1997 Jeep Wrangler with low mileage. I bought new tires a couple of months ago. Reason for the low miles? I have been the owner since 2006. At the time it had about 36,000 miles and an elderly couple owned it. Although I drive it daily, my roundtrip to work and back home is about four miles. With the exception of the past two months, the Jeep has been garage kept. The only things wrong with the Jeep are the rust spot on the hinge, the driver's seat is torn, and it does not have AC. The top is is good condition as it is a few years old. It also comes with a safari top. This Jeep is in great running condition and is very dependable. This Jeep is listed locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Chrysler recalls 468,700 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Commanders over rollaway risk
Mon, 13 May 2013Chrysler has issued a recall covering a combined 469,000 units of the 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2006-2010 Jeep Commander (inset). Of that number, 295,000 are in the US, roughly 33,000 in Canada and Mexico and the remainder in other markets. It seems an electrical fault in the transfer case can allow the affected SUVs to shift into neutral on their own, while an Associated Press report says that Chrysler had "found cracks in a circuit board that turns the four-wheel-drive system on and off." The issue was discovered when an owner started his car remotely and it rolled away.
Chrysler is expected to begin notifying owners in June 2013, who can then take their cars to dealers. The dealer will reflash the final drive controller free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.

Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.
