2011 Kia Sportage Ex Sport Utility 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars

US $18,499.00
Year:2011 Mileage:43627
Location:

This vehicle was purchased new on 4/16/2011 from Kia of Gastonia. The MSRP was $28,490 and after the dealer add-ons the total asking price was $31,178.93. This vehicle is loaded. It has both optional packages offered. The $1500.00 Navigation w/Premium Audio package and the $3000.00 Premium Package w/Leather. These packages add navigation, Sirius radio w/traffic, Reverse camera display, leather seats, heated and cooled seats, push button start w/smart key, homelink, cargo cover, pano roof, back up sensors, heated mirrors. On top of this the dealer added interior protection package, nitrogen filled tires, mud guards, cargo tray, and window tint. They also added a pinstripe but we had it removed at the dealer because my wife hates them. Also at the dealer, we had the bright chromey EX rims switched out to the LX rims because of personal preference. Also has subwoofer and proximity entry.

Reason for selling is we just purchased a brand new Expedition El and do not need two SUVs so my wife will be buying a small sedan. This vehicle gets great gas mileage, 22/31, and is in great condition inside and out. It was involved in a rear end collision in Feb. of 2012 and was repaired back to new by one of, if not the best, body shops in Charlotte, Body Works Plus LLC. This happened with 15699 miles on the vehicle so we have driven this vehicle almost 28000 trouble free miles since this repair. We have all paperwork for this repair and also all maintenance paperwork. All oil changes and work have been done by Auto Tune Total Car Care and receipts will go with vehicle. Also, all manuals, paperwork, and window sticker will be included. Both keys are included.

Kelly Blue Book value on this vehicle is $20,188 but I realize that with an accident on the vehicle the value must be adjusted to compensate for future resale value so we will sale for a $1,689 discount at $18,499 or best offer. We feel this is very fair for all involved since the vehicle has not had one problem ever and especially in the 28000 miles since the repair. Also used to reach this value was the fact that local dealer Ben Mynatt Buick GMC has a same year/miles/equipment vehicle listed on Autotrader for $20,994. Plus with buying from a private seller there is NO doc fee.

The vehicle is still under factory warranty until 4/16/2016 or 60,000 miles!

Always garaged.

This vehicle is financed through Kia so there will be a payoff procedure with title exchange. This however is simple. We just sold my F150 which was financed through Ford and it went smooth and the buyer was happier to save thousands than worrying about waiting on a title.

Bank of America is offering super APR rate through the end of Feb, as low as 2.49 for up to 72 months. $18,499 using these numbers is only $275 a month! This was only put in for informational purposes. I am NOT a dealer and do NOT offer financing or shipping. Payment can be cash or we can meet at a bank where funds will have to be confirmed before vehicle is turned over, a bill of sale can be signed/notarized, and all disclosures can be provided.

Please ask any questions or contact me to set up a time to look at this vehicle. It is in really great condition and someone is going to get a great deal. Thanks, Tim.

Kia shows Cee'd GT and Pro_cee'd GT ahead of Geneva debut

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Kia has been releasing a lot of new models lately, showcasing improvements in both design and luxury, but a pair of introductions at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show could bring the automaker into the performance mindset. The five-door Kia Cee'd and three-door Pro_cee'd will be getting new GT trim levels that bring a little more horsepower and sportier styling to the compact hatchbacks.
For added power, the 1.6-liter direct-injected inline-four packs a new turbocharger that bumps engine output to 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque (an increase of 68 hp and 74 lb-ft), which is good enough to quicken the cars' 0-60 times to under eight seconds flat. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that there are any suspension upgrades, but the cars do get a dual exhaust system and 18-inch alloy wheels. Red brake calipers and a unique front fascia finish off the exterior styling, while Recaro buckets and a "GT" embroidered steering wheel can be found inside.
Both the Cee'd GT and Pro_cee'd GT will be on sale by the end of this year, and although we don't expect to see these cars in the US, adding a GT model to the Rio or Forte doesn't seem like it wouldn't be that hard.

Kia using quality and technology to increase sales and brand prestige

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Kia is a long way from hawking the anonymous lozenge known as the Sephia on our shores. That was only 1994, though, and in less than 20 years the company has gone from judging its aspirations against Japanese budget competition to walking auto show floors checking out the German standard-bearers for tips on how to increase sales and brand prestige. In an interview with Automotive News, Kia executives laid out their plan for carving out a Volkswagen-like niche for the company whereby they could be viewed as the premium pick in a volume segment. Concepts like the Kia Cub, above, would seem to point in this direction.
Kia is keen to make sure its sales targets don't impinge on its quest for better and better quality.
Kia's prime directive is "an unrelenting focus on quality." The Japanese brands earned a reputation for bulletproof reliability, and Kia is keen to make sure its sales targets don't impinge on its quest for better and better quality - neither in-house nor for its suppliers, a trade-off we've seen go wrong before. It has a Pilot Center that studies each new model for potential production problems before being given the approval for manufacture, and it isn't until the quality control department gives the okay that manufacture can begin.

A closer look at the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

When we named the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept as our top debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, our comments section had, let's call it, a tantrum. People were not pleased. Debuting alongside hugely significant production cars like the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Ford Mustang, Ford F-150, Lexus RC F, BMW M3/M4 and Chrysler 200 (not to mention great concepts like the Toyota FT-1, Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge and Volvo Concept XC Coupe), what business did a tiny, turbocharged, rear-drive Kia concept car have winning the prize as the best of Detroit?
Well, as it turns out, it has every right to be there. Our own Michael Harley sat down with the head of US design for Kia, Tom Kearn, to discuss the GT4 Stinger and find out just what the brand was thinking when it decided to create such an enthusiast-oriented concept. The interview gives a great insight into the car and its design, while Harley goes into some detail at the end of the video about why the GT4 was the Autoblog Editors' Choice of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
