1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l - Black, Good Shape, Auto on 2040-cars
Evansville, Indiana, United States
|
Up for auction is my beautiful, black 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4x4. The specs and issues are listed above, but it is worth noting that this Jeep has the famous "bullet-proof" straight 6 engine in it. This thing will out live us all. I really hate to sell it, but it does not have a tow package, and I really need something built for serious hauling. I have loved on this Jeep in all of the best ways. She is older and shows it with cosmetic signs or wear (as listed in the condition description). That said, she is in over-all good condition, with only cosmetic issues that I am aware of. This Jeep is 4 wheel drive optional, allowing you to switch from 2WD to 4H or 4L. I am happy to discuss the perks and issues with her. All of my descriptions will be completely honest and forthright and you will likely notice the note of love I have for this car. Please feel free to ask for pictures, videos, or anything else you may want to know. When I bought her in winter 2008 I had a detailed inspection and have taken great care of her since. I put on upsized tires and air-shocks to smoothen out the ride, give it a gentle lift, and make her look pretty. The tires currently on there are pretty evenly work with about 50-60% of the tread left. Spare tire (donut) included. Manual is also included. This is a used car so it is being sold as-is. I have listed all issues and strengths to the best of my ability and open myself for any questions with a promise to answer completely honestly. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I do not want any issues because someone doesn't have the attention span to read or cannot follow directions. Message me for more pictures. eBay no longer allows links. ***I am also listing the Jeep locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time before the end of the listing*** As always; I am looking for a good, clear, honest, and mutually beneficial transaction. I care about the honesty of my deals and my feedback rating. If you are new to eBay and have no feedback, please message me before bidding just so I know you are a human. Please only bid if you are actually going to pay, no one wants jerks on eBay, or anywhere for that matter. No returns unless the item is dramatically not as described. I try to be as upfront as possible. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. I will be happy to answer quickly. Shipping: buyer must arrange & pay for shipping. I may be available to help with the logistics, but no promises. $200 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hrs of end of auction (PayPal). As per eBay's policy the rest will be delivered upon pick-up (cash or cashier's check). |

GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival
Wed, 12 Nov 2014Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.
Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle
Sun, Aug 21 2022The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Fiat Chrysler to pay $800M in Jeep, Ram emissions cheating case
Thu, Jan 10 2019WASHINGTON — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV has agreed to a settlement worth about $800 million to resolve claims from the U.S. Justice Department and state of California that it used illegal software that produced false results on diesel-emissions tests, but still faces an ongoing criminal probe. The hefty penalty is the latest fallout from the U.S. government's stepped-up enforcement of vehicle emissions rules after Volkswagen AG admitted in September 2015 to intentionally evading emissions rules. The Fiat Chrysler settlement includes $311 million in total civil penalties to U.S. and California regulators, up to $280 million to resolve claims from diesel owners, and extended warranties worth $105 million. It covers 104,000 Fiat Chrysler 2014-16 Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Cherokee diesels, the Justice Department said. Regulators said Fiat Chrysler used "defeat devices" to cheat emissions tests in real-world driving. Fiat Chrysler said in a statement that "the settlements do not change the Company's position that it did not engage in any deliberate scheme to install defeat devices to cheat emissions tests." The company did not admit liability. "You wouldn't pay $311 million total dollars to the federal government in civil penalties if there were not a serious problem," U.S. assistant attorney general Jeff Clark told a news conference. The settlement also includes $72.5 million for state civil penalties, and $33.5 million in payments to California to offset excess emissions and consumer claims. German auto supplier Robert Bosch GmbH, which provided the emissions control software for the vehicles, also agreed to pay $27.5 million to resolve claims from diesel owners. Owners will receive an average of $2,800 to obtain software updates as part of the emissions recall, Fiat Chrysler said. Elizabeth Cabraser, a lawyer for the owners, said the "substantial cash compensation" will ensure that consumers get the recall fix. Bosch, which also provided diesel emissions software to Volkswagen, also agreed to pay $103.5 million to settle claims with 47 U.S. states that said the supplier "enabled" the cheating and should have known its customers would use the software improperly, the New York Attorney General's Office said.
