I am selling (3) cherokees for one price.
The Gold one is a 1999 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 with a 4.0 engine and auto transmission. There is no under body rust that I could spot, even in the usual problem areas. According to the previous owner it had a crate motor put in at 168k miles. A few days ago it rolled 200k and now it sits at 200,100 miles. It may hit as high as 200,300 but no higher. That would put about 32k on the motor. Normally I'd be skeptical, but if you know jeeps, you know the light clicking lifter sound that they all have. This does NOT have that so I'm actually a believer that this is a new engine, however, don't take this for fact. I'm not sure how much it's lifted if any, however it is fitting 31x10.50x15's without rubbing and that is something I have never been able to manage on any of my other stock Cherokee's. The previous owner had also had this since 06' I believe (could be wrong) and they told me they didn't know if the 4x4 worked or not because they had never even tried to engage it. I tried it the other day just to make sure it worked and it engaged in both high and low perfectly. The only issues with it are that the drivers window does not work. It needs a regulator and motor. It has the window wedged up currently. A/C and heat both work great. Other than the driver window, the power windows all work perfectly, as well as door locks and radio. It has an aftermarket cd player that I'm not a huge fan of. It has an aux. hookup in the back (great design eh?) and is wired for subs. The only issues are the window, a crack in the windshield (only reason I haven't fixed it is that it doesn't obstruct drivers view according to inspection station so it's pointless to fix it), needs rear hatch shocks (they seem to hold up on warm days but not on cold days), and the headliner has lots of pins holding it up. Other than that, it's in quite good shape. It has one rip in the drivers seat on the side of the seat bottom. other than that they are in pretty good shape. Jeep also has roof racks. The blue jeep is a 1992' jeep cherokee. It is my friends dad's jeep but he wants me to sell it for him, so I have a clear title signed and ready. According to his dad, it's an 8" lift that was installed 2 years ago. The jeep has 33x12.50x15 dunlops. They are mud terrains with 95% tread (He said they were $1300.00 mounted and balanced.) I also have an extra set of 33x12.50x15s that are going with it as well. They have pretty good tread and are pictured below. I have doors for it if you want them but they are still red. The jeep was left in the weather with the carpet still in it. The frame is solid, but the front floorboards are shot. We cut out most of the rust and it is now time to put the floorboards in.This is where the 3rd jeep comes in. The 3rd jeep is just a body and is there for taking out the floorboards and possibly making a pop top for the back incase the new owner doesn't have a garage to store this in. This is an awesome machine if someone has time for it. It truly needs no money invested because it come with the seats and floorboards. I tested it in all gears and transmission and clutch are strong (stick shift). The transfer case is a bit tough to pull the lever, probably needs to be greased from where it got rained on inside. All in all, not a big project. If you have any questions or want to come check them out before bidding, call 252-342-2494. |

2019 Jeep Cherokee and Cherokee Trailhawk spotted in Pittsburgh
Mon, Nov 20 2017The current Jeep Cherokee debuted for the 2014 model year, meaning it's about due for a refresh. When it was revealed, the controversial styling and front-wheel-drive-based platform caused a stir among the Jeep crowd. While there isn't much Jeep can do about the platform at this point, it seems the automaker's designers have a much more traditional refresh in the works. Thanks to Autoblog readers Matthew Young and Mike Bothwell, we have a new batch of spy shots, include a couple of the new Cherokee Trailhawk. The refreshed Cherokee looks to crib quite a bit from the new Jeep Compass. Rather than splitting the front lighting like before, the driving lights, headlights and turn signals are all one unit. The whole fascia seems to be a bit more upright than before, though the grille is still canted backward. Out back, the Cherokee gets new taillights that feature clear lenses, again similar to the Compass. The rear bumper gets a mild refresh, too. The reflectors move up, and the Trailhawk's exhaust looks like it moves further inward. One of the Cherokees seems to have a crushed pipe, suggesting some unlucky engineer had a mishap. The red tow hook looks to be in about the same place. No word on when the Cherokee will go one sale, but expect some news as soon as the Detroit auto show in January. Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep
Tue, 17 Dec 2013In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Quick Spin
Thu, Sep 1 2016Jeep won't come out and say it, but the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk exists to bloody the nose of the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. America's off-road brand hasn't built a wheeling-specific version of its Grand Cherokee flagship in years, and the last GC Trailhawk was mostly stickers and tires. It was time for a true trail-spec Grand Cherokee again. We took a quick spin (two of them, actually) in the latest Trailhawk model, which joins Renegades and Cherokees with the same badge and off-road bent for 2017. Our time was limited, and so were our initial findings. After driving on and off pavement at Fiat Chrysler's proving grounds in Chelsea, Michigan, we can tell you that on the road, this Grand Cherokee has the same refined driving dynamics as any other. As for off-roading, the capability is still somewhat of an open question. Driving Notes The suspension and off-road system tuning are what really set the Trailhawk apart from other Grand Cherokees. Jeep tweaked the four-corner Quadra-Lift air suspension to improve articulation and suspension travel, while retaining the 10.8 inches of ground clearance of lesser Quadra-Lift Grand Cherokees. Paired with the standard Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, rear electronic limited-slip diff, and 20-inch Goodyear Adventure off-road tires, the Trailhawk is not short on capability (at least on paper). Unfortunately, paper is almost where this stops. The Trailhawks we drove were pre-production models with unfinished software calibrations. The throttle on the 3.6-liter V6 Trailhawk we took on the off-road course was super touchy and hard to modulate, regardless of which Selec-Terrain off-road mode was selected. Without a reliable throttle, we were bounding over obstacles instead of negotiating them patiently. This was back in June, and Jeep's PR reps assured us at the time that the engineers knew about the oversensitive throttle and have since confirmed that the issue has been fixed for production models, which are rolling off the line in Detroit now. We're planning to get into one of those vehicles as soon as one becomes available for a full review. Like the standard model, the Trailhawk's air suspension offers more comfort than the double-wishbone front and four-link rear suspension on the 4Runner.
