2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2-door **only 8,600 Miles!!** on 2040-cars
Golden, Colorado, United States
2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4x4 with less than 9000 original miles!!! (Still have the original window sticker)
Features: * Jeep Green w/metallic clear coat exterior and dark khaki soft top. Interior is khaki cloth (Still smells new) * Last year for the infamous 4.0 liter Power Tech I6 engine with 6 spd manual transmission. Mileage: 8,667 * H.D. Dana 44 Front and Rear Axles w/ 4:11 ratios and Tru-Lok (Locking) differentials in both axles. Original owner purchased the Jeep new and immediately had approx. $10,000 of Off-road upgrades professional installed. Here's what was done: * 6" Fabtech Suspension Lift * 295/75R16 Nitto Terra Grappler tires (34" tires) * Stinger front bumper with 2 KC lites and Warn 8000lb winch * Custom rear bumper with 2" receiver * Heavy duty spare tire carrier w/full size spare and grease-able hinge * Wilderness roof rack with 6 KC lites (4 front and 2 rear) and Hi-lift jack, axe and shovel The original owner suffered medical problems and the Jeep just sat in storage. I purchased the Jeep with approx. 2700 miles with the intent to take the family Off-roading in the Rockies or Moab etc. But kids' sports have completely dominated my time and the Jeep is not being used for what it was built for. The only 4 wheel drive action this Jeep has seen is a few Colorado snowstorms. The only thing I added was the Rancho RS9000 steering stabilizer and all-weather floor mats. Don't miss your chance to own one of the last great Jeep Rubicons with low mileage and professionally built for Off-road. Even with the upgrades, the Jeep drives and tracks down the road perfectly! Even at the "Buy it Now" price, deducting all the upgrades, you would be buying a low mileage stock Rubicon for only $16,500. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. A $500 Paypal deposit (non-refundable) is due at the end of auction. Jeep and title do not leave my possession until funds have cleared the bank. Jeep is sold as is/where is but I will try to help with shipping arrangements. Jeep is in excellent condition! You won't be disappointed. Any questions, just ask! |

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
The 2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer looks like a Grand Cherokee on steroids
Tue, Oct 18 2016It's a special day for Jeep fans. Thanks to the same dealer meeting leak that gave us a look at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, here is our first glimpse of the new Grand Wagoneer. When it arrives for 2019, this three-row crossover SUV will be the top model in Jeep's range. We knew the Grand Wagoneer would be expensive – Jeep CEO Mike Manley said not to rule out prices upwards of $130,000 for this Range Rover fighter – but now we know it looks like it wants to pick an actual fight with its competitors. What's visible of the front and rear styling is very reminiscent of the current Grand Cherokee, but it's muscled up a bit and gets a set of sinister seven-element headlights. The seven-light theme is carried to the rear as well, and we have a feeling the number is a not-so-subtle reference to the seven-slot grille that all Jeeps wear. That said, here the grille is a short, wide-mouth affair that is a bit of a departure from those of other models. And there's a lot of brightwork in these renderings, not just on the grille but for similar pieces that connect the exhaust tips in the rear and tow-hook surrounds up front. Either by design or engineering, the Grand Wagoneer also looks wider than the two-row Grand Cherokee. The Grand Wagoneer will be about the size of the Dodge Durango three-row crossover and will be based on the platform used by the next-generation Grand Cherokee. The GC and Durango currently share a platform based on one used by Mercedes for its large SUVs, and it is not yet known whether the new Jeeps will use an evolution of that platform or something new. Hemi V8 and diesel and gas V6 engines are the likely powertrain options, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a Hellcat-powered version of this mean-looking luxury SUV at some point. Or at least we can hope. Related Video: Featured Gallery 2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Dealer Leak Spy Shots Image Credit: KGP Photography Design/Style Spy Photos Jeep Crossover SUV
The Jeep Wrangler is finally getting modern headlights for 2017
Thu, Sep 1 2016Some of Jeep's headlights leave a lot to be desired – namely light output. In particular, the halogen lamps on the Wrangler and Cherokee have been called out by the IIHS as among the worst on the market. Things should improve for 2017, as Jeep is addressing the sorry illumination by adding LED or HID headlight options for the Wrangler, Cherokee, and Renegade. Thank heavens (or, you know, the IIHS for upping its lighting requirements). In the Wrangler's case, the decision to develop an LED for a single model year of the JK before its replacement arrives – or two if you count the extended run of the current model alongside the new one – might seem strange, but we aren't complaining. The current headlights are one retro cue that sorely needed eradicating, plus this almost guarantees LEDs for the next-gen model. Any 2017 Wrangler can be equipped with the new LED headlights and fog lights – the LED lighting group will be optional on the Sport and Sport S, and standard on Sahara and Rubicon. The Cherokee is a slightly different story – HID headlights are currently optional on that model's Limited and High Altitude trims and standard on the range-topping Overland. Next year, the brighter, more focused lamps will be standard on everything but the base Sport model, where they'll be optional. For the wee Renegade, meanwhile, HIDs are a "late availability" option as part of the safety and security group on Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trim levels. If you want a 2017 Renegade Sport with the better lights, though, you're out of luck. Jeep hasn't announced pricing for its 2017 offerings, so we don't know what sort of premium the LED and HID headlamps will add. We just know that whatever the price, it will be worth it. And you can bet each unit will have some sort of Easter egg Jeep design detail on it.
