THIS JEEP IS AWESOME! IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT! NO PROBLEMS, NO ISSUES! GET IN AND DRIVE!

IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SOUTH WESTERN BORN AND RAISED JEEP SO THERE AREN'T ANY PROBLEMS/ISSUES WITH RUST.

IT DRIVES VERY STRAIGHT AND SOLID, EVEN ON THE FREEWAY. YOU CAN DRIVE IT ON THE FREEWAY AT 75 MPH AND THERE IS NO SHAKING, PULLING, WANDERING, SHIMMY, ETC. IT HASN'T BEEN BANGED UP AND ABUSED OFF ROAD AND IT REALLY SHOWS WHEN YOU DRIVE IT ON THE FREEWAY. IT IS TIGHT AND VERY STURDY. IT ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT UP (EVEN AFTER SITTING FOR A WEEK OR TWO) AND IDLES PERFECTLY.

BRAKES ARE ALSO GOOD. IT SHIFTS SMOOTHLY BETWEEN THE GEARS AND IT DOESN'T GRIND OR POP OUT OF GEAR IN ANY WAY. ALL THE LIGHTS, SIGNALS, AND GAUGES ARE ALSO WORKING PROPERLY. IT HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH LED LIGHTS ALL THE WAY AROUND WHICH ADDS TO IT'S OVERALL CLEAN AND UPDATED LOOK.

I HAVE A FULL HARDTOP FOR IT AND IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS WELL. HARD DOORS ARE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS BOTH ON AND OFF. THEY CAN EASILY BE REMOVED ON AND OFF ACCORDING TO YOUR PREFERENCE.

IT IS LIFTED 2 INCHES AND HAS 31X10.50 TIRES WITH PLENTY OFF TREAD LIFE LEFT.

IT HAS AN ALPINE REMOVABLE FACE DECK WITH TWEETERS IN THE FRONT AND SUBWOOFER IN THE BACK WITH A ROCKFORD FOSGATE  AMPLIFIER HIDDEN UNDER THE REAR SEAT. THE REAR SEAT IS A (FOLD-AND-TUMBLE) TO ALLOW FOR EXTRA CARGO STORAGE WHEN NEEDED.

THERE IS ALSO A CENTER CONSOLE AND THE TWO FRONT SEATS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH VERY COMFORTABLE AND MUCH BETTER (SUSPENSION SEATS) WHICH ARE MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN THE STIFF UNCOMFORTABLE FACTORY ONES.

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A GREAT LOOKING AND RUNNING JEEP THAT NEEDS NOTHING BUT A BEACH, DESERT, OR MOUNTAIN BACKGROUND TO CRUISE AROUND IN.

Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production

Sun, 28 Apr 2013

In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.

2015 Jeep Renegade leaks out ahead of Geneva debut

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Meet the Renegade - Jeep's new baby crossover that's set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The folks at Jalopnik got their hands on a small batch of photos of the new little cutie, showing what appears to be a Trailhawk (read: trail-rated) version, as well as a more civilian-spec Renegade, complete with a new removable roof system, reportedly called My Sky.
Details are slim, though in addition to the exterior images, one photo of the interior has also been leaked, showing what appears to be a small, yet functional (and nicely appointed) cabin. Early reports suggested that the new small Jeep would be based on the Fiat 500L platform, though Jalopnik rightly points out that the Renegade looks an awful lot like the Panda 4x4. Regardless, there's still likely some 500L bones under there, and we'll know more once the official details are revealed in the very near future.
Head over to Jalopnik for more shots of the cute little Renegade, and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

2014 Jeep Compass/Patriot sing their swan songs with a six-speed automatic

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

Unless the governor, Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, gives them a reprieve, the 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot are expected to meet their makers sometime next year. Should they perish, it's a shame that it would happen just as they've shed the continuously variable transmission that was their major bugbear, and just as the Compass has gotten its best looks yet.
Both will roll with a proper six-speed automatic transmission, courtesy of PowerTech. Noise-resistant gears and tuning by Chrysler boffins should alleviate the unappealing sounds that were given off by the older CVT. Unless, that is, you choose to have either model equipped with Freedom Drive II; the serious off-road package, available on both baby Jeeps, will still come with the CVT. The base transmission on the entry-level Sport trim remains the five-speed manual.
Otherwise, it's minor changes for the Compass, set off by the new 18-inch wheel option, trim pieces around the car and a back-up camera. The Patriot gets seat-mounted airbags, but is carryover otherwise. With their expected demises perhaps a year away, not much has changed otherwise. Engine choices comprise the 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque or the 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 172 hp and 165 lb-ft.
