1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 4WD, 4.7L V8, Quadra-Drive, exterior is Sienna Tinted Pearl in color (essentially a maroonish color), interior color is Camel (essentially a tan), power everything including heated seats, sun roof, no service light issues, starts right up, runs and drives strong, mini overhead console, heated mirrors, rear view mirror auto day/night, automatic headlamps, power front seats, security alarm, cargo compartment net, tow package, Infinity Sound System, window vent covers, has a remote start system with two remotes (personally I am not sure how it works), and a luggage rack.

Please do look over the pictures to make your own observations. The following is a brief description of what I have observed. Vehicle has normal small dings and scratches on exterior with minor spots of rust at corners and at front wheel well tops. Luggage rack has some paint rubbed off, here and there. On the hood, in three spots, the clear coat is flaked off. New tires have less than 100 miles on them. A brake light bulb is out and a fog light. Automatic with four wheel drive, low and high and all transmission gears work as they should. Near time for a scheduled oil change.  Drivers side rear view mirror, needs replacement. Interior leather driver's seat has several cracks, passenger side has a few cracks as well, rear seats in excellent shape. Previous owner was a smoker. Memory and heated seats work as they should. Small tear in the driver’s side door elbow rest cover. Slight damage to front right bumper cover. AC and Heat both work, however mechanic indicated that the mix door will require repair so that both blow out properly.  Rims have some blemishes at centers. Leather on steering wheel is cracked and but has new cover on it. New floor mats as well. Left front CV boot torn and makes the associated occasional clicking noise when making hard turns. Rear storage compartment floor carpet has slight damage from rubbing. Rear storage compartment 10 disc CD changer factory integrated with stereo.

I have tried to list as much as I can think of, below is a list of features that the VIN lookup gave as factory installed options. Please ask about anything that I may have forgotten to cover above or below and feel free to message me to arrange an inspection of the vehicle.

All hail the Hellephant, Mopar's 1,000-horsepower crate engine

Wed, Oct 31 2018

It's shocking to say this, but the all-powerful Dodge Demon looks weak now that Mopar has unleashed the Hellephant. This crate motor makes 1,000 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque, and its name is a combination of the nickname for the old 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8 and, obviously, the Hellcat. This monster is a 426-cubic-inch version of the current third-generation Hemi V8 topped by a supercharger similar to what the Hellcat line packs. Everything is cranked up to — or perhaps, past — 11. The engine block is made of aluminum and weighs 100 pounds less than the equivalent iron block. All of the internals are forged. The stroke and bore have been increased. The supercharger produces 15 pounds of boost and displaces 3 liters; more than the 2.7-liter blower on the Demon and the 2.4-liter blower on the Hellcat. And as big and powerful as it is, it will still rev to 7,000 rpm. It's a thoroughly monstrous motor, but shockingly, it won't be that difficult to live with. For one thing, Mopar will offer a complete kit to get the engine up and running, including an engine computer, wiring harness and drive-by-wire throttle. It also runs on 93-octane pump gas. That's especially amazing considering the Demon engine "only" makes 840 horsepower, and that's on race gas with 100+ octane fuel. It also has us wondering what the Hellephant could make on racing fuel. The Mopar folks did say that there's room to add more power. Pricing wasn't announced for the Hellephant engine. The Hellcat crate engine retails at $19,350 directly from Mopar, so it's safe to assume that the Hellephant will go for more. The installation kit with the computer and harness will be an extra charge of likely over $2,000, based on the Hellcat kit. The engine and the kit will be available in the first quarter of 2019. Jeep Wrangler Mojo and Cherokee Dakar teased ahead of Moab Easter Safari

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Jeep has an annual tradition of debuting wild, new concepts during its Easter Jeep Safari, and this year looks to be no different. The automaker has already confirmed two of the six vehicles for 2014 - the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) and Wrangler Mojo. This year's event runs in Moab, Utah, from April 12-20.
There are no official details about either of the concepts yet - Jeep will release more info on the new models next week. Judging by the pictures, though, the Cherokee Dakar appears to be lifted with some knobby off-road tires. The Wrangler Mojo looks to have a bulging hood that might hide a more powerful engine underneath.
Past vehicles at the Easter Jeep Safari have included a Hemi V8-powered Wrangler, a classically inspired pickup and modernized Jeep Forward Control. Since this is the brand's chance to express itself every year, hopefully it has some more sensational concepts up its sleeve. Scroll down to read the little information that has been revealed about this year's models so far.

NYIAS: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, ooh-rah!

Tue, Apr 5 2016

I was very happy to see Jeep offer a stand-alone, off-road-oriented model to the Grand Cherokee for 2017, the Trailhawk. This is not the first time for a GC Trailhawk, as they offered a limited run a few years ago to see if there might be a market for such a model. Looks like there is, as there are Trailhawk models for the Cherokee and Renegade, and now the Grand Cherokee as well. Just to be clear here, Jeep has always offered off-road ready packages (tow hooks, one inch more ground clearance, skid plates) for the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee in the past. They were called "Up Country," or more recently, "Off Road" groups. That was all well and good but, at least where I was living, almost impossible to find. Rarely would you ever find one so-equipped on dealer lots. If you ever saw one on the street, most likely the owner special-ordered it. Having said that, now that I'm living by the beach, I am seeing a few Up Country-equipped older Jeeps; not many, but more than I've seen in the past. As to the new Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawks; I'm seeing a bunch of them. It took a little while for the public to discover this trim level, but now I see them everywhere. Must be the orange tow hooks? Speaking of orange tow hooks... I'm not a big fan of them. Tow hooks for sure, orange ones, not so much; same with the matte black hood decal, not a fan. If I were ever to get a Trailhawk, it would be either dark gray or black, as that effectively hides the hood decal. So Jeep has packaged the Trailhawk as a premium model within each respective model line. While I fully understand the thinking, I do wish Jeep would also offer an entry-level off-road model, one with all the Trailhawk off-road goodness, but minus all the visual and luxury fluff. A lot of off-roaders don't want to pay, or can't pay top dollar for stuff they don't want or need. As to a name, how about "Trail," that being Trailhawk minus the "hawk;" or perhaps "Pioneer?" That's an old name from Cherokees of yesteryear. Back then the Pioneer was positioned as a mid-low level model. I think either name would work well for a back-to-basics-off-road-focused Cherokee and/or Renegade. Content it like the current entry-level Sport or mid-level Latitude models, but include the Trailhawk's off-road prowess. The Grand Cherokee should probably pass on that suggestion, as it would run counter to that model's high-end image. Related Video: Image Credit: Jeep Jeep open road
