This car does everything a Lambo should, it pins you to your seat, it stops on a dime, it handles like it's on rails and it gets more attention than any Exotic I have ever driven, and that includes other Lamborghinis, probably that paint that practically glows. Only 1 built, special for the man himself, Mario Andretti. This well cared for Diablo was Monterrey Edition (20) made, #3. The number 3 car was specially built for Mario Andretti to lead the Running of the Bulls to Pebble Beach. This is a 1 of 1 car. It had performance modifications from the factory to ensure Mario stayed in the lead including timing changes, custome headers, custome TUBI exhaust and intake porting. This car is: One of 20 Monterrey editions. One of One built for Mario Andretti. A rare SV. The only original Rosso Targa car in existence, this is a 3 stage paint job that changes from red to purple depending on the light. The only car to come with 3 piece chrome Kinesis wheels factory. The only car with factory headers, modified intake and modified factory exhaust as per Mario Andretti. Please read the link above with more information on this car. Previous owner had clutch, engine overhaul and brakes done at the now defunct Lamborghini of Orange County, once the largest Lamborghini dealership in the United States. She shows 70,xxx KILOMETERS, thats about 43,744 miles. Everything works. One of the photos is of Mr. Andretti pulling up at Pebble Beach after the Running of the Bulls. The car was purchased after the Running of the Bulls by "Lotto Jim", a man who won the California lottery that year. It was then part of a collection of a software engineer in CA. He traded it for a Murcialago at Lamborghini of Orange County. I purchased it, I can no longer drive a stick shift due to a leg injury, so she must go. She is a fantastic running car. No wrecks. Do you want a cheap amphibious Lamborghini Countach?
Fri, Apr 8 2016James Bond famously dove under the waves in a Lotus Esprit submarine in The Spy Who Loved Me. Elon Musk now has the car in his collection, but you can have the next best thing by buying this amphibious Lamborghini Countach. It needs a lot of work to be seaworthy or even roadworthy again, but the floating Italian supercar is currently on eBay Motors in the UK for the equivalent of $26,790. While the vehicle looks like a Countach, don't expect to listen to a sonorous Italian V12 on the open seas because power now comes from a Rover V8. In the water, a twin-prop drive runs from a power takeoff on the engine, and twin rudders allow for navigation. Hydraulics lift wheels when it's time to get wet. For wannabe Bonds, there's even a button inside to activate a smoke screen. Some digging online shows that Mike Ryan of SeaRoader originally built the water-going Countach. Both the eBay ad and Ryan's page assert the supercar briefly went to Hollywood for various roles, but the Internet Movie Car Database only shows the Lambo appearing briefly in Top Gear's Season 8 amphibious cars episode. Ryan also helped the guys build their own floating vehicles. Get ready for some hard work before setting sail. According to the listing, the carpets and seats are gone. The engine still turns, but the fuel pipe that goes to the tank needs replaced. It also requires new tires and brake work. If you're up to the challenge, this could be an amazing project. The Lamborghini Trumpventador is gonna be huge
Tue, May 10 2016Some voters may choose to declare their support for their favorite candidate with bumper stickers, while others keep their preferences more private (or at least off of the surface of their cars). And then there's this Lamborghini Aventador. No matter how you feel about the 2016 election, can we all agree that a candidate-themed car is a bad idea? This (hopefully) one-of-a-kind Lambo began as a 691-horsepower Aventador. It now features a special wrap prepared by the folks at Superior Auto Design and emblazoned with Donald Trump's likeness and slogans. Star-spangled in red, white, and blue, this Aventador features The Donald's face on the nose and phrases like "you're fired!", "Trump Train" and "Make American GR8 Again!" all over the bodywork. Now if it strikes you as a little odd declaring one's support for Trump on a Lamborghini and not, say, a Jeep Wrangler, you may not be alone. The GOP front-runner has, railed against manufacturing automobiles abroad and repeatedly lambasted Ford for its factories in Mexico. Lamborghinis are, of course, built in Italy. But then again, Trump has owned at least one Lambo himself over the years. The Trumpventador is slated to take part in the 2016 Gold Rush Rally that's scheduled to leave Boston on May 13 and end in LA on the 21st, with stops in Washington, Charlotte, Nashville, Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas in between. So keep your eyes open if you're in one of those cities and want to catch a glimpse, or keep 'em shut if you don't. Related Video:

Mon, Nov 8 2021It's not news that the number of cars available with a manual transmission has dwindled, and a big reason for that is people just aren't learning how to drive them. Still, it's a worthwhile skill to pick up. Our number one reason would be because it's fun, but you never know when you might to need to do it in a pinch. Perhaps you'll have to drive a friend's old stick-shift car in an emergency, or maybe it's just a really cool car and they're giving you the chance to try it out. Or in the case of this Saturday Night Live sketch, maybe you're trying to steal a vintage Lamborghini. Yes, in the sketch titled "Car Heist," the stereotypical, "Gone in 60 Seconds"-style Hollywood break-in goes terribly awry when the wheelman is completely confounded by the three pedals and gated shifter of the target Lamborghini Diablo. And with two minutes to leave before the doors close again, his backer's attempts to teach him over the radio go about as well as you could expect, as he has to get his head around using both feet and having to learn what a clutch is. It's a situation that anyone that's learned to use a manual or has helped teach others to will find fun. I had an internship with Hagerty Insurance several years ago, and I helped with their program teaching young drivers how to drive stick with vintage and enthusiast cars. If I only had two minutes to teach someone to drive, and had to do it over the phone, I think things would've gone about as well. So give it a watch and have a little laugh.
