97 GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO IN GOOD SHAPE. I JUST WENT THROUGH AND GIVE A COMPLETE TUNE UP, NEW PLUGS, WIRES, CAP AND ROTOR, OIL CHANGE. NEW FUEL PUMP AND O2 SENSORS AND TIRES. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 230000, BUT I PUT A NEW BCM IN IT TWO WEEKS AGO TO FIX THE SECURITY AND THE MILEAGE IS STORED IN THE BCM, SO IT CHANGED IT FROM 157000. I HAVE ALSO PUT A NEW FRONT BUMPER COVER ON IT. HAS SOME HAIL DAMAGE, MOSTLY ON THE HOOD. THE TRAMSMISION DOES NOT LIKE TO SHIFT INTO SECOND GEAR, THE TRANNY SHOP SAID IT NEEDS A SHIFT SELONOID. The Wagoneer got the SUV on the radar of buyers looking for something capable, comfortable and rugged.
The Jeep Wagoneer was introduced 50 years ago, and it's that vehicle we have to thank for the herds of excellent crossovers and SUVs that make up our current automotive landscape. On a personal level, I have always loved the full-size Jeeps and their crisp Brooks Stevens styling, which aged well over their long tenure on the market. The SJs, as they're known among enthusiasts, were the Wagoneer and its two-door counterpart, the original Cherokee. The Wagoneers had become true luxury vehicles by the end of their run, which stretched form late 1962 as a '63 model all the way to 1991, when they were offered exclusively under the Grand Wagoneer nameplate.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models

Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
