2007 Lexus IS 250 AWD. I am the second owner. Has navigation and the luxury package which includes: heated and ventilated front seats, driver and passenger memory searts, xenon headlights with afs, electrochromatic mirrors, reverse tiltdown side mirrors, power tilt/telescoping steering column, rain sensing wipers, power rear sunshade, and maple trim. This car has the Lexus Platinum Vehicle Extended Service Agreement until 8/17/15 or 100,00 miles and it is transferable for a small fee (I think it's $50). Tires have about 6000 miles on them they are Bridgestone Potenza RE970as pole positions, brakes were done in the spring of 13, 90,000 mile service was just done. In the spirit of full disclosure: I was in an accident last spring in this car. Someone pulled out in front of me turning against traffic and I coldn't stop in time. Impact was at pretty low speed. The bumper and grille cracked and needed to be replaced. The headlight had a scuff on lens and had to be replaced and the hood had a slight bend where it meets the grille and was fixed. I had the work done at a high end body shop that specializes in imports and high end vehicles, I have the invoice for the work done. Drive door has a ding to the left and below the door handle Bumper had a couple of scratches and a dent in center right the passenger side a pillar has a stone ding The rear seats have a few small tears The nav bezel has a small ding in it The wheels have paint flaking and curb rash. I was going to relegate these to winter use only, but never got around to buying a new set I can send close ups of these issues if you are interested photo IMG_0582_zps33bf268a.jpg photo IMG_0574_zps4411900f.jpg photo IMG_0481_zps3c73aded.jpg photo IMG_0482_zps12d3bf3b.jpg photo IMG_0483_zpsf5594a52.jpg photo IMG_0484_zpsac1ff1bc.jpg photo IMG_0490_zps5995ffc3.jpg photo IMG_0491_zpse9da0860.jpg photo IMG_0492_zps9c3aff0e.jpg photo IMG_0493_zps2b6dd60b.jpg photo IMG_0494_zps360e3ce1.jpg photo IMG_0495_zps1f1d5972.jpg photo IMG_0496_zpsd1c2595c.jpg photo IMG_0497_zps52d5161a.jpg photo IMG_0498_zpscdb1bf41.jpg photo IMG_0499_zps443466d9.jpg photo IMG_0500_zps978de1b9.jpg photo IMG_0501_zpsbab64978.jpg photo IMG_0502_zpsd4fc68f9.jpg photo IMG_0503_zps4b6c8d07.jpg photo IMG_0504_zps4fa92a6b.jpg photo IMG_0505_zpsbc1437ff.jpg photo IMG_0506_zps10af72dc.jpg photo IMG_0507_zps33e23da5.jpg photo IMG_0508_zps98619d15.jpg photo IMG_0509_zpsc77de570.jpg photo IMG_0510_zps51f9e9ea.jpg photo IMG_0511_zps95b15f70.jpg photo IMG_0512_zpsa28f25d7.jpg photo IMG_0513_zpsc029cfef.jpg photo IMG_0514_zps65033051.jpg photo IMG_0515_zpsbb5620e2.jpg photo IMG_0516_zps1825b267.jpg photo IMG_0517_zps525d1cdc.jpg photo IMG_0518_zps0020acbe.jpg photo IMG_0519_zpsbe14efc0.jpg photo IMG_0520_zpsfb8e1d90.jpg photo IMG_0521_zps29bbc797.jpg photo IMG_0522_zps5aaa0249.jpg photo IMG_0523_zpsd82addf7.jpg photo IMG_0524_zps6767ca16.jpg photo IMG_0525_zpsc42c803b.jpg photo IMG_0526_zps417f27d0.jpg photo IMG_0527_zps2ede1609.jpg photo IMG_0528_zpsb47695a3.jpg photo IMG_0529_zps37652938.jpg photo IMG_0530_zps1662fd5e.jpg photo IMG_0531_zps4cea7146.jpg photo IMG_0532_zps0896576a.jpg photo IMG_0533_zps2a1e6db9.jpg photo IMG_0534_zps2e48b9bd.jpg photo IMG_0535_zps91a08cca.jpg photo IMG_0536_zpsdbbb17b9.jpg photo IMG_0537_zpsb29f13a5.jpg photo IMG_0538_zps4f39c8e2.jpg photo IMG_0539_zpsc133abfa.jpg photo IMG_0540_zps89e95935.jpg photo IMG_0541_zps1e51bd75.jpg photo IMG_0542_zpse8dc7038.jpg photo IMG_0543_zpsf29e9ece.jpg photo IMG_0544_zps249ca57b.jpg photo IMG_0545_zps0f690c89.jpg photo IMG_0546_zpsfbbc03df.jpg photo IMG_0547_zpsad98a063.jpg photo IMG_0548_zpsd966076b.jpg photo IMG_0549_zps8d9e3c83.jpg photo IMG_0550_zps971c2bbe.jpg photo IMG_0551_zps51c59515.jpg photo IMG_0552_zps81bea46a.jpg photo IMG_0553_zps519b2eae.jpg photo IMG_0556_zpsca514124.jpg photo IMG_0557_zpsa15926ce.jpg photo IMG_0558_zpsb2c772af.jpg photo IMG_0559_zps7a73423c.jpg photo IMG_0560_zps0af39ec7.jpg photo IMG_0561_zps48fe2cd1.jpg photo IMG_0574_zps4411900f.jpg

