PLEASE NOTE: THIS VEHICLE IS ALSO SUBJECT TO LOCAL SALE. IT IS BEST TO ACT QUICKLY IF INTERESTED.

Up for auction is this 2006 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT 4X4 WITH 4.0 STRAIGHT SIX CYLINDER, AUTOMATIC, A/C, POWER WINDOWS, CRUISE CONTROL AND RIGHT HAND DRIVE. It was a local trade and we are guessing the original owner probably had a rural postal route as it began its existence in Rossville, Kansas, population 1151. According to its Carfax report, its had 3 previous owners, no accidents and has always been a Kansas vehicle. Its condition is superb and its easy to see it was very well taken care of. Usually rust is quite a problem on these, however this one is rust free. There are some rock chips down low under the plastic fender skirts that have some surface starting, but other than that its amazing for the miles it has on it. It runs and drives like new and the a/c and all the equipment seems to work well but it needs a new fan switch as the number 3 selection is the only one that works. The a/c is very cold, so its adequate even without the highest speed. Its an easy fix though if you choose to do it. The tires are about 50% and we feel this one is a sound enough vehicle mechanically that it should not be a problem to fly in and drive it home! Take advantage of our no reserve auction and don't let this one get away!!!

Jeep lays out 5-year plan, including rebirth of Grand Wagoneer and new C-segment offering

Tue, 06 May 2014

Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Machionne presented a five-year plan for the company brands this morning, with Jeep first up on a long day of presentation. Jeep's head honcho Michael Manley wasted no time in laying out what the foreseeable future will look like for what he calls the "lead global brand" of the company.
Big goals for the next half-decade will include expanding the lineup from five nameplates built in one country, to six nameplates build in six countries. That expansion of models will include both a three-row competitor, and, of course, a small vehicle to slot below Cherokee. The company is also seeking to add a whopping 1,300 dealers over the next few years, to sell all this new metal, and has an aggressive goal of doubling Jeep sales by the time 2018 rolls around.
As expected, that first salvo from the off-road brand will be the debut of the much ballyhooed Renegade small crossover in the third quarter of this year. Jeep has already designated that Renegade will get refreshed for the 2017 model year, as well.

Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.

Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
