Must Sell! Just lowered the price again. Let's talk! Oil service just completed(4/2013) at Lamborghini Boston. She's ready for summer!
2008 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
Up for sale is my personally owned Lamborghini Murcielago LP640! Was a dream to own one of these cars since I was a little boy, and I finally got one! To say the least, the car is everything that I could ever imagine, and more. Beautiful lines, race-car like steering, and unbelievable power! Truly a dream come true. However, work calls, and now after a very short time of ownership, I have to sell her. After spending years of researching these vehicles, and about a year and a half of ownership(and 2000 miles behind the wheel), I have to sell her off. I am the second owner of the car, previously owned by an older professional gentleman in California who purchased the car from O'gara Coach Works new in 2008(dealer information regarding the car is available, however, you must contact me first). Just prior to making this purchase of a lifetime in August of 2011, the car went through the Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned extensive inspection and the warranty was extended for another two years!(a huge purchasing point for me, and now a huge selling point as well. This is nearly a $10k investment and can give you peace of mind that Lamborghini will stand behind their workmanship for another two years; ending this summer though.) This is something that "must" be considered in price comparison with other vehicles, seeing most other cars of this vintage do not have a warranty.
Other details about the car are pretty straight forward. The exterior color is Grigio Telesto, the interior is black with yellow stitching. The floor mats are nice custom $1200 units that can easily be removed. Radio is stock and includes all the features you can imagine; however, I never listen to the radio seeing the sound of the engine is a bit more appealing to me. Engine and drive-train maintenance was just performed 2000 miles ago, and the oil and filter were changed last week, so you have plenty of time before it needs to make a visit to the shop. Tires have a lot of life left and rims are all in perfect condition. Bottom line is the car is simply awesome! Still has the new car smell, and is flawless! I personally appreciate craftsmanship, and this car more than impresses me! And if you want looks, you get more looks from passer-by's than you can imagine. Please feel free to contact me via email and if you would like to discuss the details of the car over the phone I will openly share my phone number, just please a serious potential buyer.
Thank you,
Chris

Lamborghini downshifts toward record sales
Sun, Sep 13 2015Reuters reports that the Lamborghini Huracan is doing exactly what it was intended to do for the brand: increase sales. The company set yearly sales records up to and including the first full year of the global financial collapse, moving 2,430 units of the Murcielago and Gallardo in 2008. But even 1,144 combined horsepower couldn't keep that momentum going, and by 2010 that had dropped to 1,302 sales worldwide. Retail success returned with the markets and buyers who deemed it finally safe to be seen in a brand-new six-figure car. Last year, the company set a sales record of 2,530 units, a 19-percent increase over 2014. In an interview with Reuters, company CEO Stephan Winklemann said that Lamborghini should break that number this month. The momentum is coming from the US and Asia, specifically Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Sales in mainland China are "broadly flat," but that has to be considered success when other much less spendy carmakers are hurting something awful in the People's Republic, and luxury makers have returned their primary attentions to the US. Next year could be even better, with the Huracan Spyder going on sale in the spring. Two years after that, the brand plans to double its current sales with the arrival of its supersport crossover, which has a target of "about 3,000" per year. Related Video:
Ukrainian man turns Eclipse into quasi-Reventon
Sun, 09 Sep 2012The Mitsubishi Eclipse may very well be the Pontiac Fiero of our time. Whereas the old Poncho formerly served as the go-to platform for every Ferrari and Lamborghini replica gone awry, the Eclipse seems to have usurped that crown in the modern age. Need an example? Look no further than this crafty Eclipse owner from Ukraine recently uncovered by our friends at EnglishRussia.com. Using nothing but some very impressive fabrication skills, some sheet metal and his ingenuity, the guy turned his budget Japanese cruiser into an homage to the Lamborghini Reventon.
Sure, the proportions are a little off. And yes, the front end looks a bit wonky, but the finished product is better than we could manage. Besides, this project turned out far cleaner than other Lamborghini tributes we've seen. You can head over to EnglishRussia.com for a closer look at the build process. You'll be amazed.
In some Italian cities, even fast cars can no longer go fast
Mon, Feb 12 2024There’s so much to love about Italy: spaghetti carbonara, Ferraris, tiramisu, Michelangelo, high speed limitsÂ…. Wait. About those speed limits. In Bologna, a town with enormous character and exceptional cuisine, the city fathers only last month imposed a speed limit in the town of 30 kilometers per hour — about 20 mph — to make it safer and “more livable.” Critics of the measure are not contento. According to a recent story in The New York Times, drivers there argue that Bologna is “slowing to a standstill since it became the first major Italian city” to join a growing group of European municipalities that in the past few years have adjusted speed limits downward by half. The new rules, in place in Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen and cities across Spain, mark an effort to cut pollution, reduce energy use, and disincentivize car use. As reported by the Times, BolognaÂ’s mayor, Matteo Lepore, included the new speed limit among the campaign promises that helped to get him elected in 2021. Referring to the lower limit, he said, “Driving at 30 is part of a vision of a more democratic and more sustainable use of public space,” where neighborhoods put children and older people first, and investments favor bike paths and public transportation to work toward carbon neutrality. Adding fuel to the smolder, Bologna is the capital of a region that is home to Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. The action in Italy has spurred protests, and petitions from some commuters that their daily travels to and from the city have grown substantially longer. And recently, the Times reported, a gathering attracted dozens of cranky citizens and cabbies to the streets, where they drove at a snailÂ’s pace in a makeshift parade, loudly honking horns and snarling traffic. The new speed limit “is impossible” to drive at, said Giorgio Gorza, who heads a citizenÂ’s group. “ItÂ’s like standing still, and no one takes a car if youÂ’re going to stay still, if it takes longer than walking. ItÂ’s illogical.” In 2021, according to the story, Olbia, in Sardinia, became the first Italian city to set a broad limit of 30 klicks an hour.
