Up for auction is one of the CLEANEST Jeep Wranglers you'll find.  I am the second owner, and I purchased it from the original owner about 5 years ago with about 63K original miles.  It has been stored indoors and babied it's entire life.  Never seen salty winter roads or been beaten off road like most Jeeps.  Previous owner did motor swap to Chevy LT1 and 4L60E from a wrecked vehicle.  I had that motor removed and a JASPER Motors LT1 installed professionally less than 1000 miles ago.  I have only run full synthetic in the motor and have changed the oil twice since the new install.  All original gages work and the Chevy to Jeep wiring was done seamlessly.  The interior is perfect, even the original carpets are still installed.  No rust anywhere inside, outside or underneath.  The entire under body was coated when the vehicle was new.  I don't think you'll find a cleaner '92.

Some of the other details:
-LT1 w/ 4L60E transmission
-Custom Aluminum Radiator w/ auto electric fan
-Howell Engine Developments ECU
-NP231 Transfer Case
-JKS Sway Bar Disconnect
-Skyjacker 4 inch lift
-Rancho RS9000 shocks
-Custom Drive Shafts
-(5) 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws
-Brand New Battery
-Newer (1 year) Bestop Soft Top w/ tinted windows
-Bestop Bikini top
-(5) 15 inch American Racing aluminum wheels
-Husky Liners floor mats
-Trailer wiring w/ receiver

I'm probably leaving some items out.  If there are specific questions or parts of the Jeep you would like a picture of, contact me and I can email/text whatever you'd like.  The only minor defect is the rear passenger corner has a small dent from where I backed in to the basketball pole at the house.  I will drop 150.00 off the price at the end of the auction to cover this.

You won't be disappointed with this Jeep.  If you live close I could meet you somewhere to look it over.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Watch this 9-year-old drive Jeep Wrangler off-road [w/poll]

Wed, 28 May 2014

This nine-year-old girl might be better at rock crawling than some people twice her age. But is it worth putting her in danger to do it? According to her father on the Jeep Experience Facebook page, her name is Faith, and she has been offroading with her family since she was two. At nine years old, she's now driving her dad's Jeep over the rocks by herself.
As you can see she's belted in and under her father's direct supervision and guidance. She shows immense confidence for someone her age and follows her dad's instructions on exactly what to do. Although, this could still be a very dangerous situation if something went wrong.
Previously, we saw a similar video with a six-year-old on a motorcycle driving on public roads through the desert. Voters decided by only a six-point margin that the adult should be in trouble for letting the kid ride the bike. Here, we have a slightly older child driving a vehicle off road. Where do you fall in this case? Is it still wrong to hand over control to a child? Let us know in the poll below and scroll down to watch the video.

Jeep idles second shift it hired a month ago for 2014 Cherokee

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

In an unusual move, Chrysler is idling its recently hired second shift of 2014 Jeep Cherokee builders because, Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said in a statement, it already has built the "critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released," Automotive News reports.
After the "critical" 9,430 Cherokees were built, the layoff was enacted so as not to strain the automaker's logistics partners before the Cherokee is actually released. Chrysler says the temporary layoff will last about two weeks, with 500 workers out of work and another 600 reassigned at the Toledo Assembly Complex where the sports utility vehicle was being built. The second-shift workers were hired on August 19.
Chrysler previously insisted that it would release the Cherokee to dealerships by the end of the third quarter, and it initially planned to start selling the SUVs in mid-August. Apparently the Cherokee needed a software fix before hitting showrooms, which is how Chrysler explains why the release schedule is out of whack. We're thinking that this software fix addresses the "powertrain calibration" issue that delayed the first media test drives of the model. According to the Toledo Blade, Chrysler has admitted it is doing "extended quality validation testing" but refused to provide more information.
