Like new original owner 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with all the bells and whistles. This has every option except the dvd player w/ screens. Towing package, panorama sunroof, navigation and adaptive cruise control etc. Comes with owners manual, both key fobs and window stickers. We bought this new for my wife last May and used it sparingly until the end of September. We then put it into storage and just took it out now. It has never been driven in rain or snow or dirt. Only reason we are selling it is because we are building a house and are going over budget (go figure). The SRT has 4850 miles on it and it looks and smells new. Basically like buying a new one. No accidents or mishaps. Mobile 1 0-40 oil change with SRT filter done shortly after break in. Billet oil catch can was put on as soon as we got the Jeep home. We also purchased a 7 year 70K mile warranty which will go along with the Jeep if the new buyer wants it. I will help with delivery for the cost of fuel and expenses. Inexperienced Jeep driver buries his Wrangler at sea
Mon, May 16 2016There's an old maxim in off-roading that states, "Four-wheel drive doesn't keep you from getting stuck, it just gets you stuck in worse places." The truth of this statement was perfectly illustrated recently in a YouTube video of a Jeep Wrangler digging its own grave at the beach. On May 11, a YouTuber named Dan M uploaded a video he titled, "Drunk guy doesn't know how to off-road and ruins nice Jeep." The video, shot at dusk on a rocky looking beach, shows a blue Wrangler driving out into the surf without a care in the world. Dan, providing commentary along with an unseen female companion, was impressed with the Jeep driver's dash at first. "Wow, he must do that a lot because he ain't scared of getting stuck or anything," said Dan. As the Wrangler got deeper into the water, the Dan's friend expressed her doubts that the Jeep driver would make it out, especially when the Jeep got snagged on a little spit of sand sticking out into the water. Dan wasn't worried, however. "No, he'll manage to get out of there, he'll make it out of there. He'll back out and get out," he said. Dan's confidence in the Jeep driver was sadly misplaced, unfortunately. The driver managed to get the Jeep stuck on the sand bar then made the rookiest of rookie mistakes–he just gunned it. "Oh man, he's done! He's done!" yelled Dan as the Jeep driver proceeded to dig a huge hole in the sand that sunk the Wrangler up to its frame just as the tide started coming in. With that kind of dunking, especially in salt water, that Wrangler was probably a total loss, much like the Grand Cherokee that got washed downriver last week somewhere in Europe. Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
