1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport Sport Utility 2-door 4.0l on 2040-cars

Hey guys so I have decided to put my Jeep up for sale. Its a second vehicle for me and with a few personal changes in my life I feel as if it is time for it to go. I've put blood, sweat, and tears into this jeep and it is by far the best jeep I have ever owned. Its a 1998 and the odometer just rolled 80K miles! And YES it is a 6CYL 5 SPEED! For all of you that know jeeps, the 4.0 is basically indestructible and this jeep is still a baby! It comes with half doors and incredibly rare HARD UPPERS! with sliding windows.
Here is a list of the mods Full Custom roll cage 4.5 inch rubicon express long arm lift (recently replaced all bushings!) 2 inch body lift T-case slip yoke eliminator Rear dana 44 Rear ECTED electric locker, brand new in rear just needs to be wired up 4.56 gears front and rear. D30 up front but beefed up alittle BIG Brake kit from Vanco (stopping is now longer a problem!) stainless steel brake lines 35" BFG Mud terrains with at least 65% tread left including full spare. Custom rear tire carrier and bumper Custom Front bumper and winch plate Quadratec 9500lb winch with synthetic line Kc lights on winshield-not wired up yet. 32" led light bar on hood! (lights up everything) Smittybilt rear tube fenders MCE Flatty front fenders Jk Turn signal Mod ORO offroad LED taillights Delta headlights Banks monster exhaust, sounds great I'm sure I am forgetting more... Also the whole jeep interior was stripped down and rhinolined the right way, dash was taken apart and painted behind it. Have pictures of the build process I can show you. The custom roll cage is also rhino lined. For a lifted jeep, this thing rides amazing on the road and highway. I personally have owned 5 jeep wranglers and none of them compare to the way this rides. I daily drove this jeep and had absolutely no problem with it. With the long arm kit and newer bushings, it handles the bumps and trails like a charm. You can not build a jeep like this for under $15,000! Save yourself money and buy this beauty. |

Federal grand jury issues subpoenas to U.S. FCA dealers
Wed, Jul 27 2016Despite an attempt to clarify and backtrack, it seems the investigation into Fiat Chrysler Automobile's false sales reporting is picking up steam. According to Automotive News, FCA dealers and regional offices have received subpoenas ordering them to supply documents and testimony to a grand jury in Detroit. Of course, the dealers are objecting to the request. They claim the subpoenas are too broad and would require them to hand over too much personal information, like personal phone numbers of dealer employees going back years. The group wants to make it clear that FCA has clarified its sales reporting and that the issue is with the manufacturer, not dealers. The dealers say that FCA employee records and testimony should be enough. It's rumored that a dealer group is the one that sparked the investigation in the first place. FCA confirmed on July 18 that it indeed was under investigation by a number of federal agencies. Although they've clarified their position regarding sales reporting, the fraud investigation continues full steam. Related Video:
Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new
Sun, 09 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
