Yes price is correct....I want a quick and easy sell.....took the price down to eliminate low balling. The car is being advertised in vertical interest forums on-line, as well as in print. Therefore, it is subject to prior sale. It is offered in an 'as is/where is' fashion.  I'm looking for the right person to take on custodianship of this beautiful car. Don't need dealers, brokers, or time wasting tire kickers. (Saying it bluntly.) If we strike the deal, it's expected to transpire sooner than later. Don't need any stories, and don't want partial trades either. I'm selling my car- straight up and cleanly. I expect legit buyers in return. You want it, my pricing is very fair and well within current market trending. It's a lot of car, and in fine form- as you can see. Additional details to share: The car is located approximately 120 miles from a major West coast  (US) seaport (POE.) The city where it resides is serviced by a regional airport, easy flight in and drive it home. A PPI can be arranged, contact me directly to work out the details (but, as you can see, this car has been very well cared for and attended to properly.) While it does not carry any warranty; either written, expressed nor implied- it would be found in good to excellent condition by any serious  enthusiast or expert. I have no compunction about legitimate buyers/representatives seeing the car for a 'hands on' survey- but I don't give 'joy rides' either.  This is my baby, and someone (soon) is going to inherit it- to enjoy it for the next 10 years (or more.) In the event the payment is received in good order (to my ultimate satisfaction), I will gladly aide and assist in ushering it to the new owner. This is a THRESHOLD SALE; which means the car is paid for IN FULL before it leaves my garage. The Buyer arranges for transport, informs me about the specifics of same, and I'll meet the truck, tow vehicle or Freight Forwarder -on their schedule- to take possession of your Lamborghini I can and will bring the Lp640 to a nearby convenient location for loading onto an enclosed trailer which will haul it to the Buyer. I'm as concerned about it being passed on in the excellent condition I've kept it in, as you are about breaking an ear to ear grin when you finally see it in person! (This is 147 of 148 made in the world . (The wheels on car are currently being painted gloss black-I wanted a newer look and so I am disclosing this now!) For foreign buyers; Transport of the car from my place to the nearby POE (Southern,California) will be at their expense. *Read above detail about my willingness to aide and assist in the process. All purchase funds will be 'in hand' by me (as stated) before it gets handed off to any carrier (proper documentation signed and presented at the point presentation to carrier.) I'd suggest using your own Freight Forwarder (in country) and have them establish contact with a Freight Forwarder to handle the pickup and outbound shipping. It would be best to have the car shipped ocean freight in a container.  It is the least expensive and most secure way to move a vehicle of this caliber. RORO (roll on/roll off) is the cheapest, actually- but there's no good to come from pinching pennies on a purchase like this, exposing a high-performance machine to dock & deck hand ravages.  Protect your investment! BOTTOM LINE: •It's a gorgeous car. Low miles, lots of proper upgrades. •A great driving Lp640 with top down excitement- just can't be beat! •Pricing is right (and you know market trending already.) •Smooth and easy transaction is the goal. •Contact me to discuss details. THANKS! Contact me at 858-254-9639

Lamborghini to show Gallardo replacement concept in Frankfurt

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Lamborghini will give us a big clue as to the look and feel of the impending replacement for its Gallardo model at this September's Frankfurt Motor Show. According to a report by Autocar, the Italian supercar maker will have a concept car in Frankfurt that will preview a 2015 replacement for the current Gallardo (pictured above).
While nothing is set in stone, the word is that Lamborghini is still considering "Cabrera" as the Gallardo-successor's name. We didn't know the company had so many Tigers fans, but the Autoblog Detroit office is stoked.
The same report tells us that the new Lamborghini, currently going by the internal designation LP724, will be based on the same platform as the second-generation Audi R8, rather than on the more exotic Aventador underpinnings. That means a modular spaceframe, aluminum and carbon fiber construction and a reduction in curb weight as a result - the target is less than 3,300 pounds. Even with the diet, the next Gallardo will be slightly longer than the current car, but about the same height and width.

This incredible life-size Lamborghini Aventador is made out of paper

Sun, 08 Sep 2013

We've all screwed around with the cutting and folding fun that results from paper model making over here at the Autoblog Craft Workshop (not a real thing), but we've yet to dive into a project with real scale. Thankfully, dedicated hobbyists the world over are taking care of the heavy lifting for us on this front.
Years back we brought you images of an Epson team mid-build with a full-scale Honda NSX racecar, and that project might still be the granddaddy of the genre (though this Audi A7 and this Bugatti Veyron are pretty good, too). But the Lamborghini Aventador police interceptor model seen here, measuring eight-feet long, is right up there. Gaming fans will recognize the Need For Speed inspiration for the wood pulp Lambo, and after watching the fast-motion video of the entire build process we should all be able to recognize the hard work that went into the car's completion.
Taras Lesko is the designer behind this mammoth paper project; you can read a bit of detail about what went into the build on his website, or you can scroll down to watch it for yourself.

Wild one-off Lamborghini Sogna for sale at $3M [w/videos]

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

The Lamborghini Countach was the dream car for many teens and pre-teens in the 1980s, but at least one Japanese man thought there was room for improvement. As the story goes, Ryoji Yamazaki had a dream of a supercar as a 13-year-old, and at the age of 41, he used his design studio, Art & Tech, to create the Sogna in 1991.
Yamazaki unveiled the Sogna at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show as a rebodied Countach with intentions of selling it in limited production, but thankfully - or sadly, depending how you look at it - the $1.6 million (1991 price) coachbuilt supercar never made it into production. The Geneva show car was a rolling chassis, and the only other example that was produced was a fully operational version, shown above, which was unveiled at the 1994 Essen Motor Show. This car from Essen is now listed for sale on James Edition for 2.38 million euros, or around $3.25 million USD.
With its oddball styling and kiwi green paint, the Sogna was likely doomed from the start, but it still boasts the Countach's full powertrain including the 448-horsepower, 5.2-liter V12 and a claimed top speed of 186 miles per hour. Check out more images of the 1994 Sogna at James Edition and Enmann, and we also found a couple videos, which are posted below, of the car's early development.
