I have decided to sell one of my is300's in order to buy a truck or SUV.  This is my 4th is300 and I currrently own 2 of them I love these cars.  I searched the whole country before I bought this one and in my opinion it was one of the nicest and lowest miles cars around when I bought it. I looked at over 20 before buying this car.  If your looking for a lexus is300 then look no further this is the car you want to buy. I have sold 4 cars on ebay before with 100% feedback everytime. I paid 10k for this car last year plus shipping cost, and then have spent thousands in maintenance, I dont expect to get that back but the reserve will reflect the value to me of this vehicle, try and find another one as good as mine.

New parts or recently replaced:

*Timing belt and water pump at 100k miles, the car currently has 121k. Your good for another 100k miles

*Transmission flush and fluid replaced to oem spec, same with rear diff. The car shifts like brand new really really smooth

*Coolant flushed and replaced, AC recharged to 50lbs (full)  blows very cold, heat works great.

*Brand new tires on all 4 corners

*New brake rotors and pads, not resurfaced, all new

*belts and pulley bearings replaced.

*New NGK plugs and plug wires and plug caps

*Replaced the steering bushings, common wear item on is300's that get ignored. Not cheap or easy to replace. I just did this.

*Sway bar bushings replaced, and control arm upper and lower bushing inspected , still in good shape.

*Shocks replaced with Tokico blues, very expensive and excellent ride quality.

*Had wheels professionally refinished in a gunmetal with a little pearl, looks great gets compliments. no rash or dings

*Calipers where painted black with high heat caliper paint, and I put new white lexus brake decals on all four calipers.

*MAF sensor replaced

*K&N drop in filter which is a lifetime filter, adds HP and fuel economy,  also cabin filter was replaced

*Just changed the oil and got emissions done

*Interior LED conversion super bright, also replaced lic plate lights with LEDS for cleaner look.

Problems or issues, the factory CD player doesnt work which is common with is300's the radio works fine and I use my ipod with wireless fm module. There is a small scrape area on the front bumper which im having fixed right now, costing me $150 to fix not that big a deal. The interior drivers side back door has a tiny knick, and there is a small spot on the rear back window too where the tint got knicked. I play hockey and its from my hockey stick hitting it while closing the door, its very minor but wanted to disclose everything.

I have some extras that will go with the car, if reserve price is met,  new lowering springs, cold air intake, front grill, front lip spoiler, Stoptech SS brake lines front and rear.

Lexus LF-C2 Concept shows polarizing looks are here to stay

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Well, that's one question answered. When Lexus released the first teaser for its LF-C2 Concept, we figured it'd be one of two things - either it'd be a convertible based on the LF-LC Concept car or it'd be a thinly veiled concept version of the RC Convertible. Turns out, it's kind of both.
The LF-LC styling straddles the wilder, concepty looks of the LF-LC and the still wild, but more grounded, looks of the RC. That doesn't mean it's not a polarizing piece of design, with Lexus styling trademarks like the dominating spindle grille and separate LED running lights. Lexus' knife-edge cuts and folds in the bodywork have been toned down relative to past concepts, but the overall look here, particularly in the rear fenders, is rather busy.
"The LF-C2 concept shows what's in store for our brand's future design direction," Lexus boss Jeff Bracken said. "This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus' devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience."

Did Lexus make a BMW? Or did BMW make a Lexus? This and other 2017 surprises

Fri, Dec 29 2017

It's that time of year again. The calendar is about to reach its end, Star Trek Cats 2018 is about to take its place, and I'm reflecting about all the cars that graced my driveway this year or summoned me to exotic places. You know, like Stuttgart or Phoenix. In 2017, I drove at least 57, and as I perused the list of them, I started to notice a common refrain: "This car surprised me." Most were pleasant surprises, but there were a few head scratchers and facepalms for good measure. In both cases, it was generally the result of car companies seemingly trying to break out of an existing mold. Nowhere was that more apparent than the pair of Lexuses slathered in Infrared paint: The LS 500 that left me this week and the LC 500 that was my favorite car of 2017. Though Lexus has been trying to shake its crusty, gold-packaged reputation for some time now, its efforts always seemed like an old man choosing Hollister to redo his wardrobe after realizing it hasn't been updated since 1987. I fell in love with the LC, genuinely floored by its near-perfect take on the GT. It's characterful in sound, appearance and tactility. It was at home in the city, in the mountain and on the open road. It was both comfortable and thrilling, and after driving the mechanically related LS 500, I can report that the LC's talents aren't an outlier. The LS 500's turbo V6 may make different noises than the LC's naturally aspirated V8, but it nevertheless invigorates the cabin when the car is placed in Sport+ mode. The steering is truly communicative, body motions are kept in miraculous check, and I absolutely forgot I was in an enormous luxury limo ... and a Lexus one at that. It was everything that the BMW 530e was not. I drove that on the exact same roads and was utterly bored the entire time. Generally doughy, lifeless steering, more distant than Planet 9. And no, the plug-in hybrid powertrain had nothing to do with that. At least it shouldn't. The Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid I also drove this year proves that, as do the Hyundai Ioniqs, which are surprisingly adept and fun little cars regardless of what powers their wheels (Hyundai + hybrid = fun really blew me away). I would drive that Lexus LS F Sport over the BMW 5 Series any day of the week, which seems like a shocking thing to say in relation to either car. While Lexus is seemingly breaking out of its old crusty mold, BMW seems to be climbing into one.

MT digs deep, learns more about hot Lexus RC coupe

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

As we patiently wait for the all-new Lexus RC to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, Motor Trend has dug up some tasty info on the Japanese automaker's new coupe for us to discuss. While we already knew some speculative, but credible, details on the upcoming two-door Lexus, MT reportedly has the dish on some details of the hotter RC F coupe (shown in the spy shots above).
The article says that the F will carry a six-figure MSRP and use a 455-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with cylinder deactivation, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Carbon fiber body components will help reduce curb weight, and the scooped hood is said to optimize aerodynamics as the car will reach a top speed of around 186 miles per hour. Specific high-speed handling improvements include specially developed Brembo brakes, a beefed-up suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and an automatic decklid spoiler.
As for other RC models, MT mentions the hybrid and V6 variants we already heard about, but it also says that the car could get a 2.0-liter turbo engine. This will probably be the engine used in the base model, which is expected to start at around $40,000. Head on over to Motor Trend for the full article, including a rendered image of the RC F.
