Watch teen thieves crash two stolen Lamborghini Urus SUVs
Wed, Feb 19 2020According to Boston 25 News, a group of suspects reportedly stole two Lamborghini Urus SUVs and a Chevrolet Cruze sedan from Herb Chambers Lamborghini outside of Boston, Massachusetts, this week. The joyrides ended when the Uruses were involved in a three-vehicle rear-end accident. At roughly 3 a.m. on February 17, 2020, burglars triggered the alarm at the Lambo dealership by throwing a sizeable rock through the showroom glass to get inside. Once they had access to the dealership's inventory, the suspects grabbed the keys and drove three vehicles right off the lot, no issues. But where there's an alarm, there are police, and the suspects were quickly spotted. When the cop moved to pull the vehicles over, only the Cruze stopped, while the powerful Uruses pulled away. The two people inside the Cruze were taken into custody. Hours later, reports placed the twin-turbo V8 Lamborghinis in the nearby city of Malden, north of Boston. An officer began to follow the SUVs, which were driving around town at high speeds. Instead of getting away this time, a black Urus ran straight into the rear of a red Kia Soul, whose occupant was taken to a hospital to treat injuries. Following too closely behind his friend, the driver of the white Urus hit the rear of the black Urus. Both drivers attempted to run away, and one was able to escape. The other was taken into custody. For more information on the suspects or the locations, head over to Boston 25. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Lamborghini Centenario to grace the cover of next Forza game
Mon, Mar 21 2016The creatives at Turn 10 Studios must have had a heck of a time choosing which new supercar would feature on the cover of the next installment in the Forza franchise. We saw an unsurpassed array of exotic machinery, after all, unveiled last month alone at the Geneva Motor Show, but in the end it's the Lamborghini Centenario that got the nod. The exclusive supercar marks the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth, and stands as "the most powerful Lamborghini produced to date," in the words of the company's own R&D chief Maurizio Reggiani. Unfortunately only 40 examples will ever be made – 20 coupes and 20 convertibles – and they've all been sold for the equivalent of nearly $2 million apiece. It will hit the small screen in the next Forza game before any of those extremely fortunate customers have theirs delivered in real life. Microsoft will reveal the new game at E3 in June, but for now we don't even know what it will be called. Forza Motorsport 7? Forza Horizon 3? Something else entirely? We'll have to wait to find out, but the Centenario will definitely be on the cover. This won't be the first time that a Lamborghini has graced the cover of a Forza game. The Huracan appeared on the cover of Forza Horizon 2. Previous cover cars have included the Ford GT, McLaren P1, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 458 Italia, and Audi R8. That'll make the Raging Bull marque, by our account, the only to be featured twice in the series. Sant'Agata Bolognese, 04 March 2016 : The Lamborghini Centenario will feature on the front cover and within the next Forza racing game on Xbox. Lamborghini and Microsoft's Turn 10 Studios announced their latest collaboration at Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, with the new Xbox game to be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2016. The Centenario will be available "First in Forza," giving millions of fans around the world the exclusive opportunity to experience the virtual version of the car on Xbox before its road debut. Thus, players will be the first to enjoy the aspects of the car celebrating the 100 year anniversary of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth, starting from the naturally aspirated V12 Centenario which produces 770 hp and powers from 0100 km/h in 2.8 seconds ( 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds) with a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
10 thoughts about the (wild) Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato
Fri, Jul 12 2024Is that the Sterrato? A guy in an old Honda CR-V leans out his window and clearly has more questions. "That’s right," I reply. I hit the gas, let the V10 snarl for a beat and round the corner. This guy didnÂ’t really want to chit-chat. He wanted the show and I gave it to him. After each spending a day with the off-road themed 2023 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, I have many thoughts and could ramble for days. Not surprisingly, so could News Editor Joel Stocksdale and Senior Editor John Beltz Snyder, who also took turns. Somehow, we managed to whittled our collective thoughts down to 10. ThereÂ’s a lot to unpack Â… ItÂ’s a V10-powered Huracan with 602 horsepower, a seven-speed dual-clutch, gobs of carbon-fiber and the familiar wedge-shaped design. The Sterrato then features fender flares, off-road lights, a roof rack, 19-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Dueler rubber, a crazy air intake on the roof and a carbon-fiber engine cover. ItÂ’s lifted 1.73 inches and has skid plates. Basically, Lambo decided to build an insane off-roader to send the Huracan out with a mic drop. Mission accomplished. The Sterrato is the ultimate flex Lambo is building just 1,499 of them, or rather, built them. TheyÂ’re long gone. All spoken for. You would buy this car if you are already loaded, have loaded friends, and want something different. For example, the hedge-fund bros can get on the list for the Huracan. The CEO works connections to get the Sterrato. Or, if you prefer your analogies to come from the sports world, the punter can cobble together enough cash for a Lambo. The quarterback gets the Sterrato. With options, this supercar cost $384,394, more than 100 grand above a comparable 2023 Huracan Technica. We chat about this on a recent episode of the Autoblog Podcast. Driving is better and worse than you might imagine ItÂ’s a visceral experience with the V10 growing behind your ears, though when cruising around town, itÂ’s not as crazy-loud as you might think. Pin the throttle, and that changes. YouÂ’re also lower to the ground than youÂ’d expect. Yes, itÂ’s lifted compared to your typical Lambo, but it still feels low-slung. Conversely, the Porsche 911 Dakar I tested a few weeks ago actually felt elevated and set up for off-roading. While we couldnÂ’t take the Sterrato off-road (the press loan prohibited us and other media outlets from doing so), itÂ’s clearly capable.
