This vehicle has the normal scratches, nicks and door dings that would be found on any vehicle of this age. The title will be a PA reconstructed title. This Jeep can be titled and insured in all states. You can drive the vehicle home on a transit/temp tag. Please check with your states DMV to see if there are any additional titling requirements. The owner was paid by the insurance company for the Jeep, the Jeep then belonged to the insurance company, which is where we come in. By Pennsylvania law any vehicle that has been paid off by an insurance company must get a salvage title, No matter how minor the damage is. This Jeep has went through the Pennsylvania Enhanced Inspection Process and the title has been converted to a standard title that is branded reconstructed. The title is also listed as not actual miles because the insurance company did not have the keys for the vehicle to get a reading from the digital dash at the time the title was processed. Almost NEW 31/10.50-15 Maxxis MT-754 Buckshot Mudder Tires(these tires are about $170 each) on Black Soft 8 Style Wheels. Suspension Lift, Class 3 Tow Receiver. Runs and looks very good. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to finish this Jeep at a very reasonable price, the NADA average retail is about $8000 without counting allowences for the low miles and the custom options, this reserve on this Jeep is well below that price. NHTSA still mulling crash tests for recalled Jeeps
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Well, no one should ever accuse the government of not giving things plenty of thought. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is still debating whether it will retest any of the 1.56 million 1992 to 1998 Grand Cherokees and 2002 to 2007 Libertys that were part of a recall regarding fires after rear-end collisions. And yes, this debate has been going on for over a month. In other news...
The recall dustup started in early June, when Chrysler took the unusual position of refusing a recall request from NHTSA regarding placement of the fuel tank on the effected vehicles. NHTSA said a collision could cause a fire, a position Chrysler took issue with. Extensive negotiations ensued, with Chrysler agreeing to fit certain Jeeps with trailer hitches, which it said would provide some protection to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle in the event of a collision.
Part of the issue rests with the amount of data that needs to be processed, according to The Detroit News. NHTSA administrator David Strickland said during a Washington Auto Press Association meeting, "There's a lot of data and Chrysler is being very cooperative in giving us more data." Until that information has been sorted, it looks like re-testing will still be up for debate.
Jeep Renegade Hell's Revenge is the Harley rider's Jeep
Fri, Jun 17 2016Well, here's a thing. Yes, it's a Jeep Renegade. Yes, it has flames on it. And no, we aren't really sure how to feel about it. This is the Renegade Hell's Revenge. Presumably named after the Hell's Revenge Trail in Moab, this one-off baby Jeep is the product of Italian tuning house Garage Italia Customs and draws inspiration from the collected works of Harley-Davidson. It's not the first time a car company has attached the Milwaukee icon's badge to one of its vehicles – the company has a long history of partnering with Ford for special edition pickup trucks – but it's the first time we can recall the brand teaming with Jeep. The Hell's Revenge was created because of the 25th annual European H.O.G. Rally, a big Harley-Davidson festival being held in Portoroz, Slovenia this weekend. And since Europeans have a bizarre infatuation with Harleys, Jeep probably saw an excellent advertising opportunity and slotted the off-road brand in as the event's main sponsor. We have to admire the workmanship on this diesel-powered Renegade. Ignore the fact that there's a flame motif, and the actual paint job itself is absolutely lovely. According to FCA's official release, GIC used four layers of matte paint before applying fluorescent paint. The dashboard also gets a bright, exuberant flame motif, while the seats are a combination of Foglizzo Nappa leather and black denim. The functional changes are minor. BFGoodrich tires and a jacked-up suspension provide extra capability, and there are a pair of adorable LED spotlights ahead of the two A-pillars. It's an impressive effort. Really. But when you remember that the last Chrysler product to wear a flame motif was the PT Cruiser, we wonder if Jeep knew what kind of company its newest CUV would be in. Related Video:
