L@@k Lexus Gs300 !!!!!!one Owner!!!!! on 2040-cars
Bronxville, New York, United States
I bought this car brand new at Lexus of Manhattan in 1998 and had years of trouble free ownership. Car was used for commute between Westchester and my work in Manhattan and basically was garaged all the time. Service was done on time at Lexus of Manhattan so expect this car to run 100%, everything works fine. I bought new GS350 6 month ago and planned to keep this one as a secondary car but it looks like more space in the garage is more impotent at this point, well at least for my wife ... Pros: Full tune up done this month including new spark plugs, new spark wires, air filter, fuel filter, injector cleaned, all the rest of the systems were checked, minor leak in exhaust fixed. Car from good home All stock, no mods All electrical components work as they should All service was done on time including timing belt change, new water pump and thermostat, periodic cooling system flush, tranny lube change, engine oil change Newer tires and battery Car comes with original remote key, secondary key and master key just like I got it brand new Original manual included Cons; Pls see on the pictures there's a scratch on the front bumper and dime size dent on the top part of rear fender Leather interior shows it's age especially the armrest Keep in mind that even though this car is in great condition with low miles it's still a used 1998 car and it will never be new again I'm located in Bronxville NY zip 10708, my # 646-430-4153 please feel free to call for a test drive |

Lexus RC media event in Japan canceled over lack of interest
Fri, 07 Nov 2014It's a good thing senior editor Seyth Miersma doesn't live in Japan, or he wouldn't have been able to snap a photo like the one you see here, of a fresh-off-the-line Lexus RC F on hand at a first drive for media. That's because Toyota's Japanese arm has outright canceled its RC press launch. Sure, we've heard about events being delayed, but canceled? That's rare. Even worse is the reason: according to Automotive News, the event was nixed due to lack of interest. Wow.
In an email to media, Lexus said the event "has been canceled due to insufficient attendance," according to AN. The News posits that perhaps it would have just been better to hold the event anyway, in an attempt to save face, and that this is another example of the Japanese culture (especially youth) becoming less and less interested in cars. Of course, there's also the thought that local media just didn't want to drive out to Yokohama to drive the RC on a not-so-sexy press launch, which, if you ask us, is an incredibly lame excuse (do your jobs, folks!).
Either way, will this bode well for the Lexus RC's public launch? Will it receive the same lukewarm response when it arrives at Japanese dealers? We'll see.
Production Lexus NX leaked in Jim Lentz presentation?
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Before kicking off the Detroit Auto Show, the Society of Automotive Analysts had Toyota CEO Jim Lentz come on stage to say some words about the future of the auto industry, as well as what's coming for Toyota. While this type of information would normally stay off our radar, a video of his speech likely gives us our first look - albeit low-res - at the production version of the Lexus NX compact crossover.
In the video recorded by AmericaJR, Lentz refers to the turbocharged LF-NX Concept that was on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, but comparing this image to our gallery from Tokyo, there are clear differences between the two vehicles. These include the toned-down shape of the spindle grille, lower fascia crease and door mirrors as well as a headlight design that more closely resembles that of the 2014 IS sedan and the newly introduced RC coupe. From what we can see of the rest of this image, the NX should retain some of the LF-NX's angular side body creases. The vehicle you see above basically looks ready for production.
If this is in fact the NX, then reports of a Geneva debut for the luxury crossover seem even more accurate. The entire video is posted below, but the NX comes on screen around the 10:40 mark.
Lexus bringing next-gen IS to Detroit
Tue, 04 Dec 2012With ES, GS and LS models all now minty fresh at your local Lexus showroom, it was only a matter of time before we had official word that the company's IS had a replacement in the wings. That word has come down today in an ultra brief press release that names the date and venue that the sheet will be pulled on the new car: January 15th in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show.
Don't pay too much attention to the test mule in these dusty spy shots, we're told that the small Lexus has been "completely redesigned" from the inside out and that it has drawn inspiration from the sultry LF-CC concept car. In LA we learned that the LF-CC has been green-lit for production, so we'd expect to see a lot of cues from that car (in the gallery below) lifted directly for the all-new IS. New fang-face, here we come.
While a coupe and a convertible version of the next IS are undoubtedly in the cards, too, we'd guess that the sedan will be first to go on stage at Detroit next month.
