This defender is very clean and has a new paint job, full size roof rack with super bright LED bar installed. The interior has all been professionally retrimmed to a high standard and is actually very comfortable unlike many defenders. Before the defender got shipped from the UK  I had my Land rover mechanic complete the following work,

Engine  
1. Oil and filter
2. Engine mounts
3. replacement fuel pump,
4. Dist Cap and arm,
5. leads and plugs,
6. Drive belts,
7. Condenser


Body,
1. Complete respray in white,
2. new A frame bushings
3. Diff, transfer box, gearbox, serviced, and replacement oil.

The Engine

The 2.5 4 cylinder gas engine is a very underrated engine, I have personally driven this vehicle up to speeds of 75mph with no problems at all. When we got the vehicle we sourced a replacement engine and replaced it with the original type, this new engine came from a vehicle that had around 75k on it, while the engine was out a new carb was fitted and all soft parts were replaced on it. It will start first time on the key every time.

The Transmission

It has the standard LT77 transmission for defender, it shifts between all gears no problems without any noises or rattles etc, the 4low and diff locks work on the transfer case as they should.

The Body

The body on these defenders is aluminum so they don't rust, they normally start to flake the paint. This won't be an issue on this defender as it has had a full respray and looks stunning in white. the bulkhead and door bottoms are all in very good condition and very solid. This defender is fitted with a couple of extras which makes it unique, it has the full length metal roof rack, and a LED light bar that turns night into daylight! It also has a snorkel fitted should you wish to go wading in water.

The Chassis

The chassis is the original chassis and in very good condition, both it's vin tags are still clearly visible and untouched, it's been coated in a rust stop coating to prolong it's life. The VIN number is SALLDHMD7AA267116 Below I had decoded it so you can see it's an original vehicle.

The Interior

The interior of this vehicle is very good, all the floors have been coated in a Linex type material that's extremely durable and hard wearing, you could hose it out if you wanted to. The seats and door cards have been retrimmed to a high standard in very nice material. There is a CD player.

Weekly Recap: Chrysler forges ahead with new name, same mission

Chrysler is history. Sort of. The 89-year-old automaker was absorbed into the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles conglomerate that officially launched this fall, and now the local operations will no longer use the Chrysler Group name. Instead, it's FCA US LLC. Catchy, eh? Here's what it means: The sign outside Chrysler's Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters says FCA (which it already did) and obviously, all official documents use the new name, rather than Chrysler. That's about it. The executives, brands and location of the headquarters aren't changing. You'll still be able to buy a Chrysler 200. It's just made by FCA US LLC. This reinforces that FCA is one company going forward – the seventh largest automaker in the world – not a Fiat-Chrysler dual kingdom. While the move is symbolic, it is a conflicting moment for Detroiters, though nothing is really changing. Chrysler has been owned by someone else (Daimler, Cerberus) for the better part of two decades, but it still seemed like it was Chrysler in the traditional sense: A Big 3 automaker in Detroit. Now, it's clearly the US division of a multinational industrial empire; that's good thing for its future stability, but bittersweet nonetheless. Undoubtedly, it's an emotion that's also being felt at Fiat's Turin, Italy, headquarters as the company will no longer officially be called Fiat there. Digest that for a moment. What began in 1899 as the Societa Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino – or FIAT – is now FCA Italy SpA. In a statement, FCA said the move "is intended to emphasize the fact that all group companies worldwide are part of a single organization." The new names are the latest changes orchestrated by CEO Sergio Marchionne, who continues to makeover FCA as an international automaker that has ties to its heritage – but isn't tied down by it. Everything from the planned spinoff of Ferrari, a new FCA headquarters in London and the pending demise of the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2016 has shown that the company is willing to move quickly, even if it's controversial. While renaming the United States and Italian divisions were the moves most likely to spur controversy, FCA said other regions across the globe will undergo similar name changes this year. Despite the mixed emotions, it's worth noting: The name of the merged company that oversees all of these far-flung units is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Obviously the Chrysler corporate name isn't completely history.

Jaguar Land Rover signs manufacturing contract with Magna Steyr

Jaguar Land Rover is in the midst of implementing big plans. Those include a raft of new models, and a series of new manufacturing facilities to build them. It seems, however, that the former is outpacing the latter, as the British automaker has just announced a new manufacturing contract to have some of its vehicles built off-site. The latest deal is with Magna Steyr, the contract manufacturer based in Graz, Austria. That could see a Land Rover produced at the same facility that has handled the Mercedes G-Class since 1979, or a Jaguar at the same place that assembled the Aston Martin Rapide until 2012 when production was moved back to the UK. The big question at this point is just what JLR will choose to have Magna build on its behalf. The British automaker isn't saying at this point, but a spokesman confirmed to Autoblog that it will be a future product – not an existing line moved from its current production site to the contract manufacturer, as Mercedes recently did with the R-Class. A timeline wasn't announced at this early stage, either, but we're told it will take about 24 months before new Jaguars or Land Rovers start rolling out of the plant in Austria. Just what those new vehicles will be remains to be seen, but Jaguar Land Rover has a number of new products on their way. It is expected to reveal in the near future a new Defender, a replacement for the current LR4/Discovery, the new Evoque convertible, a new XJ flagship sedan, and possibly a new coupe and convertible to take the place of the old XK. We'll soon see the new Jaguar F-Pace, which may be followed by additional crossovers as well. The company also recently introduced the new XE, XF, and Discovery Sport models, though given the timeframes, they'll almost certainly be produced at JLR's existing facilities. It recently opened its first overseas plant in China, has another one under construction in Brazil, and is also said to be considering a plant in North America on either side of the US-Mexican border.
