This 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is in great shape for its year! This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition, starts right up and drives great! Most everything on this vehicle is all original, and is in amazing condition for its age, this vehicle is reliable enough to be a daily driver and classic enough to be a head turner!
The engine and transmission appear to be all original and are in great working condition, carburetor has been reconditioned at some point and normal maintenance appears to have been performed. Transmission shifts smoothly with no fluid leaks, brakes all are in good working condition, 4WD works as it should, the AC system is also original and is nice and cold!
The interior is in great shape for its age, driver seat shows some cracking, otherwise all the seats are in nice shape, carpet is original and in good condition, as is the rest of the interior. There is one spot in the rear cargo area that has some discoloration, otherwise its quite nice inside.
Body is in good shape, no rust on the underside of the vehicle, there may have been some rust repair at some point as the paint on the roof is a different shade starting at about 1/3 of the way down the roof. It feels solid though and doesn't appear to have any existing problems. Paint shines very well, as you can tell the woodgrain decals need to be replaced, but its still a good looking vehicle.
There are some areas that we know of that need attention. The power windows all work but the motors sound like they are really laboring hard to put the windows up and down, it seems that the guides for the windows need to be lubricated or maybe some window motors replaced. The power locks work, though sometimes the driver door actuator does not work. Also it seems that a lot of the weatherstripping should be replaced as it is dried out. Also the interior switch for the tail gate window does not work, but it does work from the key switch in the tail gate. I'm sure there are a few other small things that I've forgotten about but this vehicle is in great running and driving condition.

2015 Jeep Renegade

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

It's no secret that the midsize crossover segment is one of the most hotly contested battlegrounds in the automotive industry. Long have vehicles like the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 duked it out for those ever illusive consumer dollars. For many customers, though, even something like a Nissan Rogue is too big, whether in terms of price, fuel economy or just plain size.
For those customers, a growing market segment seems poised to fulfill their needs. Compact crossovers and tall wagons like the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul offer the high-riding driving experience with all the utility that comes from their two-box layout. It's an underrepresented segment among manufacturers, with big names like Toyota, Ford, General Motors and Honda lacking a true competitor.
To capitalize on this growing class, Chrysler's Jeep brand has readied this: the Renegade. That's right. Not Jeepster - Renegade. This diminutive off-roader, which rides on Fiat Chrysler's new small-wide 4x4 architecture, represents Jeep's first foray into the subcompact CUV segment as we know it, and it's making its official debut this week, on the floor of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Join us as we take a close look at one of Jeep's most important products in some time.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
