This is a Jeep Wrangler that My wife and I started to build and just don't have the time to finish. There are over 5100.00 in costs for parts not including labor. The Lime Green Sem Tintable bed liner is the durable finish to resist scratches in the mountains. We installed Basher bumpers so hitting animals wouldn't cause major damage. The top is a New Best Top soft top with soft doors with tinted windows. There are new seats OEM Style and New OEM Style risers. The back seat is new as well. The Transmission is Automatic but the detent downshift actuator rod is missing and therefore it has to rpm shift. This is hard on the engine and transmission. There is a new odometer/speedometer installed but it needs an adapter to properly fit into the transmission in order to function. The tires and wheels are new, they are Dick Cepeck Wheels with 31/1050 R15 Starfire All terrain tires. We also installed a B&M Rachet shifter and New Stainless steel hardware on all outside hinges and windshield mounts. We had a brand new exhaust system installed and New lenses for the rear lights. We installed a new Transmission Cooler and a 3" Body Lift as well as a new tub liner with road noise barrier insulation. We were going all out on this jeep and it was going to be our toy, but plans change and time marches on. I would recommend changing out the drive train to a GM or Ford setup for a couple very good reasons. The first is fuel economy, this jeep only gets 12 to 14 mpg and the other reason is it would give better overall performance and more available parts. This is a sharp looking jeep and you could drop your own drivetrain in and drive it to graduation. We drove it some and it is a real attention getter, folks would often yell Nice Jeep! Hopefully someone out there has a drive train to drop into this baby so it can be enjoyed. Thank you for looking in on our Jeep for sale. Dave and Shannon D&S Country Designs

Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
Here's why you shouldn't try to drift a Jeep Cherokee
Tue, Nov 25 2014This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. There are many reasons why an XJ-generation (or really any other) Jeep Cherokee doesn't make for a good drift machine. It's tall, it's four-wheel-drive... it's a Jeep, okay? But someone apparently forgot to tell that to this guy. Uploaded to LiveLeak, this video shows some poor schmuck who took his Cherokee to a (mostly) empty parking lot and tried to drift it. Needless to say, things didn't go quite as he planned, but they probably went exactly as you might have expected. Thankfully, nobody appears to have been hurt. Or at least, we assume so, since the guy apparently survived to put the video up online.
Retro Review covers that Jeep Wrangler TJ you wanted in high school
Fri, May 8 2015The Jeep Wrangler TJ holds a dear place in my heart. When they were introduced, the return to circular headlights helped pull my dad into the dealer, and he bought one. A few years later, I learned how to drive a stick in that Jeep. Now, MotorWeek has fired up the time machine for a look at the '97 Wrangler as part of the Retro Review series. One of the great things about these videos is that they offer a chance to see if nostalgia lives up to reality. In this situation, that seems to be the mostly case. Even when new, MotorWeek finds a lot to praise about the TJ, especially in terms of handling and style. It's not all perfect, though, with a major complaint about the braking. Watch the clip to see if the show's take on the Wrangler lives up to your memories of them, too.
