Limited Edition and hard to find Mojave Desert Edition!

This Limited Edition is 100% original and from the factory with all weather leather embossed with the desert lizard logo, and the exterior is 100% desert sand color with painted top and fenders plus the Mojave graphics on the hood and fender. It's a very hard to find model! I know because it took me forever to find one for sale too.

This edition is a cross between a Rubicon and a Sahara due to all the accessories and the suspension. Not many were made and are very desired and hard to find!

THIS EDITION IS ALSO THE ONLY EDITION THAT CAME WITH 2 SETS OF FACTORY WHEELS AND TIRES!!!! No joke. 1 set is for highway / normal driving (been on ever since we bought it in 2011) and 1 full set of off road BF tires (NEVER USED / 10 miles on them as of 4/5/13 - but putting on for the sale). Both rims and tires are 17" stock Rubicon rims.

In general, it has everything you could ask for! I will list some things off the top of my head here but I'm sure I'm missing something it has. We have not done any upgrades or after market parts. It's 100% original.

Exterior: (over all bells and whistles) All is stock and what it came with.
Full body colored tops, fender, and grill.
Tail light cages
Hood graphics
Fender graphics.
Fog lights.
Tint
Rock guards / side steps
Trailer / tow hitch package
5 - stock Rubicon 17" wheels with road tires (original tires with all miles on them - still have life!)
5 - stock Rubicon 17" wheels with Off Road - All Terrain BF tires (NEVER used and 0 miles until April 5, 2013 when we put them on for the auction and sale)
Rear / spare tire cover (desert tan)

Interior: (over all - bells and whistles)
Caramel / tan leather with embossed graphic
Caramel / tan door, dash and more option
3 piece removable hard top - 2pc driver and passenger (T-top) & 1pc rear (REAR top has never been removed)
Power windows and locks
Cruise control
Padded roll bars
XM Radio with current subscription
Automatic w/ quick 4x4
Leather wrapped steering wheel with controls
Remote entry / alarm (2 keys)

Maintenance: Although it is still newer, all maintenance has been performed by a Jeep dealership and we do have all records.

Windshield: Has 1 rock nick that was filled and 1 "U" crack at top of passenger side of windshield. Does not need to be replaced by my opinion. What windshield doesn't have something!?

All miles where highway use by my wife since we bought it. It is registered in CO but we now live and located in New Braunfels, TX)

Title is held by Ally Credit Union. Once we receive payment we will be able to obtain the title to send to the buyer. (normal)

Selling because we just don't need it, but is a very cool Jeep and love having it! If it sells, it sells, if not we're going to have a great summer with it no problem.

This vehicle is also for sale locally and we maintain the right to pull / end this auction at any time if the reserve is not met prior to the auction's ending time.

5 classic trucks and their polarizing modern revivals

Sun, Mar 3 2024

EVs are helping eliminate Detroit's gas-guzzling problem. Some revivals of gas-powered classics are getting the EV treatment.  But not every revived model looks exactly like its original counterpart. We're in a new era of hulking Detroit metal, and you can thank EVs. Americans can't get enough of their big, beefy trucks and SUVs. But for many years, some of the biggest gas guzzlers fell out of fashion as gas prices rose and emissions regulations tightened. But in the past few years, some of the most iconic American truck nameplates have been brought back to life with electric motors, like the GMC Hummer. In other cases, as with the Ford Bronco, improvements in engine technology and more interest in rugged adventure vehicles made a gas-powered revival possible. Even some revivals that started as gas-powered, like the Chevy Blazer and the Jeep Wagoneer, are now getting electrified spinoffs. (Even if they don't always look quite as sleek as their original inspiration.) Here are side-by-sides of five classic American trucks and their modern counterparts. The Jeep Wagoneer 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and 2024 Electric Jeep Wagoneer SStellantis After a long wait, Jeep released its revival of the classic Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in 2020. Starting later this year, an electric version of the luxury Jeep SUV will join the Wagoneer lineup. The Chevrolet Blazer A 1973 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVGetty Images, General Motors The Chevrolet Blazer was first rebooted in 2019 as a sporty family SUV. The modern Blazer shares zero resemblance to its boxy, off-roading older sibling, but it has still managed to become one of Chevy's more popular SUVs in recent years. The Blazer EV came later, and was one of the first models GM built on its new Ultium battery platform. The Hummer A Hummer H2 and the 2023 Hummer EV pickup truckGetty Images, General Motors Once the poster child for Detroit's big, bad gas guzzlers, the Hummer got new life as an electric pickup truck in 2021. The Ford Bronco A 1971 Ford Bronco and a 2022 Ford BroncoFord Motor Co. After a rouge group of engineers and designers inside Ford spent years trying to breathe life back into the Blue Oval's boxy off-roader, the Ford Bronco was finally resurrected in 2020 amid a rise in popularity for rugged adventure vehicles. 10 of 18 midsize SUVs earn 'good' IIHS side impact safety rating

