Up for sale is my 2007 Jeep. This is my baby and I Hate to see her go. Upgrades all over. A real head turner. Im selling due to the need for more of a family vehicle. Its in great shape. Not perfect, but no major cosmetic issues. Its 6 years old, so it may have a blemish here and there...but nothing like big dents or scratches. Since I decided to sell it, I dropped it off at my mechanic to fix anything that needed it. I had them fix a small exhaust leak, a gasket on the intake manifold, a wheel alignment, oil change and the front left wheel bearing. This all was $1250.00 just last week. So the Jeep is up to date mechanically. Never had any major issues with it. Starts and drives great.  6 speed manual transmission( real Jeepers know that you have DRIVE jeeps) Jeep shifts smooth and clutch is perfect. Interior is in great shape. No rips or stains. It will need a whole new passenger rear seat seatbelt assembly. Costs about $80.00. Other than that everything is fine. Tires are near new...90-95 % tread left. I paid over $800.00 per tire between the rim and tire. Not interested in trades. Looking for a smooth transaction on both our parts. I am including the mechanic receipts as well. Be sure to check the free carfax report on this page. Buyer responsible for shipping arraingments. Contact me with any questions. I will include more pics of the Jeep soon.  \

Jeep is for sale locally so I may have to end this auction early.

Chrysler 3.0L EcoDiesel V6: Autoblog Technology of the Year finalist

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Offering a diesel engine in an American pickup is anything but new - Ford, General Motors and Chrysler all offer excellent and almost impossibly powerful oil-burning engines in their various fullsize trucks. What is new and novel about the 3.0L EcoDiesel, though, is its size, and the variety of vehicles that use it. It's the smallest engine, as far as displacement is concerned, currently offered in a large truck in the US, and, for 2014 and 2015, it is available in the Ram 1500 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Though it may be small, it's got muscle. While 240 horsepower isn't particularly impressive these days, the engine's 420 pound-feet of torque more than makes up for that. The torque rating is even greater force than even the big 5.7-liter Hemi can muster. Chrysler's well-regarded eight-speed automatic transmission makes the most of all that bull-headed pulling power in both the Ram and Grand Cherokee. Chrysler claims the Ram EcoDiesel 1500 can tow as much as 9,200 pounds when properly equipped, which makes it "90-percent of the Hemi with a night and day difference in fuel economy."
Make no mistake; it's that promise of a sizable fuel economy improvement that many long-haul truckers will be most interested in. In the Ram 1500 that we tested for our Tech of the Year competition, the diesel engine costs $2,850 more than the gas-fed V8, and Ram estimates that EcoDiesel buyers will pay off their investment when compared to the Hemi engine in less than three years, which is considerably less time than the 4.5 or so years the average buyer will keep his or her fullsize pickup. The more you drive, the more you'll save, and the math proves equally as effective in the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Jeep idles second shift it hired a month ago for 2014 Cherokee

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

In an unusual move, Chrysler is idling its recently hired second shift of 2014 Jeep Cherokee builders because, Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said in a statement, it already has built the "critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released," Automotive News reports.
After the "critical" 9,430 Cherokees were built, the layoff was enacted so as not to strain the automaker's logistics partners before the Cherokee is actually released. Chrysler says the temporary layoff will last about two weeks, with 500 workers out of work and another 600 reassigned at the Toledo Assembly Complex where the sports utility vehicle was being built. The second-shift workers were hired on August 19.
Chrysler previously insisted that it would release the Cherokee to dealerships by the end of the third quarter, and it initially planned to start selling the SUVs in mid-August. Apparently the Cherokee needed a software fix before hitting showrooms, which is how Chrysler explains why the release schedule is out of whack. We're thinking that this software fix addresses the "powertrain calibration" issue that delayed the first media test drives of the model. According to the Toledo Blade, Chrysler has admitted it is doing "extended quality validation testing" but refused to provide more information.

Jeep Wrangler Mojo and Cherokee Dakar teased ahead of Moab Easter Safari

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Jeep has an annual tradition of debuting wild, new concepts during its Easter Jeep Safari, and this year looks to be no different. The automaker has already confirmed two of the six vehicles for 2014 - the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) and Wrangler Mojo. This year's event runs in Moab, Utah, from April 12-20.
There are no official details about either of the concepts yet - Jeep will release more info on the new models next week. Judging by the pictures, though, the Cherokee Dakar appears to be lifted with some knobby off-road tires. The Wrangler Mojo looks to have a bulging hood that might hide a more powerful engine underneath.
Past vehicles at the Easter Jeep Safari have included a Hemi V8-powered Wrangler, a classically inspired pickup and modernized Jeep Forward Control. Since this is the brand's chance to express itself every year, hopefully it has some more sensational concepts up its sleeve. Scroll down to read the little information that has been revealed about this year's models so far.
