2003 Jeep Wrangler X Sport 4x4
132,655 miles

Description: This Jeep in great condition, inside and out.  It was bought from a bank, and comes with a clean title, no liens, no reconstructed titles, no stories.  The vin number is available to everyone, and feel free to run it, I have nothing to hide.
It runs and drives great, I drove the Jeep myself, and it drives excellent.  Most Jeeps are known to be used for off roading or for some kind of adventure driving, we checked this Jeep over and it DOES NOT show any signs of off roading or mudding. The tires mismatch from front to rear, but have some life left, and don't need to be replaced immediately.

Engine/Transmission: It is equipped with a V6 4.0
Engine runs strong it starts up every time with no problem, no hesitation. It does not throw any codes; no check engine lights, no air bag lights, the dash DOES NOT look like a christmas tree.  If you are familiar with these engine, then you know they can run easy 200k+ miles.  It is equipped with a 5 speed MANUAL transmission, the clutch works perfect, and it shifts into gears like butter, it does not grind gears, and it does not smell like a burnt clutch.  For most of the people who like to off road these trucks, prefer a manual transmission for the power and control it gives.  Time to time when you turn the wheel fully out, you may hear a power steering whine, but it doesn't happen all the time, and I feel like the more you drive it the less it is, it is not leaking, it may be nothing, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.  Otherwise the truck is sound and runs excellent.

Cosmetics; Interior/exterior: It is black so yes minor surface scratches are visible, but there is no major damage around the car or even heavy enough scratches for me to mention, its actually in great shape all around. There is no rust on the body the only paint blemishes I noticed are by the rear door hinges, and some paint chips by the edge of the rear trunk area, if you look at the pictures you will see. There are a few MINOR dings on the hood, which I tried taking pictures of but hard for the camera to catch.  The soft top is in OKAY condition and , it ripped on the edge of the zipper in the rear. Interior the car is in good shape with normal wear, like most Jeeps there are small cracks on both side of the door panels, you can easily see it in the pictures I took, but it isn't anything major.  The seats are not ripped, and the carpet is in tact, there is no foul odors in the truck, or any rips, it is missing the rear seat tho.  The A/C and heat work perfect, as well as all the electronics such as the radio and speakers.

2014 Jeep Cherokee dreams of Moab, crawls on stage [w/video]

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

The all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee inched its way onto the stage at the New York Auto Show today, proving that at least the "Trail Rated" version of the SUV is more than just a controversial unique odd fresh face in the mid-size segment. After the short, simulated Moab run by the Trailhawk model, the gray four-door was joined on the stage by a burgundy Limited model - the luxurious highway variant.
As a recap, the all-new 2014 Cherokee rides atop a modular Alfa Romeo-derived platform (we know it from the Dodge Dart) and will be offered in both front- and all-wheel drive models with a choice between a 2.4-liter four-cylinder (rated at 184 horsepower) and a new 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 (developing 271 horsepower) engine. A nine-speed automatic is standard and no less than three different all-wheel drive systems are available.
Of the four different models (Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk), we like the rugged looks and capabilities offered by the Trailhawk the best. Overlook the red tow hooks and check out its more aggressive wheel/tire package, flared fenders, reduced breakover angle and lack of brightwork in our gallery of live images from the New York show. Skid plates and off-road capable tires round out the package. Read all the details in the official press release below.

NYIAS: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, ooh-rah!

Tue, Apr 5 2016

I was very happy to see Jeep offer a stand-alone, off-road-oriented model to the Grand Cherokee for 2017, the Trailhawk. This is not the first time for a GC Trailhawk, as they offered a limited run a few years ago to see if there might be a market for such a model. Looks like there is, as there are Trailhawk models for the Cherokee and Renegade, and now the Grand Cherokee as well. Just to be clear here, Jeep has always offered off-road ready packages (tow hooks, one inch more ground clearance, skid plates) for the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee in the past. They were called "Up Country," or more recently, "Off Road" groups. That was all well and good but, at least where I was living, almost impossible to find. Rarely would you ever find one so-equipped on dealer lots. If you ever saw one on the street, most likely the owner special-ordered it. Having said that, now that I'm living by the beach, I am seeing a few Up Country-equipped older Jeeps; not many, but more than I've seen in the past. As to the new Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawks; I'm seeing a bunch of them. It took a little while for the public to discover this trim level, but now I see them everywhere. Must be the orange tow hooks? Speaking of orange tow hooks... I'm not a big fan of them. Tow hooks for sure, orange ones, not so much; same with the matte black hood decal, not a fan. If I were ever to get a Trailhawk, it would be either dark gray or black, as that effectively hides the hood decal. So Jeep has packaged the Trailhawk as a premium model within each respective model line. While I fully understand the thinking, I do wish Jeep would also offer an entry-level off-road model, one with all the Trailhawk off-road goodness, but minus all the visual and luxury fluff. A lot of off-roaders don't want to pay, or can't pay top dollar for stuff they don't want or need. As to a name, how about "Trail," that being Trailhawk minus the "hawk;" or perhaps "Pioneer?" That's an old name from Cherokees of yesteryear. Back then the Pioneer was positioned as a mid-low level model. I think either name would work well for a back-to-basics-off-road-focused Cherokee and/or Renegade. Content it like the current entry-level Sport or mid-level Latitude models, but include the Trailhawk's off-road prowess. The Grand Cherokee should probably pass on that suggestion, as it would run counter to that model's high-end image. Related Video: Image Credit: Jeep Jeep open road

Jeep first American carmaker to return to Tokyo show

Sat, May 23 2015

Despite foreign-brand car sales in Japan declining six percent in the first four months of this year, Jeep sales are up 21 percent in the same period. That could explain why Jeep will be the first the US manufacturer to return to the Tokyo Motor Show after eight years away. Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler walked away during the global crisis that struck after the 2007 show. Jeep will be part of an eight-vehicle, four-brand showcase overseen by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Japan, the local subsidiary. For the moment, it is the only US brand to sign up - neither Ford, GM, or even Chrysler are committed to attend. Stablemates Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Abarth will be there, along with 13 other foreign makes, answering the "Technology & Fantasy" theme for this year's event. In total, organizers announced 15 brands from 14 Japanese manufacturers, and 27 brands from 17 foreign carmakers. The show opens to the public from Oct. 30 to Nov. 8. Related Video:
