THIS IS THE RUBICON YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!! MUST SELL!!This is an amazing Jeep with only the best parts and all professionally installed. My brother works for Jeep so I was always able to get the best parts and best installers. The only reason I am selling it is because I am moving back to Virginia and need to sell it ASAP sadly. This Jeep is truly ready for anything you want to do with it. It was built with every situation in mind, daily and highway driving as well as tough trails Moab. It runs and drives amazing. Always use full synthetic oil which was just changed and added new brakes and rotors front and rear. There is easily 15-20K in parts and labor into it. It even had the whole Perma plate package on the Paint and undercarriage which has helped keep it as good as the pictures look. Now for the part list, I will include as many as will allow.
SkyJacker suspension lift, 5.13 Gears W/master install kit front and rear, Bushwacker flat fenders, Teraflex Rockgaurds, 5-17' DOT Hutchinson true beadlock RockMonsters W/fresh custom powder coat, 4 Toyo MT 37x12.5x17 installed last summer w/ tons of tread left, Spare is BFG KM2, Fabfours Rear bumper W/Tire carrier and Hi/lift, Smitty Built Front stubby bumper W/Warn 9.5TI winch Nylon cable, KC lights with Mirror relocate brackets for legal door removal, AFE Cold air intake with throttle spacer, custom exhaust (sounds as mean as it looks), new Delta Headlights, brand new Quadratec Red/Black seat covers, the list goes on. Any questions please feel free to ask me any time. Trust me, Being a Jeep guy and knowing the money it takes to build a machine like this I wouldn't let it get away. So if you are serious please make me an offer. Thanks

2014 Jeep Patriot and Compass ditch CVT for six-speed auto
Mon, 07 Jan 2013It was reported in Automotive News a few months ago, but a new report on Allpar.com adds some details to news that the 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot will get a six-speed automatic to replace the CVTs they currently use. According to a tip provided to Allpar, the 2014 models will begin production in March and be on sale sometime in the summer. The Jatco-sourced CVT in use until now - Jatco is owned by Nissan and Mitsubishi - has been often criticized, and many won't be sad to see it go.
The incoming six-speed automatic is said to be an all-wheel-drive cog-swapper that's the work of Hyundai and Magna and has been paired with the DynaMax AWD system used in the Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage. It won't be the only Chrysler product using a transmission with ties to Hyundai: the six-speed automatic in the Dodge Dart comes from Powertech, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai. With the Patriot and Compass said to be driving down the trail for the last time this year, it will be a short run for the new tranny and the rumored addition of a backup camera and power rear liftgate on the Compass.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. 2014 Jeep Cherokee: June 2014
Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
