For sale we have a super RARE and hard to come by in such low mileage 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Turbo DIESEL 4x4. This clean and very well kept and maintained, great shape, Trail Rated, 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD 4X4 turbo diesel SUV has been thoroughly checked out by our diesel techs, serviced and IS ready to go! The Liberty's body is tall, providing the driver with a commanding view of the road ahead. As you can see by the many detailed photos taken, the dark blue metallic exterior shines! Very clean, looks real nice. The "Gray/Neutral" interior is in very good shape, no rips, no burns or tears. Nice design and quality build materials. The seats are comfortable, firm and supportive. The rear seat backs fold to create a large, convenient cargo area to haul around groceries or items from your local do-it-yourself stores! This Jeep Liberty has a roomy interior that can accommodate five passengers. Just sitting in this Liberty gives you a sense of spaciousness. I have personally driven this Jeep and the air conditioning is ice cold, the 2.8L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine is suprisingly satisfying, she runs strong, really smooth and has plenty of torque(295 ft. lbs.) when called upon. This engine uses an advanced common rail direct injection fuel system, which, according to Jeep, is more efficient than a pre-chamber indirect injection configuration. The injection system requires fuel delivery pressures almost 70 percent higher than normal distributor pumps can supply. The pump is driven by a cog belt off the camshaft to deliver fuel at close to 24,000 psi. The injectors on the new CRD Diesels have to be manufactured to even more precise standards, allowing fuel to burn more completely. The result is a lot less smoke, better mileage and better power. The smooth shifting, 5-speed automatic transmission, depending on throttle input, can deliver two separate second-gear ratios, a lower ratio for quicker acceleration, a taller one for smooth downshifts. She features, very good condition tires, 4X4, turbo diesel engine, 16" alloy wheels, front hitch provisions, single-action swing-gate/flipper-glass system, tilt, leather steering wheel with cruise controls, fog lights, front air bags, 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, spare tire in great shape, jack, tinted glass, tachometer, rear wiper, rear defogger, accent stripes, power locks, mirrors, windows, rear door child locks, folding rear seats, 5-speed automatic transmission, keyless entry, cruise control, roof rack, CD player and much more! Solidly constructed, the Liberty offers quick, precise steering with moderate effort and produces a pleasant overall feel. This Liberty was very well maintained by the previous owner and it is ready for its new owner.
Gil's Garage up in New York did a lot of work to this jeep and they recently changed: Camshaft seals, Coolant Flush, Timing Belt, Serpentine Belt, Tensioner + Pulley, Water pump were all done at 100,970 miles on 6-3-2014 by Gil's Garage NY. This is a huge service and you do not have to worry about it until the truck hits 200-K miles! Why buy a lower mileage one and spend the money to do this job when you can get this one and no worry about it for another 100-K! This is not your typical jeep with issues, this CRD will surprise you at how nice it drives and how well has been cared after! If you like what you see you will not be disappointed at this clean and well cared after Liberty. Fly down and drive it home with no worries whatsoever.

The joint development of the new Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X goes to show what the combined efforts of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group can yield. But don't expect the Italian-American automaker to stop there. According to Autocar, the company is planning to base another pair of larger SUVs on the same platform. The Jeep version would take the place of the previous Compass and Patriot, slotting in between the Renegade and Cherokee. Meanwhile, the Fiat version would further bolster the Cinquecento lineup to sit alongside the 500 hatchback, 500L minivan and 500X crossover. Details remain few and far between at the moment, but they wouldn't be the extent of the growth plans for either brand. Jeep is reportedly zeroing in on a decision on the long-rumored sub-Renegade model, while also preparing to expand up-market with the return of the Grand Wagoneer. Fiat is reportedly abandoning the prospect of offering a full model line as it once did. While the 500 range will continue to form a vital part of the brand's business, it's also tipped to be going after the no-frills, bare-bones market dominated by Renault's Dacia brand. To that end, it would seek to build upon the Panda by offering a larger, but still low-cost hatchback to rival the Ford Focus and VW Golf, and succeed the discontinued Fiat Bravo, but based on the 500L's platform and built in Turkey to keep costs down. This second pillar of the Fiat brand wouldn't likely be offered in the US, however, where we'd expect the 500 line to continue representing the Italian automaker. Related Video:

Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed. Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler. Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.

Jeep fans, you're not out of the woods yet, but the latest news is good: Automotive News reports that the next-generation Wrangler will stick with floating solid axles front and rear. Fiat-Chrysler wouldn't comment on the report, but the theory is that the combination of cost, capability, and ease of modification were deciding factors. We're sure the multibillion dollar aftermarket industry is also pleased. Remember, Jeep showed off the lifted Cherokee Dakar Concept at the Easter Jeep Safari last year, but the first ingredient in the recipe for jacking up its independent suspension was, "a whole new suspension." Above that there will be an aluminum body that's smaller than the current one, which Allpar says could be done with a narrower track and tighter gaps. It will sport a fixed windshield with increased rake to improve aero efficiency, and while there are rumors of a diesel-engined version that we'll finally get in the US, there's been no reliable info as of yet to back that up.
