**no Reserve** 1999 Jeep Grand Cheerokee Limited Edition *leather Seats*sunroof* on 2040-cars

The Jeep has body damage on the front driver's side fender/door and a dent on the passenger side quarter panel above the tire. There is paint missing off of the rear bumper and a scratch back the passenger's side. Please see pictures for overall vehicle condition. The transmission shifts smoothly; however, it does need the output speed sensor replaced to allow it to go into overdrive. The average cost of this part is around $35.00. The heat currently does not blow warm air and we are not sure what this is resulting from. The check engine light is on due to the output speed sensor needing replaced and the air bag light is on due to removing and replacing the fuse. The airbags have never been deployed. Other than the issues listed above and normal paint flaws for a vehicle being 15 years old this Jeep is in good condition with low mileage for the year. It is loaded with leather seats, multi-disc cd player, dual climate control, sunroof, power seats and windows, heated mirrors and seats, etc. We purchased and had installed new all season tires less than 5,000 miles ago. We had a transmission cooler and rain guards on all four doors installed on the Jeep and the windows tinted. Jeeps are known to last a very long time and go excellent in the snow. Kelly Blue Book fair value on this vehicle is $3,100. We are selling this due to purchasing a truck and no longer have a use for it. If needed, can deliver within a 50 mile radius for an additional cost. We also have custom fit Husky floor liners for an additional cost. Please contact me through eBay with further questions. |

2015 Jeep Renegade First Drive [w/video]
Fri, Jan 23 2015Would it surprise you to hear that a strong, vocal and loyal owner base can sometimes be a hindrance to automakers? Of course, no brand would ever admit such a thing. And sure, on the surface, you might think that having people passionately champion a brand would provide nothing but perks. As we've seen over the years, though, there are plenty of times when that's not the case. Jeep has most recently fought this battle following the arrival of the new Cherokee, where two-tracking purists and rock-crawling enthusiasts bemoaned the nameplate's dip into Crossoverdom. Now, with its latest vehicle, the off-road brand is trying to keep this vocal minority happy (or at least quiet) while building a crossover that has general-purpose appeal to consumers in an increasingly crowded and important small CUV market. This balancing act has produced the 2015 Renegade, a vehicle that, following our testing in sunny San Jose, CA, we're quite confident will appeal to both brand loyalists and the uninitiated, alike. Before we dig into the meat of our First Drive, if you're here looking for a review of the Renegade Trailhawk and its off-road abilities, you're out of luck. We did drive it, both on- and off-road, and will be publishing a feature on it in the very near future. But for now, we're focusing on the volume model, the Renegade Latitude. Instead of the off-roader-meets-E.T. appearance of the Cherokee that's polarized so many, Jeep has dipped its brush in the tin marked "Heritage," fitting a simple seven-slat grille, historically appropriate round headlights and square taillights. In between all that, there are flared trapezoidal wheel arches, like you'd get on a classic CJ or MB, tall windows to let in plenty of light and short overhangs. It's not the broader strokes that contribute to the Renegade's adorably busy exterior, so much as the myriad of smaller styling details that visually attach this new model to Jeeps of the past. The hood is long and mostly flat, forcibly recalling the bonnet of the original Willys MBs and Ford GPWs that US troops used to strategize, sermonize and operate on during World War II. But rather than make it flush with the grille, it bleeds over the headlights, like the front of an infantryman's helmet. The X shape found throughout the car is reminiscent of military-style jerry cans, while the mirrors are door-mounted, like Jeeps of old. The roof, meanwhile, can be blacked-out, further linking the Renegade to its big brother, the Wrangler.

Inexperienced Jeep driver buries his Wrangler at sea
Mon, May 16 2016There's an old maxim in off-roading that states, "Four-wheel drive doesn't keep you from getting stuck, it just gets you stuck in worse places." The truth of this statement was perfectly illustrated recently in a YouTube video of a Jeep Wrangler digging its own grave at the beach. On May 11, a YouTuber named Dan M uploaded a video he titled, "Drunk guy doesn't know how to off-road and ruins nice Jeep." The video, shot at dusk on a rocky looking beach, shows a blue Wrangler driving out into the surf without a care in the world. Dan, providing commentary along with an unseen female companion, was impressed with the Jeep driver's dash at first. "Wow, he must do that a lot because he ain't scared of getting stuck or anything," said Dan. As the Wrangler got deeper into the water, the Dan's friend expressed her doubts that the Jeep driver would make it out, especially when the Jeep got snagged on a little spit of sand sticking out into the water. Dan wasn't worried, however. "No, he'll manage to get out of there, he'll make it out of there. He'll back out and get out," he said. Dan's confidence in the Jeep driver was sadly misplaced, unfortunately. The driver managed to get the Jeep stuck on the sand bar then made the rookiest of rookie mistakes–he just gunned it. "Oh man, he's done! He's done!" yelled Dan as the Jeep driver proceeded to dig a huge hole in the sand that sunk the Wrangler up to its frame just as the tide started coming in. With that kind of dunking, especially in salt water, that Wrangler was probably a total loss, much like the Grand Cherokee that got washed downriver last week somewhere in Europe.
