If you are looking for a bargain on a Nice IS250 you have found it. This was bought from an insurance company. This Runs and Drives Perfect like a new one. This had minor damage to the rear. The parts replaced was the rear bumper and repaired the quarters. The repair is great. There are a few rock dings on the hood which are touched up. The car drives perfect. This has NEW tires on the front. The interior is super clean. Everything works perfect. This smells nice inside and It is a clean car. Drives perfect. This is sold with a salvage title. There will be a $200 title fee added to for a dealer fee. This is sold with a clear regular salvage title. We can provide a regular clean clear "rebuilt" inspected title for an extra $190. Folks ask why this has a salvage title. The insurance companies give all cars that are paid out a salvage title to release liability. Even if you leave the window down and make a claim most of the time it is paid off to release liability to the insurance company. There's a guy that goes to my gym who can't get enough of the Lexus LS - let's call him Gary. Gary's the guy - you've probably got one at your gym, or coffee shop, or some other public but quasi-social location - who talks to everyone he meets. Sit next to him on the rowing machine or run by him on the track, and he's almost certainly going to bend your ear for a minute or 20. Gary is in his mid-60s, a business owner, and the super-proud owner of a 2013 Lexus LS.
Not being a shy man, Gary will be the first one to tell you that he didn't do much comparative shopping (he "drove by" the BMW dealership, and looked at a 7 Series "on the computer"). Being a satisfied former owner of multiple Lexus RXs, there was probably only a tiny statistical chance that Gary wouldn't end up in an LS when it came time for him to treat himself to the tricked out luxury car that he'd wanted for a long time. Still, when I found myself chatting with Gary about his new LS, right after I had spent a wintry week in the 2013 LS460 F-Sport AWD, I figured that he'd have some light to shed on the car.
2015 Lexus NX 300h
Mon, 14 Jul 2014With so much hullabaloo being made over the first gasoline turbocharged engine produced by Lexus, it's easy to forget that there's another option for those who'd rather (barely) hear the whirring of electric motors than the high-pitched whizzing of turbos. That's too bad, because we think the NX 300h is one of the more interesting hybrids on the market, due in large part to its innovative all-wheel-drive system and relatively sporty driving dynamics. We spent several hours with the brand-new hybrid crossover from Lexus, and we came away with plenty to talk about.
Driving Notes
Of course, the big thing that differentiates the 300h from the 200t is its drivetrain. In place of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder sits a 2.5-liter gasoline engine that runs exclusively on the Atkinson cycle to save fuel, augmented by a pair of electric motors and mated to an electronic continuously variable transmission. Lexus is no stranger to hybrids, buoyed by parent company Toyota's expertise, and the basic setup used by the NX 300h is a well-known quantity shared with the ES 300h.
