For Sale: 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport - 144k miles, many new parts Alternator replaced, New Battery, water pump, tune up, thermostat, headlights, cold a/c. Engine & transmission are strong, outside is NOT a showroom car in fact its an out right beast, it has dents, dings, the paint isn't that nice either, no rust.
This was used as an animal rescue car, runs strong needs some TLC & work. I bought it as a project truck but don't have the time or extra money right now, good for someone with the know how and time, which I do not have.

This is a USED 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, selling AS IS. Many new parts but needs some work, may need brakes, air bag light is on, check engine light was on (was just told it was the O2 sensor) & will need an alignment. I bought this off of a friend who used it for animal rescue & the inside has a little dog smell to it also just had some rain water that got inside on the rugs only due to big storm we just had and high water but been vacuuming & cleaning it out the past 2 days

I bought it as a project truck but do not have the time, extra money or know how to put into it.

I have already put $900 into it and am losing money at this point but can no longer keep it & figured it would be best to sell it to someone that has the time and knowledge. Engine & transmission run strong and could make for a great winter vehicle. I am selling it because I am moving and also don't have the extra money or time to put towards this project. Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.

Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape

Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.
