1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lifted 2" W/ 33 Goodyear Kevlar Tires on 2040-cars
Akron, Ohio, United States
I am selling a 1995 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition w/ a 2' Body lift. It is sitting on 33" Goodyear Kevlar Tires that have about 90% tread on them. The tires alone cost $1,000.00. Within the
last 2 years I have had the water pump replaced, starter, alternator, all 4 brake pads and rotors, upper and lower ball joints. New battery this Summer. Also just had a brand new radiator installed and the transmission fluid changed the pan was removed. There is rust below the door and extend to the front fender it is like this on both sides. This is the only place on the car that there is any major rust. This is a Select Trac vehicle an a Inline 6 motor....There are no mechanical problems with this car. Like I said I have health problems and I don't drive it and it is time to find her a home and someone that will drive it. The drivers side lock does not work I use the OEM key fob to unlock the Jeep. I have purchased another aftermarket key fob so you will have 2 remotes to lock and unlock the car.. I have never taken this car off road and into the mud... I also have a set of new OEM fog lights. Any questions please feel free to ask. I am not looking to trade so don't ask. Car is being sold as is no warranty is being offered. Car is being listed elsewhere - So I have the right to end this auction early if it sells locally. |

2018 Jeep Wrangler spy shots give us best look yet
Wed, May 18 2016A couple weeks ago, we got a fairly comprehensive set of 2018 Jeep Wrangler spy shots. For fans of the JK-series Jeeps, it was all good news: the basic Wrangler Unlimited formula and shape is present and accounted for, meaning this new Wrangler will be an evolution of the current SUV, rather than a ground-up reimagining. The new shots give us some more detail than we had previously, and let us point out some JL Wrangler features that reaffirm FCA's conservative approach. First of all, the heavy camouflage doesn't manage to fully cover the exposed door hinges, just like in the current model, so those are a safe bet for the production version. The raked-back windshield might lose its ability to fold down, we've heard. The JL remains a body-on-frame truck with a solid front axle, evidenced by the front diff peeking out and the radius arms connected to them. The large exterior mirrors also appear to be carryover items, and the taillights look indistinguishable from the current JK. We expect the front fascia to remain clearly recognizable as a Wrangler, but don't be surprised if the headlight and sidemarkers incorporate some LED elements as a nod to current trends. Remember, the JL will spawn a pickup version, and will slim down for better fuel economy with some aluminum elements, likely incorporated in the body. We expect the Pentastar V6 to carry over, but be joined by a diesel and a mild hybrid at some point in the future. It'll be built alongside its JK predecessor for a short time in Toledo, Ohio. Supplier says Jeep Cherokee hack only affects FCA cars
Wed, Aug 5 2015Harman doesn't think that drivers need to worry about any further hacks of its products. The company supplies FCA's Uconnect infotainment system where a software vulnerability is responsible for a 1.4-million vehicle recall. "This experimental hack is unique to Chrysler," Harman CEO Dinesh Paliwal said to Automotive News. "This does not exist, to our assessment, in any other vehicle." The reason that the company wouldn't be involved is that automakers aren't simply plugging in the existing infotainment systems into new vehicles. According to Paliwal, Harman supplies the unit, but FCA and other automakers are able to make additional modifications for their vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also recently taken up the question of broader software vulnerabilities in Harman's products. On July 29, the agency began investigating the company to check for similarities between Uconnect and the infotainment systems supplied to other automakers. The Jeep hack became national news when two researchers were remotely able to take control of a Cherokee. The vulnerability in the cellular connection even gave control over the brakes. "Once people get in the car and get into the CAN bus, then you can start to mimic and mess up many, many things in the car," Paliwal said to Automotive News. Politicians immediately responded with legislation to create federal standards in hopes of protecting drivers better. NHTSA also opened an investigation to make sure the automaker's software update actually solved the problem. Related Video:
