Up for sale is my excellent condition 2004 Range Rover HSE. It’s been a wonderful car in the five years that I've owned it;it has been very reliable and it’s tight as a drum. The exterior paint is in excellent condition, has a beautiful shine. There are no paint flaws I can see anywhere.The interior is also in excellent condition. The rear and passenger’s seats were almost never used. The motor is strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car looks much younger than it's age. This car was maintained by Reeves Range Rover of Tampa and by a certified Range Rover technician. Oil changes and all maintenance were done on time or before. I cared for this car well and kept it clean. Very recently, ranging from about 2,000 miles to about 50 miles ago, I installed these new parts: - new water pump (very recent) - new battery (very recent) - new fuel pump (very recent) - new spark plugs - new coils - new alternator (very recent) - new starter (very recent) - new plastic pillar trim The only flaw it has is the tiny few dings on the driver side front fender. This can be taken out with some paintless dent removal. This car needs nothing; it is ready to go anywhere. Some people will might be a little concerned because the rebuilt title, but I have owned this vehicle for 5 years and it has been rock solid. The car has no structural damage. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have about the car. I would be glad to answer them. I would keep this car for another 5 years, but I need to downsize and buy something smaller. Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
Jaguar Land Rover opens winter testing facility in Minnesota
Wed, 12 Dec 2012As it begins the rollout of the all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ and XF models, Jaguar Land Rover has just announced that it has opened a new facility in northern Minnesota for winter testing. Located in International Falls, MN (on the US and Canadian border), the British automaker says it is one of the coldest locations in the Continental US. Jaguar's new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system was developed primarily to help sell more cars in the northern US, so it only makes sense to open a testing area in the US as well.
With temperatures that can drop to minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit, International Falls was chosen to mimic some of the worst weather a Jaguar or Land Rover will ever see. The grounds house testing chambers, various road surfaces and even a frozen lake. This new facility complements the hot-weather testing grounds in Phoenix, AZ.
