You are bidding on my own jeep. I'm the first and only owner, bought her brand new in April of 2010.

Added heated seats, custom leather Kat Skinz seats. 2.5" full suspension lift (not cheap spacers, the real deal), and 35" Nitto Terra Grappler Tires, very quiet for big tires, plenty of thread left.

Jeeps runs perfectly, no issues at all.  I have babied her since day one, I wash her at leaset twice a week, detail twice a year. No accidents, fender benders or any other claims.

Never went 4 wheeling. Mostly highway miles.

Jeep also comes with both tops, and the 5 original 32" tires that came on Jeep. Those tires only saw 16k miles, and have about 40k miles left on them.

Jeep is also for sale locally in Rhode Island and I will have to end auction early if it sells locally, unless reserve is met, then it will stay on ebay of course.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I will ship jeep at buyer's expense. $1,000 deposit 24 hours  via paypal or wire transfer. Remaining balance is due via certified bank check.

Thank you!

On Mar-19-13 at 06:55:28 PDT, seller added the following information:

Oil change and tire rotations every 3500 miles. Never late, never missed.  New front brake pads at 38,000 miles and transmission fluid flush at 39,000 miles.  Truck needs nothing at all.

Chrysler uses Super Bowl spots to honor troops, farmers

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

How do you follow up such revered and successful ads as Chrysler's last two Super Bowl commercials? Imported from Detroit and Halftime in America should be given credit for giving the automaker's public perception a complete overhaul after its rescue from the brink with taxpayer money. What next, then?
We just found out during Super Bowl XLVII. This year Chrysler went with two commercials, one for Jeep and the other Ram. The two-minute-long Jeep commercial, called Whole Again, is narrated by Oprah Winfrey and presented as an open letter to the service men and women of America, simply expressing admiration for what they do - poignant message coming from a company whose history is so entwined with that of the military's.
The Ram commercial, called Farmer, honors the agricultural backbone of this country. Its soundtrack is a speech entitled "So God Made a Farmer" given by the famous radio broadcaster Paul Harvey, which plays over a slideshow of original photography commissioned by Ram. The images, of course, focus on farming and the people who do it for a living, and there's a few Ram trucks in there, as well.

Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay

Sat, 23 Mar 2013

A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.

China orders Jeep to investigate Wrangler fire risk

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

It's been some time since we've heard anything about fires related to the Jeep Wrangler (foreign or domestic), but it sounds like the go-anywhere SUV could be in hot water once again in China. Bloomberg is reporting that the Chinese government is ordering Jeep to investigate the matter and, in the meantime, also recommending Wrangler owners to not drive their vehicles in "extreme conditions" due to a "relatively high risk" of catching on fire.
There is no indication as to how many vehicles or which model years are affected, but the previous fire problems in both the US and China - which led to investigations but no recalls - were traced back to automatic transmission fluid leaks. The article, however, does not say what the potential problem is this time around as Jeep has not released a comment on the matter. The official notice, in Chinese, can be found here.
