This 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee belongs to my girlfriend. I have taken it over because the reverse gear went out and we had to get her a new car. My mechanic just installed a Transmission with only a 115,000 miles on it. Everything runs and works great again. She just installed 4 new Michelin tires on the Jeep all measuring just above 9/32nds tread from inside to out. If you look at the picture of the tread measuring tool the tread is equal to the amount of metal showing on the bottom of the tool. All the power door locks, windows, heat/ AC and Power seat work. This jeep runs great but keep in mind its used with a 185K miles on it. She was not a smoker and has no pets, so it doesn't smell funky either. Over all it is a very nice jeep. the hood can be re painted for $150.00 if you want me to have it done; I don't mind for $200.00 to cover the gas to and from the body shop. Oh ya, It gets 18MPG which isn't bad for a 4x4 SUV, she also has all the oil change documents as well. She took really good care of the Jeep so don't be scared to bid bid bid.... good luck and congratulations to the winner!! Jeep reveals annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts

Jeep has unveiled its annual spate of concepts before the Easter Jeep Safari. Those start with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept (below left), complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Mopar Recon (below right) packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 good for 470 horsepower. All that grunt gets to the ground via a five-speed automatic transmission and a set of a Dana 60 axles frond and rear with 4.10 gears. The Recon also makes use of a 4.5-inch prototype long-arm kit and a set of prototype eight-lug bead lock wheels.
The Wrangler Stitch (below left) builds on the momentum of the Wrangler Pork Chop Concept. Engineers once again set out to strike as much weight as possible from the vehicle, and actually managed to trim the curb weight down to 3,000 pounds. That effort has given the machine the same power to weight ratio as the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Plenty of carbon fiber, door deletes and a chrome moly roll cage all help trim those pounds, and a set of DanyTrac Pro Rock 44 axles with 4.88 gears and ARB lockers front and rear let this machine scramble over whatever is in its path.

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long.
