Up for sale is this 1998 Jeep Wrangler SE. There have been three owners total for this 15-year old vehicle. Obviously, with the low miles it was rarely driven. I have included (in separate parts) an AutoCheck vehicle history report, which I took out when deciding whether or not to purchase the vehicle. When I realized it scored a 94 where similar vehicles score between 29-59, I knew I had a real beauty. Since purchasing the vehicle I've done some minor repairs such as changing out the sway bar link, swapping out the shifter boot, air filter, and all fluids. I was going to fit it with a lift kit and more appropriate wheels/tires, but decided to leave that up to the winning bidder as everyone's taste differs in this respect. Some fender flares would also be recommended.
The Jeep comes with a 2-piece hard top, half doors with hard upper door sliders. This top and door setup allows you to configure the Jeep in a variety of different ways as displayed in some of the pictures. The Jeep comes with the original books and wheels locks. The wheels are Gamblers, the tires are Bridgestone Insignias. The radio is an aftermarket Rockford Fosgate. With any Jeep this age, please expect some normal wear and tear and cosmetic imperfections. With that said, the interior is in fantastic shape.
If you have any questions or to schedule a time to view the Jeep (prior to the end of the auction), you can contact me @ 646.957.0573 until 8PM EST. The vehicle will be sold as is where is and there is no warranty expressed or implied. All NJ residents are required to pay 7% sales tax. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction's completion via PayPal or wire transfer, no exceptions. All inspections must be completed prior to the end of the auction. We do not offer temporary tags so you will need to make arrangements to ship the vehicle offsite. Please do not bid if you do not understand the terms of the auction, intend to complete the purchase of this vehicle, or have the funds to do so. Due diligence is your responsibility. This vehicle is also for sale locally & I reserve the right to end the auction early if vehicle has been sold. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Jeep Yuntu three-row crossover spied testing on public roads
Tue, Jan 2 2018Jeep is doing very well, especially compared to most other FCA brands. Still, there's a three-row sized hole in the automaker's lineup. In April 2017, the Jeep Yuntu made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. While that plug-in hybrid was just a concept, we now have a second set of spy shots showing that a road-going Yuntu is deep into development. Even with the black and white camouflage, there's no mistaking this for anything other than a Jeep. The new model looks like a larger Grand Cherokee with styling elements cribbed from the new Compass and refreshed Cherokee, though the profile unsurprisingly reminds us of the Dodge Durango (essentially a three-row Grand Cherokee). The thin headlights and taillights have made it over from the concept, though both are toned down for the production version. A three-row Jeep is all but officially confirmed for the US. The real question is what it will be called. We doubt Americans will fall head over heels for a American vehicle named the Yuntu. Reviving the Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer nameplates seems far more likely. We can only speculate on powertrains, but considering the Yuntu concept was a plug-in hybrid, expect some flavor of electrification. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.
New 2018 Jeep Wrangler is definitely a Jeep Wrangler
Wed, Mar 29 2017Jeep is hiding details on the new Wrangler about as well as a colander holds water. The good people over at JL Wrangler Forums have managed to get ahold of some new images of the next-gen Wrangler. Surprise! It looks exactly how we expected it to look. These new images give us our best view yet, showing a number of details that we couldn't even glean from spy photos. Enthusiasts can put down their pitchforks. The Wrangler can still go topless. The two images - one of the front and one of the rear - show off what appears to be a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. The second photo is notable since it finally confirms that the doors and roof are fully removable, a feature that some feared would disappear with the new model. It looks like a fixed roll cage will help strengthen the Wrangler and protect occupants in the case of an accident. Hinges up front mean the windshield is still able to fold forward as well. The rest of the Wrangler, though all new, just updates the Jeep's timeless design. Up front, the grille is canted rearward at the top, the fog lights move to the ends of the bumper, the turn signals move to the front of the fender, and the hood latches are pushed forward a bit. The windshield appears to be a bit more upright and less curved than the current model. Around the side, we can see new vents behind the rear fenders. The door hinges looks smaller, and the mirrors have integrated side marker lights. There is a new line that cuts below the windows, flowing to the rear of the Wrangler. At the back, we can see that the tail lights now wrap around to the Wrangler's side, though they still look like the square lights we've always had. There is no sight of a rear-mounted spare, but plenty of spy shots have shown that it should carry over, new backup camera and all. It also looks like the new mounting points for the roll cage should provide a bit more cargo space. Look for more news, images, and renders as the Wrangler's development moves along.
