There are a handful of very small scratches on the gray wheel surrounds and one shallow scratch in the red paint on the front passenger side that has been touched up by a body shop. (Not noticeable from afar but you can see it up close.) Interior in great shape, has been shampooed frequently. Brakes have been replaced, as have all window regulators. Some brake calipers have also been replaced."

2006 Jeep Liberty available, Kelley Blue Book value $10,504 - $10,879.  This is a one owner vehicle - it was purchased new in April 2006. We recently moved to California & as much as we've loved the Jeep, we no longer need 2 4-wheel-drive vehicles like we used to back in the Northeast!

This vehicle is in very good to excellent shape.  There are some very small scratches on the gray parts around the wheels (these are plastic and scratch easily), as well as one exterior scratch on the front passenger side that has had touch-up paint applied to it by a body shop.  There is also a small amount of what looks like corrosion on the spare tire and also a tiny amount on the regular tires (see pics.)  I'm not sure what it is, as it appeared five years ago and has not gotten any worse.  It used to be garaged in an area where ice melt was used, so maybe a batch reacted poorly with the surface of the tire rims at some point?

Interior is in great shape, as I have had it shampooed regularly.  All the floor mats are still there (though not shown in the picture).

All of the window regulators have been replaced (they are one of the parts that most often fails on the Jeep.)  The brakes have also been replaced, as well as some brake calipers (rear passenger side.)  No accidents.  Up to date on servicing and oil changes.  Unfortunately my record-keeping for it is not great as we were intending to have it for years and drive it into the ground - and not expecting to move to California!  I can help facilitate an independent inspection.

In terms of payment, we would need a $1,000 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of winning. Final sale via bank certified cashier's check or cash.

Jeep lays out 5-year plan, including rebirth of Grand Wagoneer and new C-segment offering

Tue, 06 May 2014

Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Machionne presented a five-year plan for the company brands this morning, with Jeep first up on a long day of presentation. Jeep's head honcho Michael Manley wasted no time in laying out what the foreseeable future will look like for what he calls the "lead global brand" of the company.
Big goals for the next half-decade will include expanding the lineup from five nameplates built in one country, to six nameplates build in six countries. That expansion of models will include both a three-row competitor, and, of course, a small vehicle to slot below Cherokee. The company is also seeking to add a whopping 1,300 dealers over the next few years, to sell all this new metal, and has an aggressive goal of doubling Jeep sales by the time 2018 rolls around.
As expected, that first salvo from the off-road brand will be the debut of the much ballyhooed Renegade small crossover in the third quarter of this year. Jeep has already designated that Renegade will get refreshed for the 2017 model year, as well.

China orders Jeep to investigate Wrangler fire risk

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

It's been some time since we've heard anything about fires related to the Jeep Wrangler (foreign or domestic), but it sounds like the go-anywhere SUV could be in hot water once again in China. Bloomberg is reporting that the Chinese government is ordering Jeep to investigate the matter and, in the meantime, also recommending Wrangler owners to not drive their vehicles in "extreme conditions" due to a "relatively high risk" of catching on fire.
There is no indication as to how many vehicles or which model years are affected, but the previous fire problems in both the US and China - which led to investigations but no recalls - were traced back to automatic transmission fluid leaks. The article, however, does not say what the potential problem is this time around as Jeep has not released a comment on the matter. The official notice, in Chinese, can be found here.
