Up for sale is our personal vehicle, a 2011 Kia Sorento EX with a 4 cyl. engine.  It was purchased new and has remained within our immediate family.  We purchased it from our in-laws when they moved onto a different vehicle.  We have to do the same, now that we're a family of 6 (we went the minivan route).  To our knowledge, there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.  It looks great, it drives great and has always been reliable.  We will definitely miss owning and driving this vehicle.  It's been a great SUV, and undoubtedly you will enjoy it.

Features:
+ A handy push button start with proximity key fob
+ Hands free bluetooth connectivity for your phone or music device
+ An eco-friendly 4 cyl. engine with great mpg
+ Alloy Wheels
+ and more!

Condition: Between Good to Excellent (this is a really great vehicle!)

Shipping/Pickup:  Local pickup, or Buyer Arranged Shipping (at Buyer's cost).  In Missouri, we need you to be present to sign over the Title, if at all possible.

Payment:  $500 Cash/Cashier's Check/Money Order Deposit if not paid in full within 72 hours.  Otherwise, paid in full within 72 hours--unless another arrangement is needed.  Note that we'll only accept Cash or Cashier's Check/Money Order.  If you provide us with a Cashier's Check or Money Order, vehicle possession will take place after the Check/Money Order is deposited and cleared by the Bank (this can be a simple walk/drive to the Bank before driving it off).  If you plan to pay for this after 72 hours of the auction end, then please pay the $500 deposit fee, and pay the full amount within 7 days.  We are pretty reasonable on the payment terms.  If you have any questions, please ask.

Please contact us if you have any questions at all.  Thank you!

Pope Francis chauffeured around Korea in a Kia Soul

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

Korea is not without its domestic automobiles that would be suitable for transporting a visiting head of state: the Hyundai Equus comes to mind. Failing that, a Genesis sedan would do the trick. Maybe even a Kia K900 or a Renault Samsung SM7. But those familiar with Pope Francis and his taste in transportation won't be surprised that His Holiness has chosen something decidedly more modest for his visit to South Korea.
Instead of a more luxurious sedan, the Bishop of Rome has elected to be driven in a Kia Soul, giving the high-roofed hatchback a bigger boost (in the Catholic world, at least) than any quantity of animated hamsters ever could.
The Soul, which was likely reinforced somewhat if the Swiss Guard got its way, was ready for the Holy Father upon his arrival. Francis slid into the back, rolled down the window and waved back at the welcoming party, including President Park Geun-hye. The Pope will reportedly be driven around in the Kia over the course of his five-day visit.

Forte 2.0 Keeps Kia Competitive In The Compact Crop
Looking back just a few years, America's compact segment was filled with bland, uninteresting cars that traded largely on low prices and high fuel economy. In today's landscape, though, things couldn't be more different - this class now boasts some of the most attractive cars on the market, not to mention features and technologies once reserved for luxury cars.
Filling Kia's role in this important market, the 2014 Forte has helped make the South Korean automaker a contender among compact cars with the sedan launching earlier in the year and the Koup and Forte5 hatchback hitting dealers soon. When the Forte first launched in 2010, it was a much-needed replacement for the Spectra, but it still had lingering drivetrain refinement issues. In the end, the model didn't really move the needle for Kia, let alone the segment. Now the second-generation Forte sedan has arrived in an effort to bolster the company's lineup, a portfolio that includes impressive models like the Optima, Sorento, Soul and even the subcompact Rio.

Sales incentive growth clustered around brands with few CUVs, trucks

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

While it's arguably been around the longest, the dominance of the four-door sedan has been under threat for many years. As a further sign of the hurtin' that SUVs and crossovers have put on today's four-doors, a new report from Automotive News points to the increasing use of incentives by brands reliant on cars and light on CUVs and pickups.
Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Kia have all been stung by double-digit increases in their incentives-to-transaction price ratio, according to AN, which cites data from TrueCar. Honda's ratio is up 14 percent, while Toyota, VW and Kia are up 18, 15 and 19 percent, respectively.
"Most of the incentive growth we have seen is in product segments with low demand - midsized or large sedans," TrueCar CEO John Krafcik told AN. "As this trend goes on, the brands with three-sedan strategies are going to be in worse shape on incentive spending than the crossover brands."
