We are very proud to present to you this amazing 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara V6 4.0 4x4 with manual transmission and not equipped with factory A/C. These Wranglers are becoming harder and harder to find especially in this condition. It has been prepped and serviced at our onsite facility, it runs and looks amazing. It currently has 134,920 Actual miles and it has had two previous owners and as per autocheck it show previous accident which base upon our inspection it was very minor and only the fender flair on the passenger side was replaced and corner marker was replaced. It has a clean and clear Connecticut title which is ready to be registered anywhere. The body of the truck is clean and clear, it has one minor issue on the driver side door(see picture) and the interior is FLAWLESS with no major flaws or issues, and mechanically it is sound! This inline V6 4.0 when maintained properly like this one can exceed 300k with no issue, the manual transmission shifts perfectly with no grinding, chatter, or clutch issues at all! We recommend changing the rear tires. The under carriage is clean with normal surface rust NO ROT ANYWHERE! This Wrangler's undercarriage is clean and worry free. All components on the truck are working properly and this one will make you happy for many years to come. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.
Fiat 500X poised for Paris catwalk
Wed, 05 Feb 2014We've known for some time that the new, Fiat-based baby Jeep (which may or may not be called the Jeepster) is set to arrive at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. What we weren't sure of was whether its platform mate, the so-called Fiat 500X, would be doing so alongside or at a later date. Well, according to Reuters, we'll get to see the first all-wheel-drive 500 later this year in the City of Lights.
Yes, we can expect the 500X to arrive at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, according to an official with an Italian trade union. The unnamed source cited retooling at Fiat's Melfi factory, in southern Italy, which currently produces the Grande Punto. It's expected that the newest member of the growing 500 family will replace the Suzuki SX4-based Fiat Sedici, although when the X will go on sale remains an open question.
According to Reuters, both the Jeepster and 500X will be built alongside each other in Italy. Whether the 500X will cross the pond with it's slat-grilled cousin, though, remains to be seen (we're leaning towards yes).
