1997 Jeep Wrangler

Today up for auction I have a nice 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The vehicle is Dark Blue. Clear Title. 171,000 miles on the OD. Runs and drives excellent, but does have a lifter tick on a cold start. This goes away after it warms up. The engine produces good power, and the transmission shifts in smooth and drives well. 4 wheel drive is in good working order. Vehicle is in good mechanical condition, all lights brakes and power steering work as they should. Both fenders have rust, as pictured. Rust has just started to show up on the passenger side rocker panel as shown. Has a 2" lift and is currently riding on 31x10.5x15. Tires have minimal tread left. Frame is solid. The soft top is less than a year old and in good shape. New cd player with AUX plug for MP3. If you would like any more pictures just ask and I will be happy to send you some. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability, please look closely at the pictures as the vehicle in the photos is the one you will receive.

China orders Jeep to investigate Wrangler fire risk

It's been some time since we've heard anything about fires related to the Jeep Wrangler (foreign or domestic), but it sounds like the go-anywhere SUV could be in hot water once again in China. Bloomberg is reporting that the Chinese government is ordering Jeep to investigate the matter and, in the meantime, also recommending Wrangler owners to not drive their vehicles in "extreme conditions" due to a "relatively high risk" of catching on fire.
There is no indication as to how many vehicles or which model years are affected, but the previous fire problems in both the US and China - which led to investigations but no recalls - were traced back to automatic transmission fluid leaks. The article, however, does not say what the potential problem is this time around as Jeep has not released a comment on the matter. The official notice, in Chinese, can be found here.