Wed, May 18 2022

It's not terribly surprising that midsize SUVs earned better safety ratings than small SUVs in the latest side-impact tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Just how much better they scored, on the other hand, certainly raises an eyebrow. Ten out of 18 midsize SUVs earned the highest rating of 'good' in the stringent new test, altered for vehicles starting with the 2020 model year with a heavier barrier (4,200 pounds) that moves at a higher speed (37 miles per hour) and is fitted with a hard honeycomb frontal structure. By way of contrast, just one out of of 20 small SUVs earned a 'good' score.  SUVs that receiving 'good' scores were the Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX60, Lincoln Aviator, Mazda CX-9, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru Ascent, Toyota Highlander, Volkswagen Atlas, Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and Volkswagen ID.4. For EV fans, it's worth noting the ID.4 was the only electric vehicle included in the test. The Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse scraped away with 'acceptable' ratings while the Honda Passport, Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, Jeep Wrangler 4-door, Kia Telluride and Nissan Murano were deemed merely 'marginal' in the tough new test. Only two models — the Mazda CX-9 and Volkswagen ID.4 — earned a "Good" rating in every test category.  Interestingly, the Jeep Wrangler would have scored a 'good' rating if it were equipped with side airbags for the rear seating positions. It would likely be an engineering challenge to equip its removable top and/or doors with airbags, but the lack of that safety feature allowed the head of the rear passenger dummy to hit the vertical support of the top. Otherwise, the Wrangler scored good ratings across the board. The new Ford Bronco, which makes more allowances for side-impact safety, has not yet been tested.  The popular Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride SUVs stand out in the test with 'poor' ratings for driver pelvis injuries. The Nissan Murano, a vehicle last redesigned for the 2015 model year, was the only vehicle tested that received a 'poor' rating for its structure and safety cage. Videos of the tests of 12 of these 18 SUVs can be found on the IIHS' YouTube page. China's Great Wall confirms its interest — in Jeep, or all of FCA

Tue, Aug 22 2017

HONG KONG/SHANGHAI — Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor reiterated its interest in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV on Tuesday, but said it had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. China's largest sport utility vehicle manufacturer made a direct overture to Fiat Chrysler on Monday, with an official saying the company was interested in all or part of FCA, owner of the Jeep and Ram truck brands. Automotive News first reported the news, quoting Great Wall Motor President Wang Fengying as saying she planned to contact FCA to discuss acquiring the Jeep brand specifically. Those comments sent FCA shares higher but also raised questions over the ability of China's seventh-largest automaker by sales to buy larger Western rival FCA, or even Jeep, which some analysts value at as much as one-and-a-half times FCA. Great Wall sought to dampen speculation on Tuesday. It confirmed it had studied Fiat Chrysler, but said there was "no concrete progress so far" and "substantial uncertainty" over whether it would eventually bid. "The company has not built any relationship with the directors of FCA nor has the company entered into any discussion or signed any agreements with any officer of FCA so far," the company said in an English-language stock exchange filing. It did not give further detail. Fiat Chrysler stock dipped on the statement on Tuesday. Great Wall said trading in its Shanghai-listed shares would resume on Wednesday after having been suspended. Fiat Chrysler declined to comment on Great Wall's statement. On Monday, it said it had not been approached and was fully committed to implementing its current business plan. FLUSHING OUT RIVALS? Great Wall Motor, which was early to spot China's love of SUVs, had revenue of $14.8 billion last year and sold 1.07 million vehicles - but that compares with FCA's 2016 revenue of 111 billion euros ($130.6 billion). Analysts said Great Wall would need to raise both debt and equity to complete any deal, meaning its chairman Wei Jianjun could lose majority control. One possible scenario, according to analysts at Jefferies, would see Wei keeping a roughly 30 percent stake, while Great Wall would raise $10-$14 billion in debt and $10 billion in equity - hefty for a group currently worth just $16 billion. Ultimately, politics could be the clincher.
