THose are the only two electrical problems I have noticed.-Hood ornament is missing."

For sale is my 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This vehicle isn't the prettiest Wagoneer out there, but it is reliable and in pretty good condition for the age of the vehicle. I've been driving this for a few weeks with my only complaint being the A/C needs a recharge. All electrics in the truck work except for the mirror controls and cruise control, all windows including the rear tailgate window roll down. The tires are new with less than 1,000 miles. The interior is in above average condition for the age with no cracks on the dash, the driver seat has a rip but all other seats are in good condition. The steering wheel leather is starting to deteriorate, so I will be providing a leatherette lace up repair kit that I bought but haven't installed yet. The rear view mirror adhesive came off so the mirror currently isn't attached, but is in fine condition. The Truck is set up to work with a Uniden car phone(how retro!) haha.

The body condition is solid, with small surface rust around the truck, the only serious rust I've noticed is behind the rear wheels. The frame is solid and not rusted out. I just had this truck checked out by a local mechanic who is familiar with older vehicles and I was in the shop with him so I got a good look at the undercarriage, it does leave a quarter size drop of oil on the ground, but that's it. He was surprised how little it leaked. While he was under the truck he greased all the zerts he could find. The truck doesn't smoke, it shifts fine and goes into 4x4 easily.  After a drive he said that I had a good old truck, and with your normal upkeep he said it would be a good reliable daily. I just drove 200 miles on the interstate at 70mph the whole way with no problems, the steering is straight and doesn't wobble at high speed. The only reason I'm selling is because I can't afford to put gas in it and I know that with a little work someone could have a really nice classic 4x4, so I'd rather see someone else enjoy it.

If anyone has any questions or wants more detailed pictures please just let me know! Thanks for looking

I require full payment through paypal no later than one week after the end of the auction, please contact me if that's a problem.
I will not deliver the vehicle, but I can hold it if shipping arrangements are made by the buyer.
The truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to delete this post at any time.

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Jeep bringing Renegade Hard Steel with adorable matching trailer to Geneva

Sun, Mar 1 2015

Trailers are hardly an uncommon site. They can, after all, be an effective way of adding cargo capacity when you need to haul more than you can fit in your car and truck. But there's something that just gets us about trailers made to match the vehicle behind which they're being towed. Like this one, attached to this unique Jeep Renegade. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show mere days from now, the Renegade Hard Steel concept is a joint effort between various elements of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, including Jeep, Mopar and the FCA Style Centre. It's based on the Trailhawk off-road model, but is distinguished by its unique metallic finish, offset by matte black trim and a full raft of available and custom Mopar accessories. Though Jeep has yet to show us what it looks like inside, it's said to have a specially coated leather finish. And of course there's that trailer. Designed to mimic the Renegade's rear-end styling, the appendage will be used on the floor of the Geneva Palexpo to showcase the vehicle's Uconnect Live infotainment system through an oversized pop-up touchscreen display that mirrors the new 5- or 6.5-inch display that'll soon be available on the littlest of Jeeps, offering streaming content including music, news, social media and traffic conditions. We have no indication that a similar trailer could be going into production (minus, of course, the infotainment stuff), but it's worth noting that Jeep has indeed done something similar before. Feel free to read more in the press release, below. Created by the Jeep brand, in collaboration with the Mopar brand and backed by the FCA Style Centre, the showcar "explores" the potential of a model that provides countless customization options, while also providing an outlook for potential future Mopar accessories dedicated to the new Renegade. Based on the Trailhawk - the off-road version of the range - the prototype is not a simple customisation in aftermarket but a design project that, with due respect to the peculiarities of original models, has led us to the creation of a unique and fascinating article.

Jeep gives Cherokee its yin and yang with Sageland and Urbane concepts

Sat, 19 Apr 2014

Among the design concepts Jeep has prepared for Beijing Motor Show this year are a pair of Cherokees dressed up in contrasting schemes.
In one corner we have the Sageland concept pictured above, drawing its inspiration from Shangri-La with an Ivory Peal tri-coat and bronze trim for the grille, fascia appliqués, roof rack, sunroof, mirror caps and exhaust tips. Inside it's all earth tones with light gray Nappa leather seats and red and blue top-stitching inspired by traditional Chinese themes.
Meanwhile the Urbane concept (pictured right) takes the Cherokee in a different direction with steel blue metallic paintjob and black accents. Inside it adopts the theme of Chinese calligraphy with Piano Black accepts and dark red Nappa leather.
