Todays NO reserve auction is for the nicest Grand Wagoneer that I have in my collection and I personally own two of the 40 thousand dollar Wagonmasters. This was a one owner truck with low low miles and no rust on it when I bought it back in 2007. Since then it has been kept in climate controlled storage. This truck was driven 58k the first 6 years of its life and 24k the last 18 yrs. No Autocheck reports are included in my auctions for some reason I think eBay hates me, but I bought one for the truck and can forward to you if you like. This truck has been repainted the correct Dover Grey that came on it from the factory. Only reason for the repaint is that it had a clear coat problem as they all do. This truck has zero rust. The wood grain on the side is in near perfect condition other than slight lifting by the gas door, and a few tiny scratches. All the marker lights are brand new along with the window wipes. The Jeep has the SEV Marchal fog lamps and all original grille and surround. This Jeep is absolutely stunning!
The interior is as perfect as you will find on any 1989 Grand Wagoneer that has not been completely restored. The cordovan leather is very soft and supple; as soon as you sit in it you think you have gone back in time. The only part of this Jeeps interior that is not original is the headliner. The original cargo cover is in place and is in excellent condition. All carpet is original no aftermarket replacement on this one. The original floor mats still protect the carpet as well and are perfect no holes and only slight wear. Original radio also in this one. Lots of guys tell you about the great mp3 radios in theirs, but guess what, that’s depreciation to the value of the Jeep. But if you must have one the glove box is the perfect place to mount one and still retain the factory look. This Wagoneer has the overhead console also which is one of the things that make the 89 to 91 Jeeps the cr`eme of the crop other than the rear wiper. Oh and by the way this Jeep has never been smoked in and hope it never will be.
Now to the drive train of course not much was needed here. The carburetor was rebuilt not replaced there again all original truck. The truck was then tuned with only the best of parts available, new cap, button, wires, ignition module and plugs. All new air filter, oil filter, and the oil was changed with quality Amsoil 5w30 since most of these trucks I have sold lately have went to the colder climate states. A compression test was done at time of tune up and all cylinders were between 143 and 150. So with less than a 5 percent difference between cylinders there’s many more miles to go with this one. There is no pretty chrome or anything like that on the motor it’s all bone stock as it was when it left the Toledo plant in 1989. The AC has not been converted it’s still an R12 system. Just like most everything else on the Jeep it’s like it came from the factory.
Ok other than what has been stated earlier this Jeep has all new metal brake lines, new rotors, new drums, new pads, new shoes, new wheel cylinders ,so just about everything to do with the brake system is new and was completely flushed.
The tires are brand new Hankook 70 thousand mile rated whitewalls with less than 2 miles on them. Even have stickers still on them. The brakes and tires alone were over 2000 dollars. The muffler and tailpipe are brand new as well. I also had all four of the shocks replaced as well.
OK now for the part that must be posted a 1000 dollar deposit must be made within 24 hours of auctions end. The remainder due must be paid by cash or bank wire. Sorry but if you have less than 10 feedback you must ask BEFORE you bid. If you would like a bid for shipping please email K12racer@aol.com. I have used Liles Transport several times and the past and David will ship it worry free. I wouldn’t recommend him if I didn’t trust him with a truck of this value. If any other questions feel free to email, my email goes directly to my iPhone so I usually respond within minutes. There is no buy it now , but if you must have it make an offer but no I won’t end auction for a 10k offer. Remember this is a NO reserve auction and this Jeep will be sold. |

Jeep Wrangler won't get those cutout half doors after all
Tue, Mar 20 2018Let's just make one thing clear right off the bat: If you want to go off-roading and you want an open-air experience, a Jeep Wrangler is probably the right vehicle for you. Really, the Wrangler has always been about enjoying the outdoors with as little between its occupants and the great outdoors as legally possible. That's why the top comes off, the doors stay home, and the windshield folds flat. All that said, however, one cool bit of show-car desirability reportedly won't make into production. Those crazy cutout doors that caught so much attention at the Wrangler JL's debut at the L.A. Auto Show won't be available from Jeep. For now we're reporting this as a rumor, but the report from Jalopnik seems legit. We have a request for comment in to Jeep and will report with confirmation when we hear back. Apparently — and despite the fact that the doors appeared on otherwise production-spec Wrangler models shown to the media and public show goers — Jeep says the cutout half doors were "always a prototype." In the end, traditional half doors were deemed the best option for production. We don't really disagree with the notion that traditional half doors are a better idea than the "prototype" cutout doors, especially considering how much effort went into making the JL Wrangler's doors easier to remove than past versions. Plus, the aftermarket is rife with accessory doors and panels to choose from if the regular or optional half doors aren't to your liking. Still, we're sure some Wrangler JL intenders were looking forward to those unique donut-style metal doors, and so we must pass the disappointment in their direction. Jeep mixed a CJ, a TJ, and a JK to make this sweet retro CJ66
Tue, Nov 1 2016What do you get when you mash-up a CJ and two Wranglers? Jeep calls it the CJ66, its concept for the 2016 SEMA show. It's a Frankensteined machine done right, another in a long line of fantasies from the back rooms at Jeep. A lot of donor vehicles were sacrificed for this one. The body came from a 1966 Jeep CJ – hence the name – and then was modified to fit on a Jeep Wrangler TJ chassis. The finishing touches, such as the bumpers and lights, come from the current Wrangler JK, and the hood was modeled after a JK's, too. The CJ66 has plenty of other neat details throughout as well, such as the vintage-style V8 badges on the fenders, the chains on the dropdown tailgate, and the custom hood latches. Also, like several other FCA SEMA concepts this year, it gets a pair of Dodge Viper seats. We're suckers for Viper seats. View 17 Photos The custom body also hides some impressive off-roading gear. There's a Warn winch tucked behind the front bumper, as well as an on-board tire inflation system, which makes it easy to deflate and inflate tires as the terrain requires. The truck also has 35-inch off-road tires on readily available wheels, front and rear differential lockers, and a custom roll cage and rock sliders. As you may have guessed from the V8 badges, this CJ66 also packs an octet of pistons. The 5.7-liter Hemi engine (or 345 cu. in. for traditionalists) makes 383 horsepower, and was installed using Mopar's new engine swap kit. The engine is hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to Dana 44 axles front and rear. We have a feeling it will handle just fine on the trails. First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
