's "pretty confident" that the new engine for the LX is getting the green light.
Like in the US, the LX in Australia is currently only offered with a 5.7-liter, gasoline-burning V8. However, sales of the big SUV are presently minuscule Down Under, with Drive reporting just 153 LX570s sold in all of Oz last year. Hanley is negotiating with Japan to get the new diesel in hopes of boosting flagging sales. If his efforts are successful, it would be the first diesel engine offered in a Lexus there. Hanley didn't specify exactly which mill the SUV would get. However, given the LX's close relationship with Toyota Land Cruiser, the diesel 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 already available in the Toyota in markets outside of North America seems like a natural choice.
Don't expect the variant to be hopping across the Pacific, though. Lexus spokesperson Allison Takahashi tells Autoblog she has heard "nothing" about an oil-burning LX coming to the US. That's not a huge surprise, though, because neither Toyota nor Lexus offer any diesels in their lineups today. Also, Lexus has only sold 1,981 LX570s through June, which only placed it ahead of the LFA supercar in the brand's sales. It's probably just not worth certifying the engine for such a low-volume model.
