2010 Kia Rio LX with low mileage (38,000 miles) has that new car feel when you drive it, 30+ miles per gallon. If you take a look at my feedback and the items I've sold you see that I do not overhype or overgrade my items but I must say this is a great car that you can truly count on. It has two new front tires and a new battery and has had a recent oil change and mechanically needs NOTHING, it runs and drives exceptionally well! The interior is nice and the exterior driver's side front right fender is a bit less than stellar and missing a small trim piece (the only thing missing within this car) there are a few minor cosmetic imperfections that being painted would fix but very minimal  if you seek perfection. Mechanically, the engine looks and runs like new and this is a car you can count on for years and should hold its value. I have much confidence in this car and the only reason I can sell it is because I sought more of a luxury car. I obviously like this car but could use the dough to pay some bills. This would be perfect for a commuter, student delivery driver etc. You'll feel like you're in a new car when you get in and drive her. Buy this extremely efficient and dependable car from an honorable source (Me) and worry no more about poor gas milage or expensive mechanics and you won't have to worry about those truly troubling check engline lights popping on after a few miles! My loss will be someone's gain.

I just noticed the below average score (54) on this car and was shocked but I'm 46 years old and have had many cars and this is one I believe in more than all of the others Ive had including the car I picked up to replace this one (2012 Nissan Sentra). I guess it must be because this car has a reconstructed title due to drivers side front end damage that was repaired. I picked this car up for the winter (and drove for three months) when I could no longer depend on my 02 Sentra and was impressed but like I said I wanted more of a luxury car... and this Kia was comfortable to drive also, the seats were basic but comfortable, my new Sentras seats aren't as comfortable and I'll probably be selling that in a few months due to that fact. I will keep this Kia and sell my new car before I sell this for less my starting price, as the starting bid is $1,500 less than what I've into it. Title is in hand, in my name. I took it of the road last week to sell in favor of the forementioned 2012 Sentra and already regret doing that. I am considering selling my new sentra and re-registering this so you can bid to win or take your chances swimming with the sharks.... My reputation speaks for itself, I am fair and honorable. If you have less than five (5) feedback transactions OR a low feedback rating (99.8) or less you must contact me prior to bidding or youre bid will be cancelled/blocked. Any questions call me at 781-570-6536 my name is Larry King Jr. if I dont answer leave a message and you're call will be returned.

Buying bang for your buck: Chrysler 300 and Kia Cadenza

Tue, Apr 11 2017

In today's car market a Chrysler or Kia with a base price of $30K can easily become $45K, just by checking a few random boxes. You can do the math – that extra $15K will cost you $300/month over the life (and death) of a 60-month payment book. If your goal is only to get places in a stylish sedan capable of staying with traffic, you can keep your outlay far closer to the base price of these cars. Although they may not appear on many shopping lists, there's a lot to like in the lower-spec versions of both Chrysler's 300 and Kia's upscale Cadenza. The Chrysler is relatively ancient among current product platforms, while the Cadenza was Kia's first upmarket initiative, now supplemented by the larger K900 and the fall debut of Kia's Stinger GT. But you will not find a better transportation value in a Kia showroom than its underappreciated Cadenza. Here's a closer look at both: CHRYSLER 300: This car is a testament to all that was right about the DaimlerChrysler merger of the late '90s. At the time of the 300 introduction, elements of its platform were taken from the Mercedes E-Class, and with proportions suggesting a mix of stately American and neoclassic German, the 300 continues to offer a "just right" mix of respectable accessibility. The guy owning the package store could "Dub" it, while Miss Daisy would have been eminently comfortable in its back seat. In 2017, the 300 is an outlier in the sedan landscape. This is a large four-door with rear-wheel drive (all-wheel drive is optional). But in a sea of Accord this or Avalon that, the 300 impresses as an almost-relevant update of sedans in your murky past. The attachment to Chrysler products of 50 years ago goes beyond the Hemi that might be under the hood; it's the entire vibe of a car company trying hard to distinguish itself in today's marketplace. Despite numerous updates, the Chrysler still seems last century, and that's just fine with older drivers with the cash – or credit rating – to consider a $40K car. Behind the wheel, Chrysler's 300 exhibits all we love about American motoring. You would never confuse the handling with 'crisp,' but it's competent, while the ride is almost sublime. This is a car that in fully-loaded form deserves a Hemi, but the V6 is generally unobtrusive, and might net you 30 mpg on the highway. The conventional, 8-speed automatic goes about its business exactly as an automatic should.

2018 Kia Stinger GT Long-Term Update | It's a hatch!

Fri, Jan 18 2019

Our long-term 2018 Kia Stinger GT is a lovely sedan. We've talked a bit about what it's like to live with day-to-day and just how well the GT badge fits on a car like this. It's racked up more than 10,000 miles in the few months it's been in our fleet. I'm personally hoping we can crest 20,000 miles before its year with us is up. The sleek design (both inside and out), sharp handling and peppy 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 might get all the attention, but people tend to forget it's practical, too. Just look at that cargo area! I sometimes forget that most people don't spend all day and night thinking about cars, poring over photos and spec sheets like we do. When I posted a photo on Twitter last month, one commenter seemed quite surprised to realize that the Stinger had a hatch rather than a trunk. It's one of my favorite things about this car, but it seems it's not common knowledge. If we can't get a true wagon, hatches like the Stinger, the Porsche Panamera and Audi A5/S5/RS5 Sportback are great alternatives. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The Stinger has 23.3 cubic feet of space with the seats up, though Kia doesn't list the area with the seats down. For reference, the Kia Optima has 15.9 cubic-feet in its trunk. Winter in Detroit sucks, and the Stinger GT's standard Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires aren't ideal for sub-freezing temperatures. Nokian Tyres was kind enough to donate a set of Hakkapeliitta studless winter tires for the Stinger (more on those in another post soon). When the tires arrived, I put the seats down and threw all four in the back of the car and took it to the tire shop. I had to remove the sun shade, but that was the only real fitment issue. About a week later, just before Christmas, Amazon dropped the price on a 55-inch TV I've had my eye on for months. I placed my order and had it shipped to our office lest package thieves steal it from my porch. I wasn't sure it would fit in the Stinger, but it was just about perfect. Another half inch and I would have needed our long-term Honda Ridgeline. Related Video:

What a strike in Korea could mean for US Hyundai and Kia buyers

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

A prolonged factory strike at Hyundai-Kia factories in South Korea could mean that US dealership inventory of certain vehicles, such as the South Korea-built Hyundai Accent and Kia Soul, could dry up in the coming months, depending on the length of the strike, reports Cars.com's blog, Kicking Tires. The two brands together rank sixth in US sales and fifth in global sales.
Kicking Tires gives fascinating insight into how a production stoppage in South Korea might affect vehicle sales in the US, considering Hyundai-Kia has two factories in the US that build the Kia Sorento and Optima/Optima Hybrid, and the Hyundai Elantra sedan/coupe/GT, Sonata/Sonata Hybrid and Santa Fe/Santa Fe Sport. The only one of these vehicles that's built solely in the US is the Kia Sorento, with the rest of them sharing production with South Korea.
Be sure to read the piece, especially if you're in the market for a Hyundai or Kia, or just interested in global economics.
