hydraulic valve lifters, oil pump, oil pan and fuel pump. Seals and
gaskets, with the exception of cylinder head gaskets and intake
manifold gaskets are covered only in conjunction with the covered
repair. Cylinder head and manifold gaskets are covered for coolant

Transmission
Automatic or Manual Transmission. All internally lubricated parts,
including clutches, bands, pump, pump housing, carrier assembly,

case only if damaged as a result of mechanical failure of the above

Drive Axle Assembly

bearings, ring and pinion, gears, spider gears and case, thrust
washers and spacers, housing only when damaged by an internally
lubricated part covered by the contract. Drive shaft, universal
joints, and front constant velocity joints on front wheel drive

Seals & Gaskets
All
seals and gaskets are covered when required in conjunction with the
replacement of a covered component. Head gaskets and intake manifold

Towing

your vehicle be in the need of a tow due to the fact that a covered
component has failed, towing is covered to the nearest qualified
repair center, up to a maximum of fifty dollars ($50).
24-Hour Roadside Assistance
When
towing is necessary, the member's disabled vehicle will be towed to
any location requested by the member.
Roadside assistance also included for: battery service/jump start,
flat tire, fuel, oil, and water delivery, and lockout assistance.
Coverage is provided up to $50 per occurrence to the covered vehicle
only.

Out-of-state buyers are responsible for inventory tax and a
documentation fee ($125). Inventory tax is calculated at .002659% of
the sales price.

A $1,500 deposit must be made within 24 hours of auction close
with the remaining balance paid within 3 days unless other

It seems that actress and comedienne Melissa McCarthy isn't going to catch a break in this year's Kia Niro hybrid Super Bowl commercials. The company previously teased an ad in which she runs in terror from something in an arid, possibly African landscape. The latest teaser shows her in much colder climates, and this time you can actually see a Niro. The problem is, it's stranded on an iceberg. In the teaser, she calls up Kia roadside assistance to ask just whether you actually need to be on a road to use it. No answer is given, so we'll probably have to wait for the full commercial to find out the resolution. Perhaps some polar bears, recognizing the Niro's environmentally-friendly 50 mpg rating, will push her iceberg to land so she can escape. We'll surely know when both this ad and the one set in the desert will air during the third quarter of the Super Bowl. Related Video:
Most often, dealership road-test capers in customer cars involve exciting metal - an employee totals a Chevy Camaro ZL1, or a does the same thing with a Dodge Viper. Or tapes himself wringing out Italian exotics at triple-digit speeds on public roads. That kind of horseplay rarely involves mass-market metal because it's not worth getting caught running red lights in a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero - except that actually happened, too. But we still don't understand the mechanic at Peak Kia North in Windor, CO, who used a customer's Kia Soul as his own car for four days and put 200 miles on it. Owner Veronica Pief discovered the nonsense when she downloaded the 17 hours of driving video from her dashcam. She dropped the Soul off to have its speed-volume control fixed, but got it back with the extra mileage and the volume problem still hadn't been remedied. It got worse when she said of the dealership, "Afterwards, they just blew us off. They didn't care. They didn't show any concern." Sometime between that disrespect and Denver's KUSA 9NEWS doing a story on it, the dealer decided it should fix the situation. Pief said she wanted the dealer to buy her car back and pay off the loan, which sounds extreme, but she might have been thinking about the verbiage in her owner's manual. Kia is one of the automakers that's strict about voiding warranties if it deems a car has been abused. Peak Kia North gave Pief what she wanted just one day after the original story ran, buying the car back from her with plans to auction it and donate the proceeds to charity. With all the excitement at the Kia stand surrounding the new Soul EV, it's easy to forget that there were other cars on display at the Korean marque's Chicago Auto Show display. The Niro Concept from the Frankfurt Motor Show made an appearance, but the other production model on display was the refreshed Optima Hybrid (which was tucked away in a corner). Like the standard Optima, which was refreshed at the 2013 New York Auto Show last year, the hybridized sedan gets a slightly restyled face and rear end. As we told you in our official post on the car yesterday, the gas-electric powertrain of the 2014 Optima Hybrid still deploys 199 total system horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. Buyers of the base LX car will net 36 miles per gallon in the city and 40 on the highway, while the upmarket EX loses a mile per gallon in both environments.
