Selling what was the wife's daily driver. Used mainly in the winter for the all wheel drive and ability to go through almost anything. Owned for 5 years and driven about 6,000 miles per year. Nice solid car with no accidents. This is not a garage queen so it does have the door dings and scratches that do not show up in the pictures.
Starts the first time every time even when it was -30 degrees below zero. I have replaced parts as needed. I recently changed oil, air filter, spark plugs. and new spark plug wires. Have a new gas filler cover latch, some upper bumper cover clips, and LHR door seal on order from Rover North. The tires are older even though they still have tread left. Has plenty of power and shifts very smooth. Stops straight with no noise or vibration. No rust - it originally came from Florida and in Montana we do not use salt on the roads. All the glass is good. All the power options work: Windows, doors, both sun roof vents, heated seats, cruise control, A/C, and heat.
What it may need: 1). Nearest certified Land Rover Dealer is over 500 miles away. I have never done a full tune up just replaced plugs, spark plug wires, and regular oil changes. 2). Tires 3). Slight droop in part of the headliner (see pictures). Never bothered us enough to fix. 4). Heater blower motor has intermittent noise at low speeds. Have replacement motor that goes with the car. 5). Key fob just quite operating keyless entry. Have not gotten a new battery yet. 6). Slight stick in driver door handle if you open with the left hand. No problem if you use the right hand - go figure.
The vehicle is being sold with no expressed or implied warranty. I am more than willing to take some place in Billings, MT to have inspected at your expense. Please call or respond for any questions. Mark 406-245-6360 The auction starts at $ 5,000.00 (Trade In).
Buyer is reponsible for shipping.
Thanks for looking.

Jaguar to offer high-performance SVR models like Land Rover?
Tue, 01 Jul 2014At the Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend, Land Rover previewed its upcoming performance version of the Range Rover Sport. Only instead of wearing the R-S badge that adorns the most hardcore of Jaguar models, the performance SUV from JLR's Special Operations unit introduced the letters SVR. And now, it seems that badge is here to stay.
Following the Range Rover Sport SVR, a new report from Motor Authority now says that Jaguar Land Rover will use those letters to distinguish the top-of-the-line performance models from both marques moving forward. As such, we might expect SVR models of the upcoming Jaguar XE compact sedan and Land Rover Discovery Sport, as well as potential new performance models based on the new F-Type and next-generation XF.
If accurate, the move would seem to separate Jaguar in particular from the R-S badge that has adorned performance models like the XFR-S and XKR-S. Both Audi and Porsche use the letters RS to distinguish its most hardcore models as well (e.g. Audi RS7 Sportback and Porsche 911 GT3 RS). Whether the similarity was a factor in shifting to the SVR moniker, we don't know, but either way, we welcome the arrival of a new generation of Jaguar and Land Rover performance models - especially if they pack the 575-horsepower version of the company's ubiquitous 5.0-liter supercharged V8. Not incidentally, that delicious powerplant gained a couple of new engine bays to call home at Goodwood as well - it's not just found in the forthcoming Range Rover Sport SVR, it's found a home in the F-Type Project 7, too.
Going high-tech, the 4x4 way
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
Jaguar Land Rover opens first overseas factory in China
Wed, 22 Oct 2014Anyone who's a car fan knows that Jaguar and Land Rover cars and trucks all come from the UK. And while we don't doubt that will remain true for the most part, it won't be an absolute truth for long, as the British automaker has just opened its first factory overseas.
Its new plant in Changshu, China, is the result of a $1.8-billion joint venture between JLR and local automaker Chery. It covers some 4.3-million square feet and will, once at peak capacity, produce 130,000 units specifically for the Chinese market, where JLR sells over 100,000 vehicles each year to make it the company's single largest market worldwide.
Production at what's officially known as the Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company will start with the Evoque, of which one in five globally are currently sold in China. Production will eventually encompass three models. We already know that the Discovery Sport will be next, but the third model line has yet to be announced. JLR has confirmed, however, that the Changshu plant will produce unique models and derivatives specifically for the Chinese market, so we wouldn't be surprised to see a long-wheelbase version of the forthcoming XE or next-generation XF assembled there to satisfy local tastes.