2017 LC 500 is the future of Lexus [w/video]

Mon, Jan 11 2016

The 2017 LC 500 shows where Lexus is headed. In this case it's not just a flashy grille and a big engine like earlier Lexus efforts. This time every facet of the engineering went into making the car handle better, and the styling and engineering were developed hand in hand. It won't set any sales records, but it will win a lot of eyeballs. Why is Lexus making another coupe? That's a fair question, as slow-selling two doors don't do much to improve market share. The reason for the LC is to make a statement, both in terms of style and engineering. It looks remarkably close to the 2012 LF-LC concept. And underpinning the taut styling is a new global architecture that will underpin future cars like the LS. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The LC 500 is Toyota's way of saying, yet again, that it's serious about reforming the Lexus reputation into one that include performance and style. On paper the 467-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 (the same as in the RC F and GS F) performance claim looks like sloppy handwriting, but Lexus claims a 0-60 time of less than 4.5 seconds. Rumors abound that more power will come to the LC lineup in a few years, most likely in some kind of turbocharged form. Backing up the engine is a ten-speed transmission. Yes, ten. Lexus claims the gearbox is nearly as fast as a dual-clutch automatic, and that the overall size is smaller than some eight speed 'boxes. Underpinning the LC is an all new structure that includes carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum, and high-strength steel. Torsional rigidity is said to be better than the all-carbon fiber LF A supercar. We're worried the ride could be on the stiff side, with run flat tires on both standard 20-inch wheel and the optional 21-inch wheels seen on the show car. All hope for retaining a pleasant ride lies with the suspension, which is nearly all aluminum. But as we mentioned, this car is skewed towards performance, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on show car promised new levels of lateral grip for a big Lexus. What's more promising is the claim that Lexus spend triple the standard time developing the steering feel and handling. This could be the best-handling Lexus ever, but don't expect the LC 500 to be a Porsche 911 competitor. Preconceptions aside, the LC is bigger than a Carrera and that alone dictates a different character. The Lexus is closer to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and BMW 6 Series in size.

Lexus compact crossover based on the UX could debut in Geneva

Tue, Jan 30 2018

We have but one line to go on, from Car magazine's section on Lexus in the rundown of Geneva Motor Show reveals: "Baby SUV not yet confirmed, but word is that a Lexus small crossover based on UX concept is due." Actually, there's a tad more than hearsay to add to that line: Lexus International EVP Yoshihiro Sawa said one year ago that the carmaker already approved a production version of the UX, and that it is "not so far away." The trail goes cold there, though, when trying to divine what a civilian UX would look like. The production model should borrow its platform and some organs from the Toyota C-HR, which rides on the TNGA bones also shared with the Prius. Yet the UX concept, shown at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, warped so many dimensions it belongs in the coming Avatar sequels or a " Time Bandit" reboot. Chapeau to the designers for compressing so much action in so little space; at 173.2 inches long, 74.8 inches wide, and 59.8 inches tall, on a 103.9-inch wheelbase, the UX concept was a smidge larger than an Audi Q3, a smidge smaller than the Mercedes GLA. A retail crossover based on the concept would need to give up 93 percent of the UX's character, but that remaining 7 percent would still be powerful — especially when you add a big ol' spindle grille. We expect the Lexus baby CUV to come to America, but that's not confirmed. Lexus did trademark the names UX 200, UX 250, and UX 250h with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2016, and Jeff Bracken, Lexus' North America group VP and GM, said, "Our dealers are all over us to produce that concept vehicle." And why not? Crossovers constitute the majority of Lexus' U.S. sales, and Lexus seriously seeks the younger buyers who can't get enough compact crossover bait. And the production UX would provide a new entry-level vehicle to challenge entrants in the GLA and BMW X1 class, where the Germans and other carmakers are minting money. Lexus has pledged not to sell a vehicle in the U.S. for under $30,000, but it's got room to play with between that floor and the $35,985 Lexus NX. Related Video:

2019 Lexus ES 350 starts at just $550 more than outgoing model

Mon, Jul 30 2018

Lexus wants you to pay attention to the 2019 ES. The all-new, seventh-generation midsize sedan that Lexus benchmarked against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6 gets a base price that just a few hundred over the old car. The entry-level ES 350 starts at $39,500; after $1,025 for destination and handling, that's $40,525 out the door and $550 more Washingtons than the 2018 model required. The mid-level ES 300h starts at $43,310, or $44,335 out the door. That saves $510 compared to the 2018 version, and it gets better fuel economy. The all-new ES 350 F Sport starts at $44,035, for $45,060 out the door. Every model rides on the Toyota New Global Architecture, known as GA-K here. The lighter, stiffer body hides improved mechanicals like rack-mounted electric power steering, and a new multilink rear suspension that encouraged fun driving during our recent review. The updated Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 comes standard on all models, and incorporates new features like daytime bicyclist detection and low light pedestrian detection. The ES 350 and ES 350 F Sport get a 3.5-liter V6 with 302 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, 34 hp and 19 lb-ft over the former sedan, working through a new eight-speed transmission. The F trim makes itself known with 19-inch wheels, rear spoiler, and retuned suspension. EPA ratings for the ES 350 come in at 22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined, an increase of two more miles per gallon on the combined cycle. The ES 350 F Sport is rated at 22 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined. The ES 350h uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder with fourth-generation Hybrid Drive. The 215 total horsepower from the ICE and electric motor returns 43 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined. Lexus says this makes it the most frugal luxury car out there that doesn't have a plug. The ES is also the first Lexus to offer Apple CarPlay, on top of being able to use Amazon Alexa to communicate between the sedan and the home. The 2019 Lexus ES goes on sale in September.
