See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Jeep, starts, runs, drives and performs great. It has the original paint which still has a good shine but there are plenty of nicks, dings, scratches and blemishes as you should expect from a 21 year old vehicle, particularly a 4 WD Jeep. I stripped the interior and Rhino lined the floor, then installed a new carpet kit and Rugged Ridge deep tread floor mats. I painted all of the interior parts including the dash parts. The seats were originally a tan color and I painted them with a vinyl paint made for painting seats and they look good, but there are places where the paint is peeling and cracking. The Jeep sits in my garage sometimes for weeks at a time and doesn't leave any spots, but I was under it yesterday and noticed a drop of oil was about to leak from the rear axle. It drives down the road nice but I believe the front end needs to be looked at, likely it's time to replace ball joints, tie rod ends and bushings."

This is a good starting, running and driving Jeep. It's got 165,000 miles on the 4.0L fuel injected engine and 5 speed, and there are plenty of Jeeps out there that pass 300,000 miles so it's got plenty of life left. We bought if for my son as a project to work on and be his when he turned 16 so we just wanted a good looking Jeep for school and a little off roading from time to time. It had a little top end noise when I bought it and I replaced the rocker arms and bushings and that fixed it. It was leaking some oil around the valve covers so we replaced the gasket it at the same time and no more leaks. We put new plugs in, oil and filter, air filter, u-joints, new wiper motor and put on a new serpentine belt and that's about all we did under the hood. We focused on the interior by stripping it and Rhino lining the floor. It has a 3" body lift and shackles that give it about a 4" lift. It has 33x12.5x15 BF Goodrich TA Radials mounted on nice aluminum wheels. The tires have over 3/4 tread left. Then we put in the stereo. We mounted a JVC KD-R640 in the Tuffy center console. This has a locking cover and totally secures the tuner. Then we installed an overhead sound bar and 2 6x9 Kenwood 500 watt speakers in boxes that mount to the roll bar in the back. We wanted to mount a sub and amplifier but there aren't many options for this in a Jeep so we built a custom sub box that we mounted the amplifiers in. It's custom made to fit behind the rear seat This holds a 1,400 watt dual-voice coil subwoofer and a 3,600 watt Pyle Driver amp to push the sub and a 1,000 watt Lanzar amp to drive the sound bar and Kenwoods. This sub box has a hinged door and a lock to allow access and to secure it. The JVC has a front AUX port and USB port and a lot of great features including remote. The stereo sounds amazing but if you don't have a use for the subwoofer box and amplifiers and would like the space behind the seat back I'll take them out, rewire the speakers and soundbar directly off the stereo and give you some money off the purchase price. After all of the stereo wires were run we installed a full carpet kit. We repainted the seats with a black and red design using vinyl paint and painted all of the interior parts. We put in deep tread Rugged Ridge full mats in the back and matching Jeep logo mats in the front. We put in a diamond plate shifter plate on the hump and a custom boot cover in black and red to match our color scheme. We mounted aircraft style rocker switches with red covers and red LED lights to a diamond plate backing plate in the space where the stereo used to be in the dash. One of these switches is wired to the PIAA lights on the front chrome tube bumper and another to the Baja lights mounted on the windshield hinges. The other two are not wired to anything.  All the gauges work, even the 4 WD indicator light in the dash. We put in a solid cable to actuate the 4 WD because the vacuum system wouldn't engage. At this time the lever isn't mounted but I may have it mounted before the auction ends.  It comes with steel half doors and full Best Top soft top in great condition.

Jeep bringing two special-edition Renegades to the LA Auto Show

Thu, Nov 10 2016

Few manufacturers do limited edition runs like Jeep, which has released everything from a 75th Anniversary Edition Wrangler to a Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Renegade. The automaker is revealing two new versions of the Renegade next week at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show: a 2017 Jeep Renegade Deserthawk and a 2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude. The off-road ready Deserthawk starts at $28,140 and builds on the bones of the already capable Renegade Trailhawk. The extra $1,495 nets you an exclusive Mojave Sand paint option, hood, and rear panel decals. It also comes equipped with rock rails and the towing package. Inside, the Deserthawk comes with black leather seats, Light Frost stitching and accents, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo tray mat. As it's based on the Trailhawk, the Deserthawk comes with four-wheel drive, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Renegade Altitude, like the other Jeep Altitude models, essentially means black on black on black. It comes with 18-inch gloss black wheels with gloss black accents on the front and rear badges, grille rings and tail lamp rings. The black theme continues inside with black cloth seats and black gloss trim. The Altitude also features what Jeep calls Metal Diamond door handles and shift knob. Standard features include a backup camera and a keyless ignition. All that black gloss will set you back at least $22,390. Look for the Renegade pair to arrive in dealers soon. The Altitude will be available later in November while the Deserthawk hits showrooms in January. Related Video: LA Auto Show Jeep Crossover Off-Road Vehicles jeep renegade
